Windows* 7/8/8.1 Driver (32 & 64 bit) Version 3345

$

0

Greetings everyone!

We have officially launched our latest driver supporting 3rd and 4th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® HD/Iris™ Graphics for Microsoft* Windows 7, 8, & 8.1.  The version is 3345 and is available at the following locations.

32-bit:  Download Center - Release notes here.

64-bit:  Download Center - Release notes here.

Also; Windows* 8/8.1 Graphics FAQ.

Please provide only constructive feedback here.  Harassing comments, needless insults and personal attacks are not permitted, and will be promptly deleted.

If there are issues that carried over from previous drivers that you are still experiencing, feel free to announce them again here.  However, we are all mostly aware of some of these, so I will list them here;

NEW: The driver reports that you have support for DX11.2.  This is incorrect, you have support for DX11.1.

CURRENT:

  • Users with 3rd party cards installed alongside Intel graphics are experiencing various degrees of Code 31 and Code 43 issues.  These are being actively investigated, and we are working with 3rd party vendors to resolve them.  The latest we are aware of is that AMD* drivers are force-unloading our drivers, resulting in various issues such as loss of multiple-displays, brightness controls, etc.
  • Users with only Intel graphics are experiencing various degrees of Code 31 and Code 43 issues.  These are being actively investigated, and we are working with Microsoft* to resolve them.
  • Users are having Display Audio failures either over an AV/R, or via a straight through connection to their audio enabled display.  For starters, you need to uninstall the 3316 or later driver from your system, and install the one we provide via the Intel Download Center links posted above.  When you receive a graphics driver automatically via Windows* Update, it does not include the Display Audio driver that is supposed to be packaged with it.  This can result in unstable audio errors.

if I have missed any, it is not because we are not aware of them!  However, please feel free to remind me of them regardless.

If you are having trouble with installing the driver, it can be for various reasons.  Most commonly, it is because your system currently has a driver that was installed by your OEM, and those drivers present various error messages to the effect of "this driver is not suitable for your computer because your OEM said so!".  If that is the case, you should follow the Manual Driver Installation instructions to install your driver (this is prefaced by downloading the .ZIP version of the driver from the links above).

I ask that you preface the feedback with aboldedheading so that it will be easier to identify, example: Control Panel: It would be cool if X was added.  BUG: This application is now crashing and it didn't with the last driver!

I also ask that you keep focused on this specific driver.  Any off-topic/off-driver/off-product comments will be promptly deleted!  If you have any issues with installing the driver, or are unable to get to the driver download pages linked above, please submit those comments in an original thread. Also, please do not message me directly about issues with the driver, keep them in this thread - I will check it daily.

Thank you for your feedback and contributions!

I have an Asus K55A with an Intel core i5 processor.

I installed windows 8.1 today and now my graphics adapter's driver is crashed. I cannot view multiple monitors or adjust my screen resolution settings as it is defaulting to the default microsoft driver.

I have updated to Driver Version:

10.18.10.3316

I still get this notice in the device manager:

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

Object Name not found.

Can anyone advise, as I MUST have multiple monitors for work.

Gaming with Intel 4600, 3 monitors Collage mode ???

I am trying to get 2d surround in games like Nvidia has. I have a MSI GE70 2OE that has integrated Intel 4600 and Nvidia GTX 765m. The surround settings are not available in Nvidia control panel because all display ports run through the Intel chip. I have got one game to work well with the collage mode (battlefield 3) but, the hud is spaced out to the left and right screen (map is in far left corner, ammo in far right corner) instead of being on center display like Nvidia 2d surround. Also, other games that support multiple display gaming like Assassins Creed Black Flag and Crysis 3 show duplicated images on all 3 screens. Also in battlefield, I had to force the resolution. If I try to change any graphic settings in game, the game reverts to a barbaric 320x200 resolutions and duplicates on all 3 screens or it crashes. I then have to restart and the surround mode is good again.

I guess my question is, is Intel's collage mode meant for gaming? Battlefield works great so there is potential. Is there any support or profiles for specific games? Any fixes for the HUD issue and how to get other games to work. I saw another user posted a similiar question but he said Crysis 3 fired right up with collage mode and worked flawlessly.

Also, I spoke with Nvidia and they said Nvidia mobile gpu's do not support surround due to display ports being routed through the Intel chip. However, while in collage mode, The nvidia chip is running the displays (on board led status). I  know this to be true because battlefield runs at high fps and if it was the intel chip driving it, FPS would be low (I have highest settings enabled). Also my frames per second onscreen display is black font when Intel and purple when Nvidia. ??

Windows 8.1 Drivers for Intel HD Graphics 4000

Hello,

I just upgraded to Windows 8.1 today and I'm running into some issues. When I run GTA 4 (haven't tested any other games to be frank) - which ran fine before the update - it crashes after a while with a BSOD. The error message being:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (igdkmd64.sys)

This query in Google has led me to the information that the HD Graphics driver is crashing. The next thing I did was install the latest HD Graphics drivers. This has not yet fixed the issue.

What I just noticed while writing this is that Hardware Info 64 does not recognize my Nvidia GPU. This could mean that GTA 4 is running on the HD Graphics GPU? So at this moment I'm reinstalling my Nvidia drivers.

So I reinstalled (clean install) the Nvidia drivers. I ran GTA4 which ran for a little while longer, but still throws a BSOD after a while.

In any case, this should ne be happening, right?

System:

Asus n56vz (notebook)

CPU: Intel Core i7-3615QE (including Intel HD Graphics 4000 (Ivy Bridge GT2))

GPU: GeFore GTX 650M

Chipset: Intel HM76 (Panther Point)

HD 4600 2560x1440 resolution on native 3200x1800 monitor

I have a new Dell XPS 15 with a native 3200x1800 resolution. I'm trying to scale it down to 2560x1440 but windows doesn't give me that option by default. I have to go all the way down to 2048x1152 to keep the same aspect ratio. So I used the custommodeapp.exe to set a custom resolution but I get "The custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity" error using 60hz. I tried 59, 40, 32, and 30 aswell without luck. I read other threads about this but they were for external monitors. This is for my actual laptop screen which should work considering it's under the native resolution. Any ideas?

Hello Graphics Communities!

For a very long time now we've been trying to track down, diagnose, and correct an issue that seems to be happening all across the board with Intel® Graphics.  Users, for various reasons - seem to have issues with OEM systems (and Intel® NUC's) losing their display for different events.

  • Installing new drivers
  • Rebooting
  • Computers idling, going into sleep or hibernation
  • Other random events

We have run into a stumbling block in fixing this issue, and that is that we are unable to reproduce the symptoms above.  We have ordered exact-matching systems, displays and cables - and matched our configurations to those of the users having problems, and we are completely unable to reproduce the problem.  The issue is complex, but in this particular case - it stems from the fact that two users with the same configuration are not guaranteed to have the problem, it varies from user to user, system to system, display to display.

What we at Intel® are asking now though is 2-fold.  If you are one of these users (or a business) experiencing a consistent black-screening issue as mentioned above, we would like to procure your COMPLETE system configuration.  This means, we want you to ship us (at our expense) - the System (desktop or laptop), display (TV, monitor) AND the cable (hdmi, dp, dvi, vga) used by your system when it starts to have a blackscreen failure.  If you are willing to do this, you should be aware that we will keep your system for an extended period, and will compensate you by replacing your setup.

NOW!  Even if you are not willing to send us your system, and would just like to inform us that you have a black-screen issue.  That is okay too. Even if you have already submitted this info in some of our other black-screen threads, feel free to submit it here too.  Please submit the following information into this thread so that we can continue to document all possible instances of it.  Just copy and paste the below list and put in relevant information (completely!).  *NOTE* If you have not already done so, please update your BIOS and Display Driver to the latest version available.  We cannot accept a report of a failing configuration that is not up to date.  Additionally, if you are running your display through a 3rd party device such as a projector or an AV/R (receiver), you need to show that the problem still occurs without the extra device connected (a direct connection from system to display is required).

Are you willing to send your system to us? (Yes/No)
Is your system a laptop or desktop?
If desktop, is it custom built, or manufactured?
If desktop, what is the make/model of your motherboard?
What is the make/model of your system? (COMPLETE model name required)
What is the model of your CPU?
What is the make/model of your failing display(s)?
If laptop, is your built-in display failing? (Yes/No)
What is your operating system?
Is it a 64-bit or 32-bit operating system?
What display driver version do you have installed?
What type of connection are you using? (HDMI, VGA, DP, DVI?)
What happens that results in the blackscreen failure?

Any/all information is valuable.

Thank you for your information & cooperation!

Intel HD Graphics 4000 and The Sims 2

Hi!

I have a problem with the game The Sims 2. When I had Windows 8, the game worked fine, but I updated to Windows 8.1 and I had to update the Intel HD Graphics 4000 drivers too because the game didn't work anymore. And now there's a black rectangle under the sims feet:

http://thumbs2.modthesims2.com/img/6/7/8/3/5/1/3/MTS_00harris00-1390662-Screenshot.jpg

That black rectangle is supposed to be the shadow. If I set it to "medium", the rectangle goes away, but there's no shadow either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I have less dedicated video memory in HD4000 than HD3000, I would like to know why it has been reduced by 4 times in a newer chip.

Acer Aspire 5750:

memory: 8GB

HD3000

Total available Memory: 1760MB

Dedicated Video Memory: 128MB

Shared System Memory: 1632MB

Acer Aspire E1-571:

Memory: 4GB

HD4000

Total available Graphics Memory: 1792MB

Dedicated Video memory:  32MB

Shared System Memory: 1760MB

I am aware that the dedicated memory can not be increased due to BIOS restrictions but I would like to hear an explanation as to why from someone more experienced, Thanks in advance.

Triple monitors not working with Intel HD 4000 on Lat E6430

I have a Latitude E6430 running Windows 7 connected to a Dell E-Port Plus Replicator PR02X. I have a ViewSonic VA2431wm 24" and a Acer V226HQL 22" display connected to the dock using the Dell DisplayPort / Display Port to DVI Video Adapter Cable Converter - 023NVR. The laptop doesn't have the NVIDA card installed only the Intel HD 4000 graphics card.

I have tried various configuration but I cannot get both monitor to stay active once the laptlop is open (and its monitor is active). After I closed the laptop then both monitors are active again. Based off of the information from Intel regarding the Intel HD 4000 graphics card, I should be able to run all 3 displays without error. I have updated my graphics card driver to veriosn 9.18.10.3165.

I have included my dxdiag and screenshot of my Intel HD Graphics Control Panel. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. The below post (same issue) has been very helpful yet the issue was still not resolved.

HOW DISABLE VERTICAL SYNC USING COMMANDLINE OR REGISTRY?

Hi,

I have got Intel HD 3000 Graphics
Is there any easy way for SET DISABLE "V-Sync" using commandline or registry?
A lot of people are trying to turn off vertical sync through the control panel, but you can't because it doesn't have the option.
I'm trying to play Counter-Strike 1.6. I don't understand why this has to be such a big issue. Considering Intel sponsors EG, who is a professional Counter-Strike team. Is there an easier way to disable Vertical Sync through the commandline or registry. Please help me. I want to help get this issue resolved for every single person having this problem. If I figure it out myself I'll definitely let you guys know, I definitely need your help though, because I tried everything.
Thank you!

Hey ho,
Two weeks ago i'v re installed my computer. Before one week i re-installed Battlefield 4 and i startet playing. I noticed a error message that told me that there is not enough memory is available. I'v never had this error before. After 2 weeks of testing and finding the problem i noticed that everytime i run a game at another resolution than my desktop resolution my virtual memory is linea filling up to 100%. After it reaches the 100% mark, the Windows Error message shows up and it wants me to close the game that i'm playing. If i run the game at the same resolution than the desktop resolution or in windowed mod this doesnt happen. If i switch back to the desktop, the virtuel memory is will be cleared again.

What i'v already tried:

  • Re-installed DirectX
  • Repaire Visual Studio 2013
  • Cleaned and re-installed Nvidia and Intel HD drivers
  • Used a old version of Nvidia drivers
  • Used a old version of Intel HD drivers
  • Re-installed Windows 8 Intel chipset drivers and sata
  • Different amounts of virtual memory
  • Moved the virtual memory from sdd to hdd
  • Checkdisc
  • Re-installed the games
  • Checked memory usage and programms
  • De-installed Avira AntiVir
  • Re-installed Windows 8.1

My system

  • Intel i7-3610QM
  • 8,00 GB - 1600MHz
  • 120 GB SSD
  • 1 TB HDD
  • Nvidia Geforce GT650M - 2 G
  • Intel HD 4000 - 256 MB
  • Asus N76VZ Notebook
  • Virtual memory on SSD 8 GB to 16 GB

DisplayPort and Surface 2 Pro Docking Station

$

I've been using mostly HDMI connectivity to monitors lately, but decided to explore DisplayPort capabilities.  Recently I was asked by a colleague to help him connect his Surface 2 Pro with Microsoft's Docking Station which has a single mini-DisplayPort output to two external monitors.  I attended the Microsoft Surface 2 tour where they touted all the full desktop capabilities of the Surface 2 Pro and the ability to connect up to three monitors with the DisplayPort v1.2 capabilities of the docking station.  Of Course, the docking station wasn't shipping at the time so they couldn't demo it.  I purchased an Asus PA279Q hi-res monitor with DisplayPort In/Out capability and connected it to the docking station with a StarTech Mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable.  I daisy-chained from Monitor 1 to Monitor 2, an Asus VN279QL monitor, with a StarTech DP-DP Male cable.  Although the Surface 2 Pro seems to have Intel 4400 graphics, there is no Intel Management and Control panel with the driver.  I was not able to get a display on Monitor 2 using Windows 8.1 display controls, even though Win8.1 detected and added the PA279 as Display 2 and the VN279 as Display 3.  I checked the menu on Monitor 2 and verified the DisplayPort input was selected.  After fooling with it for about 45 minutes, I moved the hardware setup over to an Intel DH87RL desktop which has Intel 4600 graphics.  I connected a DPMM cable to the DisplayPort on the motherboard's DP port and opened the Intel Graphics Management and Control Console.  I added and configured both monitors as Extended desktop and they fired right up.  My guess is that either the Intel driver Microsoft is using on the Surface 2 Pro is unique to the Surface 2, but is lacking.  You can't download and install the 4400 graphics driver from the Intel site.  Is it possible to add just the Control and Management console somehow or do I tell my colleague to wait for Microsoft to fix the issue?

Thanks for the reply but i'm very angry with Samsung. Customer care says me : " Andrea, it's possible YOUR CPU don't have an integrated graphic adapter". I don't know .....why samsung gave me this reply?!?!?!!

I tried to install in legacy mode Intel HD graphics. Windows take all driver but i have error 31...here is a screenshot

Also i tried to ask @ http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/ for a modded bios and enable the voice in the bios!

A question : is it possible my cpu is faulty ONLY in a graphic part? And is it true Samsung says me?

Intel HD Graphics Driver Update Problem

$

Hello everyone,

I tried to update my Intel HD Graphic driver to the 15.28.15.64.3062 version that came out 03/21/2013 and I'm pretty sure I don't have that version.

I downloaded the zip and the exe version but in both case it showed me the same error message:

"this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software"

I checked and I do have all the requirements that are written in the "Installation_Readme" file. I'm only not sure about the third condition which is:

"There should be sufficient hard disk space in the <TEMP> directory on the system in order to install this software" because I don't know where to find

that information but i think I have space because I have about 20 GB free on my C/ disk.

These are my computer information:

Computer : Toshiba Satellite L655 PSK1EE

Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU       M370   @2.40GHz

System type : 64-bit Operating System

Windows Edition : Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

If it's not enough just tell me what to add and how to find the information about it.

Thanks For Your Help!

100% CPU Workload on Core 0 with newest driver

Hello.

I refer to this issue: High CPU usage with latest 3345 Graphic drivers update

I have exactly the same issue when the driver is installed. I was wondering why one Core uses all the time 100%.

So I did a fresh Installation of Windows 7 Professional 64bit and installed every driver by driver and checked again what's the cause of the issue. Result is, that the intel GPU Driver makes the issues.

Here some specs:

Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3

CPU: Intel 4570s

Atm im using the Windows Stock Drivers and do not have this issue.

I hope we can solve this issue together, since it's really annoying when one core runs at 100% 24/7. Don't you think?

Please do no let us stay in the rain as ATI usually does!

yours sincerely
