Intel HD 5500 Falout 4 issue

Hi Intel,

Couple of questions.

1. When do you estimate to have released an updated driver to cater for the Intel HD Fallout 4 graphics problems?
2. I have seen that you have released a beta version you recomend but I cannot find any beta that suits my computer:

Computer specs: Lenovo Yoga Pro 3

Windows 10, 64 bit

Intel® Core™ i7-5500U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.00 GHz)

Thank you for your help !

Flicker issue with HD 4600

$

Hi All,

I built a system for a friend using the following.

ASRock B85M-ITX Motherboard

I3 4370 Haswell CPU

Corsair CX430 Power Supply

8GB G.Skill PC3 12800 Memory

Windows 10 64 Bit

For the first few weeks of use, he had no issues. Now when he uses it for longer periods of time 1 hour+ he is having issues with the screen flickering.

He tells me he has to reboot to resolve it and its OK for a period of time.

I went over last weekend and installed Intels latest Beta drivers (20.19.15.4380) for Windows 10. He said it was OK for a day but then it started with the flickering again today.

Im about ready to slap in a video card and call it a day. Im open to suggestions and was hoping someone might have some ideas.

I was thinking it might be either motherboard related or possibly a flaky power supply. I was also thinking maybe their might be a heat issue. I used the heat sink pad that came with the CPU and thought maybe its worth monitoring the temps via an ASRock windows utility and see if things are heating up.

I did look at the temps in the BIOS after completing the build and everything looked acceptable.

Due to the intermittent nature of the issue i dont really have the time to sit in front of it and wait for the problem to occur.

Anyone recommend a stress test for video that might get the problem to occur or any thing else i can try to fix this.

Feature Request - implement EDID override

$

0

Hello,

it would be nice if the Intel Graphics driver would support overriding EDID information like described in this document from Microsoft:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg487330

Why is this needed?

In a common HTPC (multimedia PC) setup with a PC, AVR (audio video receiver) and a television, the EDID information stored in the receiver & television that is passed to the PC determines the video and audio capabilities like: supported resolutions, supported audio formats etc ..

The problem is that very often the system only "sees" the EDID information of the television, and not that of the receiver, and so you don't get support for audio formats like DTS, DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD that are supported by the receiver ...

The latest Sandy bridge CPU and corresponding chipset support all these sound standards, but they often not useable cause of these EDID problems.

Actually it really does not matter what video card / integrated graphics you use, NVidia and AMD graphics have the same problem, but their drivers

allows people to override the EDID information like is described in the above linked document from Microsoft.

Please implement this stuff, shouldn't be that hard to do, for one of you senior driver programmers it's probably just a few hours of work ...

Thank you

Christian

Need help with Iris 540 driver continually crashing on Surface Pro 4 i7/16/256

I have a brand new Microsoft Surface Pro 4, with an i7 CPU, 256GB SSD, and 16GB RAM. The Iris 540 driver crashes within a couple minutes of bootup, ever single time. I'm not the only one with this issue, acording to the Microsoft support boards. (I know that others are experiencing an issue where the Intel display driver will crash when trying to resume from sleep, but this is not that problem.)

Any of the four Intel Iris 540 display drivers I have found will crash within a couple minutes of bootup during use. To be more clear, the screen goes black and has to be powered off by holding the power button; there is no recovery or error message. The only stable driver I've managed to use is the Microsoft Generic Display Driver, which seems to be doing everything in software, avoiding the Iris chipset altogether.

Is anyone else having this problem, or just me? Did I get bad hardware? My SP4 is an i7/256/16, the model just released on 11/25/2015. Here are the drivers I have tried:

Build Driver date
--------------------
4236  11/20/2015
4236  11/18/2015
4308  10/27/2015
4256  07/17/2015

Here is the output from DXDIAG when the driver is installed, but has not yet crashed: http://pasted.co/98e68195

I have a thread open on Microsoft's support forums as well, but all they've done so far is to confirm that this is not expected behavior. (Duh!)

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/surfpro4-surfdrivers/sp4-iris-540-display-driver-keeps-crashing-not-the…

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks,

Hi everybody, first, sorry for my bad english!

I've an Acer Aspire ES1-512-C08J with Intel(R) HD Graphics integrated.. why i can't set a custom resolution on the Intel Control Panel?

That option isn't there.

I've tried to run "CustomModeApp.exe" but it didn't work, nothing happened.. there is another file named "CustomModeAppv2_0.exe", it is normal?

I've tried also with this.. it run, but ask me the installation of Net Framework 3.0, I clicked next, but , then, the system crash and didn't work anything.

How can I do to set a custom resolution on my notebook?

PS: I've the latest version of Intel Graphics driver --> 10.18.10.4358

Thank you, hope anyone can help me!

Problem with multiple monitors

I am currently using a laptop with two additional HP monitors and running Windows 10.  The Intel HD Graphics Control Panel only recognizes the laptop.  The only option in the dropdown is "Built-in Display."  The colors on the additional monitors need to be adjusted, but changing the Intel settings only changes the laptop.

How do I get the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel to recognize the additional monitors?  If this isn't the right place to ask the question, who should I contact?  What additional information do you need?

Thank you!

Intel Graphics driver crashes on Windows 10.

The laptop came with Windows 10 pre-installed. The intel graphics card is Intel(R) HD graphics 530. The driver cannot be updated- tried that I just get an error messge saying its not validated for install on my computer and the set up closes. Randomly the driver crashes and I get an error messge saying the Intel Windows 8 driver has crashed and been recovered and the screen looks weird. Clicking on whatever program was running in the task bar puts the screen back to normal- its different programs different times so no pattern there. Any solutions?

Issues with sound using display port. Have to restart up to three times before sound will work

Using Intel NUC 615SYH. On start up sound will not work.Restart and wireless connection only finds 2.4ghz connection. Restart again and sound works and wireless connection connects to 5ghz.

What I have done. Updated to latest bios.No change. Updated all drivers for wireless and latest graphics driver(which contains the sound drivers) Still no good.

NUC is connected to a IIyama 27 inch monitor by a mini display port to display port cable.

Contacted Intel support and was advised to do a clean install of WIndows 10. I have done this. Still the same.  Has anyone any ideas on this. I personally think the graphics/sound drivers have a bug.

capture card signal status receives 1080p instead of 720p

Description

Provide a detailed description of the issue

I would like to record 720p footage from my Skylake computer. I am using a separate computer for recording with a capture card. In VirtualDub, looking at the custom properties the SIGNAL STATUS does not reflect the resolution on the Skylake system. It always shows 1920x1080P. I have tested the issue on non-Intel system and the SIGNAL STATUS was correct (1280x720P). So I assume some kind of signal protocol is missing from the Skylake driver.

eye strain

hello,

I have a Notebook with Intel Core i7 4710 - Intel Graphics 4600 and external Nvidia Gforce GTX 850M for about 2 weeks now. I connect the Notebook on two different places per HDMI with nearly three year old lg monitors. With my old Notebook (Intel Core2Duo and Nvidia Gforce 9500GT) I had not any problems with this two monitors. However when I connect one of the two monitors with my new Notebook I get eye strain and headache. Of course I use the right resolution FullHD and tried out different brigthness and contrast adjustments in intel graphic properties. OS is Windows 7 Prof x64  and the newest drivers are installed. Version:15.33.22.64.3621
Nearly two months ago I purchased an other Notebook with Intel Core i7 4700MQ - Intel Graphics 4600 and Nvidia Gforce GT755 M. I had the same problem there and so I sent it back, because I thought that the Notebook has an defect. I tried out Windows 7 and Windows 8 and had the same eye problems in the two different OS.
Now I do not really know what the problem exactly is, because I have these problems with two different Notebooks on two different external LG Monitors and the integrated Displays of the Notebooks. But I thinkt the problem is the Intel HD 4600. Maybe that there is something wrong with the driver.
Do you have any ideas about this? Couse  I can't purchase and send back new Notebooks all the time.

Sorry for my bad english

The original OS of the computer was Windows 8.1 Pro, so I believe that the problem is related with the Intel HD graphics driver. How could be this problem solved?

Can't install drivers

$

I have a laptop with Intel HD 4000 and today I made the dumbest mistake trying to update it. I downloaded the updated drivers through the intel site (my OS matches the driver) and installing it gives me an error saying that it couldnt install one or more drivers. Then I tried manually updating through device manager which gave me and error saying that the driver doesnt support my computer? and to check if its x64 drivers and I'm sure it is.
So with that not working I did the stupidest thing. I did some googling and found that it worked for someone when he uninstalled the current drivers and installed the updated drivers after restarting. I did that and it gave me the same errors as before. I tried to install the exact version I used before which was working fine before AND THEY DONT WORK EITHER NOW. They give the same errors I got trying to install the updated drivers. I've been trying everything possible but there seems to be no workaround for this. I've tried installing through safe mode, same error. Now I'm stuck with no graphic drivers with my display adapter showing "unknown device"
After trying many different things. I came across something different. In the device manager, and running the update manually on the "unknown device" through the autorun thing now shows it trying to install the drivers but fails and gives me an error saying that it failed to install drivers because "the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error". Am I unable to install the drivers because my harddrive is dying?
