I have a Lenovo ThinkServer TS130-1105 running Win 7 64bit Pro connected to two Dell U2212HM 1920x1080 screens. One is usually off. Power saving is set to turn off the monitors after 5 mins. For months it has worked fine and then all of a sudden about 2-3 months ago after the monitors are put into powersave, if I move the mouse to wake them up, the system is frozen. The mouse sometimes moves around for a few seconds and then it freezes too (usually it freezes the moment the monitors wake up). Then (usually) after 10-40 seconds the system unfreezes. Based on my screen clock, it looks like the system is frozen around the time the monitors go into power save, as that's the time frozen on the screen (even the second hand) until the unfreeze, at which time the clock is restored to correct time).
I have loaded the latest drivers I could find for the Intel HD Graphics and Dell monitors (actually didn't used to have a Dell driver before and it was working fine, but adding the Dell driver made no difference).
The only think I've noticed that sometimes helps a little is to unplug the monitors' power supplies for 20-30 seconds and then plug them back in. This usually gives 2-3 days relief, but once the problem starts it can occur randomly, sometimes almost every time the monitors go into powersave. I've tried unplugging all USB devices from the monitors and even the monitors' USB connections to the desktop, thinking perhaps the USB was causing the problem, but it made no difference.
Below is the report put out by the Intel HD Graphics utility.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks
