poor quality Intel 4600 Graphics
Hi all I hope someone out there can help with this!
I just bought a new PC i5 4460 using the Intel 4600 graphics and Windows 10, Quite frankly the picture on the monitor is crap! The text is fuzzy and photos are nowhere near sharp enough, certainly not HD.
I have read many many many web pages with people having this issue, but none of the solutions (mostly around changing settings) works for me. My previous PC used a Radeon graphics card (brilliant quality and no issues), am I expecting too much of the Intel 4600 to produce the same quality?
I have tried loading new drivers via the Intel Driver Utility which said I should install 15.33.38.4252, this had issues (entry points not found) at the end of the install, but did seem to install. When using Windows Device Manager to update to the latest driver it installs 10.18.15.4279 (which is what the system came with) so Intel and Microsoft seem to disagree about the latest versions.
I have a 24in monitor which on my previous PC just plugged and played, on the new PC I had to change the scaling (from 100x100 to 66 vertical x 72 horizontal) to get the picture to fit on the screen! Resolution (as recommended by Windows) is at 1920x1080.
Hopefully someone out there can help.

External Display Issue with Windows 10 + Firefox + Youtube/Facebook/Maps
Hello,
I have an issue with my external Display (NEC 2490WUXI with HDMI2DVI Adapter) which is reproducible with some different displays and cables and others not. I have a Vaio Pro 13 Notebook which is used here. The display goes to black/switches off for a second every 5-10 seconds when watching youtube videos, using google maps or facebook in Firefox. I can not tell whether this is a Windows 10 issue, a Firefox issue or a graphics driver issue.

No HDMI Output Intel HD 4600 (10.18.10.4252)
Hello,
I currently bought a GA-Z97X-UD3H Gugabyte mother and a i5-4590 processor. I am trying to get the HDMI output on the mother board to work by downloading the latest drivers from the Intel Driver Update Utility, but I have been unsuccessful. Once I download and install the suggested driver, the HDMI output works, but once I restart it doesn't. In order to get it to work I have to install the suggested driver again (which is already installed). Once in a while when installing the driver I get an error stating I am missing the igdumdim32.dll file. This is confusing since I am running a 64-bit machine.
Another note, the install utility suggests a driver for a 3rd gen processor. My i5-4590 is a 4th gen, so this just adds to the confusion.
Any help would be great!

HDMI: No audio with HD Graphics 5500 on Windows 10 (final)
Hi,
I'm using a Dell E5450 with i5-5300U. When connecting my notebook per HDMI, it displays an "Intel Display-Audio" device which seems to send audio data to the receiving device (green bars on the right indicate audio playback), but no sound can be heard.
I'm using Windows 10 x64 with 10.18.15.4256 Drivers.
How can I make it work?

i3 5157u with iris 6100 underperfroming?

I have recently bought a a new laptop with the iris 6100. I play a game called smite and checked the gameplay.intel website for the recommended settings. The problem is my laptop does not perform anywhere near the settings the website shows. I have 8 gig of ram and the laptop is HP Pavillion. Please advise.

It says no drivers found since when I downloaded Driver Booster I'm unable to play Minecraft due to an error about my graphics driver to outdated.

HD 530 4k@60Hz deep color issue!
I have a complex problem where I do not know if the issue are related to the Intel display manager driver for Skylake HD 530 GPU or the firmware on a LG UHD TV. The specification on both ends supports 4k@60Hz with deep color (4:4:4). I use the latest software for all ends including BIOS, Intel drivers, HDMI chip and TV firmware. I also use a 18Gb/s HDMI v2.0 cable (length : 2m) between Intel platform and UHD TV.
If I configure the system in dual display mode (one on hdmi1 v1.4 and one on hdmi2 v2.0) I will in some case be able to set 4k@60Hz 4:4:4 on HDMI2 (v2.0) port. All of the configuration are done on HDMI1 at 4k@30Hz 4:4:4 (v1.4) side and this settings are always working on both ports. When I have HDMI2 at 60Hz in a working state and restart the system it then fails again and also get sporadic new setting on both hdmi port. It seems that the Intel display manager are change the setting all the time after reset and it never configure the setting correctly when it operates automatically. In normal use I will only use one hdmi port and not any dual display mode. I only use dual display to be able to configure 60Hz mode.
One note is that if I use hdmi2 at 4k@30Hz 4:4:4 it always works and after restart it ends up in this configuration and everything works.
So I cannot know if the LG TV are sending strange settings to the Skylake platform or the Skylake platform fail on bad software implementation.
I’m Pretty stuck here and any help in the correct direction are appreciated.

Win10 crashes to BSOD after resuming from standby (Intel HD 4400 Windows 10 drivers ?)
I have an ASUS Zenbook UX302LA ultrabook with Intel HD 4400 graphics card. The problem is that after updating to Windows 10 the computer can't anymore resume from standby, but will always crash to blue screen of death.
Because of the video related error code in the message, I believe it could be due to graphics drivers. The issue remained the same with both the Windows built-in (or Windows update delivered) drivers and the one downloaded from Intel's website (Intel® Download Center)
The difference is that with Windows' drivers the error code shown on the BSOD is the following:
Video_TDR_Failure
and with the drivers from Intel's (15.40.4.64.4256 07/28/2015) the following error

Intel HD 4600 - DVI only, no HDMI video
I have followed all of the recommendations I have seen on the forums and still have the same issue.
I have an ASRock H87 Pro4. I use the DVI out to one monitor, and the HDMI out to another. They are both Asus VS228s running 1080p at 60Hz.
I am no longer able to use the HDMI port, only the DVI port works in Windows.
I have tried the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Updated BIOS
- Installed the latest graphics drivers (the second display worked after the installation, didn't work after rebooting)
- Uninstalled the graphics drivers. (the second display worked, but without the driver it ran at 640x480 or 800x600, didn't check)
- Installed the latest graphics drivers (again, the second display worked after the installation, didn't work after rebooting)
The HDMI port works while in the BIOS screens and bootup screen of Windows, but goes black immediately after beginning to load the login screen.

HD4600 driver does not detect HDCP support in my AV processor
System:
Intel Core i5-4670T(2.30GHz) HD4600 graphics
ASRock Z87E-ITX motherboard
8Gb RAM
Windows 8.1
I have the above HTPC (latest Intel divers) connected to a Merdian HD621 audio processor leading to a Pioneeer LCD diaplay
The Merdian HD621 and display are both HDCP compliant and I have other blu-ray players going though the system with no problems.
In the HDMI properties of my HTPC, however the Inel driver indicates 'HDCP not supported' so I can't play blu-rays via my HTPC.
I've tried different HDMI cables etc.
Any suggestions as to what the issue could be?

Windows 10 Drivers for Intel G45/G43 Express Chipset
I'm wondering where I can find the most updated driver for the G45/G43 Express Chipset for machines running the Windows 10 operating system. It's a 64 bit computer and I can't find anything online. I had seen a link to a beta driver Intel released but the link was broken so I wasn't able to download from it. Anyone have a link to the beta driver that works or another way to get the updated drivers?
Before you say it, yes I know the drivers are allegedly available through the Windows Updater, but it hasn't been installed as far as I know, and all updates have been installed. The game that is mainly suffering from the lack of the driver is Minecraft since it needs a more recent driver version than what I have. It ran just fine on Windows 7 when a supported driver was installed, but I no longer have that luxury.

IgfxEM and igfxHK modules take up a lot of CPU
Hello
I have a problem with my drivers for HD4600. Both igfxEM and igfxHK modules take up a lot of CPU use. Usually they are around 10-12%. My CPU is I7-4700MQ.
Now I know this question has been tackled here before but the thing is that the solution that was proposed was installing new drivers. I did that many times, tried both the newest (15.36.26.4294) as well as older ones (153623). Neither work. Neither change anything. This processes slow down my entire computer, especially flash videos. Usually I just end them with no consequences.
I have a Clevo W370ST laptop with a custom PremaMod bios. Windows 8.1 64 bit
I would be grateful for any help.

Windows10 driver for Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family?
I made the mistake of upgrading my laptop to from Windows7 to Windows10...
Browsing around the Intel support web pages, I found my graphics card (formerly code-named Cantiga) on the "Legacy Intel Graphics Products" page at:

Unfortunately, it appears that there is no updated driver for this hardware now that I am running Windows10.
During the upgrade (from Windows7) process, I notice that Windows10 detected:
Chip type: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
and installed Driver Version: 8.15.10.2702, which seems to work, okay for the most part.
...However, I need to use an application that requires OpenGL support, and apparently my current driver doesn't support OpenGL.
So my question is: Does anyone happen to know whether Intel is in the process of making an updated Windows 10 driver available with OpenGL support for my Cantiga hardware?

HD Graphics 4000 and Windows 10
Has anyone been able to figure out how to get Windows 10 to run any of the drivers offered by Intel for the HD 4000. Every time I try I get black screen with no cursor. Thanks.

Intel Graphics hd 4600 and....banding effect. How to fix it?
Hi, I use an Asus N550Jx laptop with windows 10 (64bit), Intel Graphic HD 4600 and Nvidia GeForce 950M. All the drivers have been already updated. The display ( full HD IPS) shows some banding effect among the colors. They don't appear in a right shade. I checked other displays that have the same problem. It is really frustrating to see it in a graphic work. How can I fix it?
