I have a driver issue that has been effecting my new Dell XPS 14 Ultrabook since I got it new six months ago. The system uses Win 8 - 64 Bit.O/S and two video adapters. One is an NVIDIA GT630M, the other is an Intel HD Graphics 4000
If I use any of the the latest Intel drivers, including the latest for the Intel adapter 9.18.10.3071 with a release date of 2013/3/19 I can't control the screen brightness with the F4 and F5 keys.
If I roll back the driver to 9.17.10.2768 with a release date of 2012/5/26 , the screen brightness control works fine and I can adjust it using the F4 and F5 keys.
I'm using the latest bios and chipset drivers from Dell and the latest NVIDIA drivers.
Dell keeps asking me to be patient and tells me that Intel are aware of the issue and that it should be corrected 'any day now'.
I just installed the latest Intel driver and the problem still exists.
This thing is driving me crazy and I'm hoping someone in the community can help.
Thanks in advance!
