I have a fairly new pc.. its an Acer Aspire... with graphics card by intel.. I have been told that my graphics card is playing up when I do anything with graphics.. I am a facebook game player but there is so much lag and or burping on the screen I can't play anything.. it also does it on any web browser and any game I have downloaded on my pc.. I have the Intel Pentium CPU J2900 2.41 Ghz.2417 Mhz etc etc.. technical language confuses me.. sorry.. My pc has 900 GB of memory and only just over 100 GB used.. so plenty of memory.. I have downloaded the newest drivers so it says but no difference. Is it my graphics card that is not able to process too many graphics? I have never run into this problem before and dont know how to fix it. I am just frustrated and annoyed that I can't do what I want on my pc.. I have plenty of memory and ram and a good internet speed .. have checked all of these ..need imput please.. Do I need a new graphics card and if so which one is best or which one can I buy for my pc..

Intel Iris 650 with Windows 8.1

I have a Intel NUC7i7BNH unit I just bought and I was wondering if anyone had any success getting the Iris Pro 650 VGA drivers to work with Windows 8.1?  I know it's not officially supported but I saw others on another post with the 620/630 video card get the windows 10 only drivers to work.  The only thing is that it's only for the 620/630 and not for the 650.  I got Windows 8.1 installed fine on the unit but the VGA driver is the main one that I can't get the driver for.  Google results show nothing about anyone getting the Iris 650 to work on Windows 8.1

The other posts I found:

Can't find correct graphics driver for windows 7.

Re: Use Intel UHD graphics 620 in Windows 7?

I was hoping that someone else has gotten it to work here and can share their results here.

No HDR Options on Intel Graphics 630

Dear all,

I am sorry to bother you again, but I have another issue with the Intel Graphics 630 Controller. The HDR option is off and I cannot actívate it. I cannot stream in HDR either. I have a Sony XD90 Series, which is fully compatible with HDR. I tried to play a HDR game on the Ps4 Pro and it Works perfectly. I also tried to connect the computer with my dedicated graphic card (Nvidia Geforce GTX 980ti), and the option "Activate HDR" is active. COnversely, I do not have this option when I use the Intel graphics 630 driver. I checked the fórum and it seems that I am not the only one to have this problem, but it has not been solved yet.

Obviously, I have the latest Intel and Windos driver, the Tv is connected via HDMI and I am using the integrated video driver.

Please find attached all the information that you need to address this issue.

Best regards,

I have returned 2 laptops because I could not get .mpg movie files to run in 2 separate karaoke programs that I would like to use in Karaoke shows. For what ever reason The programs I am using will run my CDG files with out any issues. The .mpg files I can play within windows movie player and they run fine not any problems. But as soon as I try and run them within the karaoke programs they will not run the video part of the file correctly. I have and older laptop that will run these files and with no issues. It seems that the intel 620 driver is the problem. I have had both laptops to geek squad at best buy to solve the issue But they could not figure out how to fix the video problem. I am going to have either figure out how to get these files to work or go to another chip set. At this point I have returned both laptops so I have no way to try anything to correct the problem. If the 620 driver is turned off . The .MPG files will work within the programs. The issue with this is I can not put they out to a monitor because that is no longer available to me without the 620 driver turned off.

The 2 Karaoke programs  I am using are

How to repro

Please provide steps to replicate the issue.  These steps are very crucial to finding the root cause and fix.
A screenshot to illustrate the issue is a huge plus. A video of the failure is even better! Attach to the post or provide the YouTube link.

  1. Install a fresh copy of Windows 10 1709
  2. Allow Automatic Updates to update the driver or download & install the latest iGPU driver.
  3. During the installation the screen goes black and stays like this.
  4. I learned my lesson after multiple OS reinstalls and created a system restore point, this is the only way other than reinstalling the OS to remediate the problem.

Will create a video of the issue and add it to the post later.

Video of the repro:

https://youtu.be/T6TJVuqRaDY

As soon as the IGPU driver would get installed, the screen goes black. In order to prevent the automatic installation we can set the following 2 keys:

Policy Specify search order for device driver source locations

ValueName: searchorderconfig

item: decimal: 0 => Do not search Windows Update

http://gpsearch.azurewebsites.net/#183

Policy Do not include drivers with Windows Updates

ValueName: ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate

Enabled Value:
decimal: 1

http://gpsearch.azurewebsites.net/#13437

In case it could not block it timely, we can use the following method to get the machine to boot:

  1. Boot the machine offline with a USB key or recovery environment
  2. Load the system hive from “The C drive (might have another drive letter:\Windows\System32\config”
  3. Export & delete the service that loads the IGPU driver:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\igfx

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\igfxCUIService2.0.0.0

This will get your machine back to using the basic graphic driver and you can apply the keys to block drivers.

Hello!

We are using video surveillance software with fullscreen mode on 3 monitors, connected to HD630 (Intel i7 7th generation) with Intel HD Graphics driver version 15.60.2.4901 and after startup all submonitor's screens become filled windows background color (black in my case). Seems like the window on the screen become fully transparent, but looks like any actions on transparent window's elements is working.

Main monitor's screen stay OK.

We also reproduced that issue on HD630 on i5-7500 and i7 6-th generation with 15.60.2.4901 driver version. Driver version 22.20.16.4664 do not have this problem.

As we check, all versions newer than 4664 do have this problem.

OS: Windows 10 Pro

Could you please help with the problem?

What is the maximum output resolution on Intel HD graphics 620 video card.

Hello, I currently own a dell laptop with Intel HD graphics 620 video card. I am in the process of purchasing an external monitor to connect to this laptop. I need to know what is the maximum output resolution on this video card. The monitor I am trying to purchase has resolution 2560 by 1440. So I need to know if with Intel HD graphics 620 card I indeed will be able to see 2560 by 1440 resolution on my new external monitor or will it force me to lower resolution such as 1920 by 1080?Thank you for your help.

intel hd graphics 520 flickers from HDMI output

I'm a teacher who connects to many different classroom projectors. Sometimes I connect via HDMI directly to the projector and sometimes I connect via an HDMI to VGA converter from Insignia. Either way the projector constantly flickers and disconnects only to come back a few seconds later, flicker and repeat.

I have a Toshiba Radius 4K two in one with an Intel HD Graphics 520.

I thought I saw that the max refresh rate was 59 on this, but the Intel Graphics won't allow me to go to lower than 60 Hz. I've tried all combinations of resolutions. Some flicker a bit less.

HELP!

tearing when playing a video

$

0

I have three PCs with an Intel GPU driving a display (HDMI to TV/Projector for 2, 1 is a laptop)

They ALL exhibit screen tearing when playing back HD video, in multiple software packages.  VLC, BeyondTV, Windows Media Player, HDHomerun.   The source is an MPEG2 Transport Stream.  (Broadcast TV).

The projector is hooked to a G4500/HD530, the TV is hooked to a NUC with an i3-5010U/HD5500 and the laptop is an i3-3217U/HD4000.

The following drivers are in use:  21.20.16.4860, 20.19.15.4835, and 10.18.10.4885

All are running Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1, with all updates current.

The tearing I'm describing is the same on all the displays.  It looks like in the top 1/4 of the screen there is one frame, and the bottom 3/4 is another frame.  It's most obvious when there is panning on the video.  The position of the horizontal tear varies slightly but it seems like it's always in the top 1/4 of the screen.

Reading the forums it seems there are lots of people with the same issue.  Is there something that can be configured to keep this from happening?

HD Graphics 4600 stopping due to reported problems

$

Hello,

Here's some information on my laptop:

It's a Levovo Y50-70 touch

Windows 10, version: 10.0.16299

Intel Core i7-4700HQ 2.40GHz, version: 10.0.16299.15

Intel HD Graphics 4600, version: 20.19.15.4624

Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M, version: 23.21.13.9065

At random times the Intel graphics driver will stop working with the status code "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)." When i notice this there is sometimes a box about the size of a desktop icon(~256x256), where the color of the pixels are distorted. This box will appear at different locations. I also notice this when I cannot connect a second monitor to my laptop. I will restart my computer and that usually fixes it, but this has become more frequent.

I know that this version of the graphics driver is "custom" from Lenovo, but it has been causing me problems. I see that for my laptop there is a driver download available for an "Intel VGA driver, version:10.18.15.4279" from the Lenovo website. It shows this driver was released: 7/26/2016 (Is this the same as it's current updated date?) whereas my current driver date is: 3/8/2017.

Should I uninstall the current one on my laptop and use this from Lenovo or should I download the Intel driver from the Intel site?  What steps can take to resolve this?

Thank you,

Gav

Hi everyone,

Description

We are using mfx lib to do hardware decoding on a NUC7i5BNK composed of Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640

When playing the video...

The CPU is stable using this drivers (15.45) :

But as soon as we use 15.46, 15.47 or 15.60

Results

The CPU is increasing from 20% to 100% within 4 hours.

In the end...

Looks like a "CPU Leak" from the new drivers located in the libmfxsw64.dll

HD530 cannot resume from Hibernate 'Page Fault in NonPaged Area'

Hello,

On my Lenovo Thinkpad P50, I'd been using so far without any issues.

After the latest Microsoft updates, system cannot resume from Hibernate. Keep getting BSOD - "Page Fault in Non-Paged Area" and research shows that it is most likely due to INTEL Graphics driver.

From my dump file:

bug check string - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

bug check code - 0x00000050

Parameter 1 - ffffdd08`d044fff0

Parameter 2 - 00000000`00000002

Parameter 3 - fffff801`14b8a990

Parameter 4 - 00000000`00000002

Caused by Driver - ntoskrnl.exe

Caused by Address - ntoskrnl.exe+1640e0

Device manager shows:

HD 530 Intel driver version - 23.20.16.4877 dated - 12/1/2017.

Nvidia driver version - 22.21.13.8205 dated - 5/1/2017

Now I have to shut down the machine every time instead of Hibernate/Sleep and is becoming an annoyance. Am frustrated to note that this has been going on for months and all parties concerned - Intel/Microsoft/Lenovo have not come up with a fix that resolves the issue completely.

UHD620 video hardware decoding cause inaccurate color

$

When I watch youtube with chrome, I found that the the color of video was inaccurate, i.e. green being too green, orange being too yellowish etc.. And if I pause the video or move my mouse to make the video control to show up, the color returns to normal. If I disable the hardware acceleration for video in chrome://flags, the color is always normal. So I'm pretty sure that it's the Intel UHD620 videl hardware decoding that causes the inaccurate color. Is there any way to fix this issue? The problem only occurs when video is played in full screen.

Hi. I started experiencing BSOD with APC_INDEX_MISMATCH of the offending driver igdkmd64.sys. I had posted on Microsoft's fourms but as it appears to be Intel driver related this seems like the appropriate place to post. Others experiencing same issue: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH igdkmd64.sys - Microsoft Community  and my posting APC_INDEX_MISMATCH ERROR - Microsoft Community

I am getting reports of other users now experiencing the same issue on other systems.

Environment:  Either Windows 10 1703 or 1709.

Intel HD 630 - APC_INDEX_MISMATCH - igdkmd645.sys

Hi community.

I am experiencing a BSOD on my Optiplex 3050 with Intel i5-7500 CPU (HD Graphics 630).

Connected are two identical monitors LG 23EA53. One via HDMI and the other via DisplayPort.

The actual driver is the 23.20.16.4901, but I also tried the one that DELL offers and the one that is provided by Microsoft update.

Another member told to try an older version of the driver, but every driver results in the same BSOD.

OS is Windows 10 Pro x64.

I set the energy setting not to switch the monitors neither the system off. Only when I shut it down.

It is strange, because even with those settings, sometines the system turns the monitors off. And on turning them back on moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard the BSOD occurs.

What I noticed, is that the BSOD occurs often when I move files. Sometimes I have to leave the system doing the backup and when I come back the monitors are off. O turning them back on, the BSOD occurs and I have to restart the job.

Already tried reinstalling windows with every driver mentioned above, but nothing helps. The error continues.

Hope you can help me on this issue, people. I need to get the system stable.

Regards!! And thanks in advance!
