I have been playing a game that a lot of people might know as Second Life. The game flickers constantly and has rainbow colors around certain parts every time I try to play. I tried to look up the problem, and someone on the game forum said it had to do with my driver. I tried to get the newest graphics driver from Intel, straight from support, a couple days ago, and for a while, it worked, but it still said my graphics driver was Intel(R) Graphics 4000. I tried to ignore it, because the game was working fine and supposedly had the new driver running. Today, I discovered that the game was flickering and showing the rainbow colors again, and my graphics driver was Intel(R) Graphics 4000. I have tried to update manually, as well as uninstall the current driver and replace it with the new one, and it will either say that the graphics driver is up to date, or that it is not validated for the computer and to get the correct one from support. Also, when I try to get rid of the Intel(R) Graphics 4000 by uninstalling, it reappears when I restart the computer. I have a Dell Inspiron 15, Windows 8, 64-bit.
If anyone can help me in any way, you'd be a lifesaver. Well, not really saving my life, but perhaps my sanity.
