Desktop icons moving after exiting full screen games after update to hd graphics driver 8.15.10.2827

I'm assuming this situation came about as a result of the graphics driver update since I noticed it right after the update and I can't think of any other changes that were made that might cause this.

I tried to do "Graphics properties" from the desktop the other day and got a GfxUI.exe error. Searched on it and determined updating the graphics driver was the best potential solution. Let Intel's auto-update select and update to version 8.15.10.2827. That did, in fact, fix that problem.

Shortly thereafter, played a full-screen game that I play all the time and noticed that after exiting the game, 4 desktop icons had been moved from where they've been for years. Moved them back. Next time I played the game, same thing - same 4 icons moved to the same places as before. Tested some other games that I play in full screen mode. Most, but not all, end up moving various icons around when exited.

I'm assuming the change in screen resolution, depending on what change is made by each game, is the reason the icons are getting moved but what I'm not sure about is if the graphics driver update plays a part. I'm guessing it must since I never had this situation prior to the update. And, if this is the case ... can we get this fixed soon? Or ... is there a version I can download and update that doesn't have this problem but will also allow me to access graphics properties without an error?

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x64, DirectX 11, MSI H55M-E23 (i3)

Thanks.
