I just got a new monitor through my employer. It is the Dell U2713HM. I have it at the recommended resolution (2560 x 1440) and connected with a display port cable, but the text is blurry. This is especially true if I increase the text size via the windows control panel. I have already tried tuning TrueType and tried it without TrueType in case that was better.
I have the Intel HD Graphics 2500 graphics adapter, and I have set the 3d setting to "best quality," as was recommended on one forum I saw to make the text less blurry. I haven't noticed a difference from doing that, though. The driver is up to date. It is from 12/12/2012 and is version 9.17.10.2932.
I am running Windows 7 Enterprise Service Pack 1, 64-bit. Intel Core i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40 GHz.
I have tried playing with the sharpness adjustment on the monitor itself, but sharpening at 100 just creates other problems with clearly viewing the text. Do people know what can I do to make the text clear and sharp? I would prefer to have the text size increased, but will any increase in text size percentage always be blurry? Would connecting with a different kind of cable help?
I have asked the IT guy here at work but he don't have any suggestions.
Thanks!
