Hi all,
I have a Dell Optiplex 990 desktop machine. It is running Windows 7 Enterprise, and it has Intel HD 2000 integrated graphics. The video output ports on the machine include 1 DisplayPort and 1 VGA port.
I have been battling to get dual displays to work on the machine. When I plug one monitor into the DisplayPort, and another into the VGA port, my computer does not recognize that 2 displays are connected.
After getting online, I noticed a lot of documentation telling me to find the "Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel". Unfortunately, this control panel doesn't seem to exist. It is not in any right-click menu, nor is it in the start menu, nor is it in the list of programs installed on the computer.
I decided to install the latest driver from Intel to see if it would change anything, so I installed the driver found here:
Unfortunately, it changed nothing. I still have no "Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel". So, Windows doesn't recognize 2 displays (and thus I cannot change my displays via the normal Windows method), and I don't have the special Intel program to be able to do so either.
Is there anywhere I can find the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel? Is there anything I can do to get it installed? Or do you have any other suggestions for me?
I know dual monitors are supported, as it says so in the documentation here:
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-031040.htm
So it can't be a problem of whether it is supported or not.
What can I do?
Thanks for any help,
David
