Game wont change resolution. 1 Option only

Specs:

i3-7100U 2.4Ghz

8gb 2133Mhz ram

Intel hd 620 21.20.16.4678 (1920x1080p60hz)

Windows 10 Home 64-bit

I can't seem to change resolution in some games. It only shows 1 option which is 1920x1080. I can't play with 1080p because it lags a lot. I want to play atleast 720p. Older versions(below 4534) fixes the issue but it reduces performance since it is an outdated driver.

Good morning, please help me!

even if i formatted my computer, reinstalling windows and drivers. Its anyway lagging in videogames (not only games, every programs with 3D/2D renderings).

A FPS just cutting in 1/2.

60 FPS to 30 FPS

40 to 20 etc.

and this is happening each 3 seconds, a non-stop synchronized lags.

Why are this fake lags. when my drivers working in a 100% functional.

Is that virus, or... i dont know... this continues 2-3 years... nothing helps.

here i diagnosited lag process:

bandicam 2017-07-13 19-14-23-102.jpg

~ HERE THIS STRANGE GROWING AND LOWERING STUFF WITH CPU. I tried to play Far Cry 3 BD with Low Graphic Settings

My videocard: Intel HD 4600

second videocard: Nvidia geforce 820M

my notebook: Acer Aspire E1-772G

Or.. i think its something about cache-saving problems. for example, if i play after starting windows, turning on computer. Something cache is growing by rendering 3D-Shaders, and in 3-6 minutes playtime my problem is beginning! Maybe this is my windows 8.1 64bit problem, which dont have something administrator permission. oh well, i dont know.

thank you!

WebGL rendering issue with Intel HD Graphics 620 and Windows 10

$
0
0

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Open https://sayduck.com/3d/jhqw?starting-variant=0od32t8kalqa on a computer with an Intel HD Graphics 620 (or 520).

2. The rendering is completely wrong.

What is the expected behavior?

On a machine with an Intel HD Graphics chipset, the rendering looks like this:

rendering_issue.jpg

It should look like this:

rendering_correct.jpg

That correct screenshot was taken from a computer with a different GPU chip. Also, I tried updating the Intel drivers to the latest version with no impact. Disabling hardware acceleration for webGL (ie. use the CPU for rendering) fixed the issue (both on Chrome and Firefox).

What went wrong?

The rendering of WebGL is completely wrong on computers with an Intel HD Graphics (tested with chipset 620 and 520 on Windows 10).

However, no errors are present in any of the major browsers' console, and support should be fine for both webGL and webGL2 on the computer (see attached webGL report files).

Also, the Graphics Feature Status of chrome://gpu has all elements green and "Hardware accelerated" (except for Native GpuMemoryBuffers which is not supported on Windows).

Can't find the name of the Intel ICD OpenGL driver

I have an HP Envy 750-424 desktop with an Intel HD 530 graphics driver.  This morning Windows automatically updated the graphics driver, and Chrome stopped working with an OpenGL ES Error  dialog box stating "Can't find the name of the Intel ICD OpenGL driver."  I rolled back the driver from 21.20.16.4574 to 20.19.15.4454 and it fixed the issue.  However, I suspect Windows will keep automatically updating the driver and causing this issue (it happened once before, with a different version number, and I was able to fix it with System Restore, so it seems to be a recurring problem).  I have seen in other discussions that some drivers are provided by Intel and some are customized by manufacturers--is 21.20.16.4574 provided by Intel or by HP?  Is this a bug that will be addressed ina  future driver version?

Thanks,

Use GTX 1070 for a triple display configuration and HD 4600 for 2 additional displays?! Bad FPS in DCS World!

Hi together,

I have an issue which came up suddenly after everything was running perfect up to now.

My Nvidia GTX 1070 has 3x27" WQHD displays connected. In DCS World (Flight Simulator from Eagle Dynamics) it is possible to export cockpit instruments to other external displays. So did I by using 2x8" displays. Unfortunately the GTX only can drive 4 displays max. So I choose to use my HD 4600 iGPU from my i7 4790K. This worked very good and I didn´t recognise any different FPS by using the two cards together compared to the single GTX. Then I upgraded to Windows 10 Creators Edition and the trouble started. The frames were capped at 29 FPS (59/2) independend on the settings. When I´m in the cockpit and have a look into the sky the frames went up to 75. I used to have 120+ doing this. The frames are all multiples of the frequencies of the displays (27"=75Hz, 8"=59Hz). Then I choose to go bak to Windows 10 Anniversary. Problem was solved. Now it came back without updating Windows 10 to Creators. I checked everything in regards to Vsync settings (DSR, drivers etc.). Nothing helped. With DDU I did fresh installations of the graphics drivers (both, Nvidia and intel) and figured out everything is good (except of missing 2 displays) until I install the intel driver (the latest from the intel site, 15.40.34.4624).

I´m out of ideas after searching the internet for 4 days now. Any help guiding me into the right direction is very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Xoxen

After leaving the intel nuc alone to for 45 minutes the displays turn off. However it cannot be woken up and the only way to get the computer back on is a hard reboot. I have remote management software  on this pc and can still send command to such as reboot etc.

Seems to be some sort of display driver issue. It is not set to sleep at all , in the short term i have turned off the settings that shuts the displays off. It has happened across two different NUCS over my sites. Started on monday , Updates were done last wednedsay.

Laptop running games is not in accordance with the Intel gaming site

Hello, I'm a new member, and I hope that you can help me with something.

Last December, I bought a Lenovo laptop

Core i3 6100U

Ram 4GB

Intel Graphics HD 520

Win 10 64 bit

Screen resolution 1366x768

I noticed on the Intel gaming website that I can play some heavy games like Company of heroes 2, Rainbow Six Siege and others.

But when I got into the games, they are barely running. COH2 I put to the lowest settings and it's still lag as hell.

Siege the same.

So is there something wrong with my lap or....the site is inaccurate?

Do I need to update drivers or something? If so, how can I update it, because I tried some time ago and it said, my graphic is not Intel made, so....that complicated things.

So how do I do it if I need to update driver?

Second, my lap is getting slower, is there any way to make it faster? I'm low on money so any non-cost options is welcome.

Thank you

Lagging animations at 4K resolution (running at Windows 10)

Hey there, I'm using Asus Zenbook UX510UW with 4K (3840 * 2160) screen with switchable graphics: (Intel HD Graphics 620 & Nvidia GeForce GTX960m).

My problem is that the windows animations are lagging (while maximizing or reopening the tab and opening start menu and especially while switching to the task view)

all of my graphic drivers are installed and up to date.

and I think it's related to My 4K resolution; Because I saw a lot of 4K screens (running at Windows 10) that they have the same problem.

but I had a laptop with a Full HD screen and I've never seen this problem at that.

and then I noticed when I change the resolution to 1080p, everything is very well, all of animations and effects are pretty smooth. This is interesting!

but I think the "Intel HD graphics 620" has the enough processing power and it can handle the Windows simple animations..! or is not Windows 10 compatible with 4K resolution. Am I right?

I thought this is related to Intel GPU Memory, then I have changed "Dedicated Video Memory" from 128MB to 512MB but It doesn't help.

I think this problem is only for who has switchable graphics (Intel HD Graphics with Nvidia or AMD).

because i saw many systems with one GPU (High-Performance GPU) and 4K resolution that they run Windows animations very smoothly

How I fix this problem? Is there a solution?

Sorry for my English, Thank you.

Video/audio problems in videos on my PC

I am having problems watching videos, have interference with Skype now. interference with music playback from media player and in general anything with audio/video effects.  It stutters, buzzes, stops/restarts playback and interferes with anything involving audio or video.  Have already spent time on chat with Intel tech and was able to get new driver downloaded.  That lasted the rest of the evening.  The next day it was the same old problem.  Do I need a new graphics card or maybe that wasn't the problem to begin with...

Intel Responds to Core i7-7700K Overheating Issue, Cluelessly Suggests We Stop Overclocking

People who buy the latest and greatest high-end Intel CPUs fit into a particular niche — they expect high performance. Some owners of Intel Core i7-7700 and i7-7700K chips have been complaining for months about mysterious temperature spikes, and now Intel has responded. However, that response was little more than canned PR nonsense, which has served only to further enrage affected users. The Core i7-7700 and 7700K are both quad-core chips with Hyper-Threading to bring the number of threads to eight. These are both designed to be enthusiast CPUs, but the K variant is particularly popular. The 7700K has a clock speed of 4.2GHz compared with 3.6GHz for the regular 7700, and you can push it far past the stock setting thanks to its unlocked multiplier. You always need to be aware of temperatures when overclocking a chip, and this is where some owners of the 7700s are running into issues.Multiple users have been noticing unusual temperature spikes as high as 90 degrees Celsius. In case you’re not familiar with CPU temperature ranges, that’s very high. The Core architecture has a maximum temperature threshold of 100 degrees, so owners have been understandably concerned. After 37 pages of complaints on Intel’s community forums, someone from the company finally issued a statement. It reads in part, “We do not recommend running outside the processor specifications, such as by exceeding processor frequency or voltage specifications, or removing of the integrated heat spreader (sometimes called “de-lidding”). These actions will void the processor warranty.” The spokesperson also said Intel has not identified any unexpected temperature variations in its testing. Basically, it thinks the temperature spikes are normal.

Driver crash during HEVC playback w/DXVA2 (resume)

Hello,

Over in the Kodi forums, many users are reporting an ongoing problem with Intel Graphics drivers for the past 2 years when it comes to playing back HEVC(x265) content on intel graphics hardware in Windows 7 and 10.  This problem is widespread and affects many hardware platforms including the NUC, HD4600, HD5500, i7 6770HQ and likely most others.  This crash happens when attempting to resume a HEVC encoded video file using current drivers on a windows platform with Kodi v15,16,17 and should affect any media player which uses DirectX 11 and up.

One user reports that the issue is linked to the use of "open-gop" parameter used for encoding media files using HEVC (which is default for most encoders).

I'm an IT professional but not in software development, I'd like to help in any way I can but please have a look over at the forum thread linked below for further details.  This will likely affect most of your platforms as HEVC becomes more and more prevalent.  Other players which are unaffected typically use a much older version of Direct X.

Intel Graphics 630: Audio drop outs because of slow dxgkrnl.sys

$

With my brand new motherboard Asus Maximus IX Hero and CPU Intel i7-7700, 3.6 GHz and fresh Windows 10 incl. Creators Update installation

when I listen e.g. to

https://soundcloud.com/pierreghiringhelli/blondie-heart-of-glass-oliver

and moving the mouse around, hover links, orange waveform, etc. I have min. 10 audio drop outs and crackles (on this one track) with my professional external audio interface Universal Audio Apollo Twin USB 3.0.

LatencyMon 6.5.1 reports this on my Asus PC:

LM_Asus.png

When I connect the audio interface on my 3.5 year old laptop "Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 i7-3630QM" which has the same fresh Windows 10 installation and settings, I don't have any audio drop outs and "graphics" problems:

LM_Lenovo.png

System info from my brand new Asus PC:

- OS: Windows 10 Pro, 64bit, Version 1703, 15063.413

- Motherboard: Asus Maximus IX Hero (latest BIOS 0906)

- CPU: Intel i7-7700, 3.6 GHz

- Intel Graphics 630 (Driver 21.20.16.4627)

- External Sound: Apollo Twin USB 3.0 (Driver 9.2)

(connected on one back USB 3.0 on Asus MB)

Of course I've also set and tried in BIOS various settings to avoid audio drop outs

- Intel speed Step => disabled

- Turbo Mode => disabled

- CPU C-States => disabled

- Intel Speed Shift => disabled

- CFG Lock => enabled

Also all possible performance settings in Windows 10 have been done which are recommended by various major music software & hardware companies.

I've also tried

- newer drivers which all didn't solve the problem. Because of another bug (https://communities.intel.com/thread/114464) I still use build 4627.

- the audio interface on USB ASMedia 3.1 and on PCIE/USB3 card Startech PEXUSB3S44V - no difference.

I've googled around and found another user with a very similar problem - near the same PC hardware as I'm using:

https://superuser.com/questions/1137033/usb-lag-when-mouse-cursor-changes

I've enabled Mouse Properties / Pointer Options / Display Pointer Trails (long) and it has reduced the amount of audio drop outs/crackles to 1-2 instead of 10. Unbelievable why this happens.

Of course it has nothing to do with the mouse driver - I've tried MS default and LogiTech SetPoint driver and the USB connector on all possible connections - no difference.

Finally I was able to avoid the latency problem:

The support from Universal Audio told me to use the new added feature "USB Safety Buffer" (in their latest driver 9.2) which is part of the "USB audio streaming protocol 2.0" which has been added to Windows Creators Update.

http://www.uaudio.com/media/support/downloads/Apollo_Software_Manual_USB_v92.pdf (search for "Safety Buffer").

I've increased the value from "Minimal" to "Small" and all audio crackles are away.

You might be interested in to search for "USB audio streaming protocol", e.g: http://www.edn.com/design/consumer/4376143/Fundamentals-of-USB-Audio

Also a very good article if someone is interested: http://allen-heath.helpserve.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/1002/201/qu-windows-driver-understanding-and-troubleshooting

Finally - the latency problem with this Intel Graphics Driver still exists,

because as far as I understand the Intel graphics driver must return within a specified time (read links above) to MS Direct-x dxgkrnl.sys.

It can't be that on my brand new fast PC I'm having this problem but not on my old Lenovo laptop with same Windows 10 installation.

Other users don't have an expensive audio interface with a superb company like Universal Audio who are updating their drivers - e.g. Native Instruments doesn't support a Windows 10 driver for their Komplete 6 hardware until yet (the audio interface I'd before).

Can not manually maximize a program window with the right border as I would press Maximize icon on program window

I've fresh installed Windows 10 Pro 1607, 14393.1198 on an Asus Maximum IX Hero (latest Bios 0906) with i7-7700, 3.6 GHz and using monitor Samsung SMS24B750V with max. 1920x1080 via HDMI, the latest graphics driver 21.20.16.4664 is installed (base driver only).

1) When I try to select the right border of a program window with the mouse I can not move it to the max. right edge. The most right 20-30 pixels are not reachable. When I press the Maximize icon of the program window, the full size will be used.

2) Additional very strange is LibreOffice (5.3.3, 5.3.2), it does not show the main menu (text menues) - only the toolbars - and when I try to select a row with the mouse, the row above will be selected. Also when I try to select an icon of the 2nd toolbar, the icon above of the 1st toolbar will be selected. So it's impossible to work with LibreOffice.

I don't have these problems on my 3 year old Lenovo laptop (also 1920x1080) nor did I have these problems with my previous motherboard from Gigabyte (2010).

Enclosed 5 screen shots.

Compare Ultra-Edit MaximizeWorks - and with RightMaxNotPossibleWithMouse - the right part is used - not used (can not reach - a few black pixels from the background - a "black line").

See strange LibreOffice layout. Also the left shows cutted things, also the font is horrible to read. Didn't install an own Java 1.8u131.

Screen shots taken with SnagIt.

Any ideas?

Problem with LibreOffice is more important.

Intel has reproduced a flickering textures issue with several different games and has started investigation (Bug ID 1405609824), so far it appears that it affects primarily games running on DirectX* 9 (i.e. older games). As more information becomes available I'll be updating this thread.

If you encounter a similar graphics glitch with your PC Game, feel free to post the details here.

So far this is the list of games that have been identified in the communities by users that present this flickering textures issue:

Halo 2*:

Good morning, please help me!

even if i formatted my computer, reinstalling windows and drivers. Its anyway lagging in videogames (not only games, every programs with 3D/2D renderings).

A FPS just cutting in 1/2.

60 FPS to 30 FPS

40 to 20 etc.

and this is happening each 3 seconds, a non-stop synchronized lags.

Why are this fake lags. when my drivers working in a 100% functional.

Is that virus, or... i dont know... this continues 2-3 years... nothing helps.

here i diagnosited lag process:
