Hi,

Does the new release 24.30.100.6025 for the UHD 620 graphics display  work on the i7-8550U CPU? IDA says it does but the release notes do not mention that CPU.

Problemi Scheda video Intel

Buongiorno,

Grazie in anticipo, Daniele.

Vulkan driver bug: vkCreateDescriptorSetLayout fails when bindingCount=0 & flags=VK_DESCRIPTOR_SET_LAYOUT_CREATE_PUSH_DESCRIPTOR_BIT_KHR

$

The spec doesn't seem to suggest that creating empty descriptor set layouts is invalid when using push descriptors; it's mostly pointless but should still work.

On Intel Vulkan drivers, this does work when *not* using push descriptors, but when push descriptors are enabled with the VK_DESCRIPTOR_SET_LAYOUT_CREATE_PUSH_DESCRIPTOR_BIT_KHR flag, descriptor set layout creation fails with error -1. FWIW the driver throws VK::Exception object during this call, which I'm guessing is caught and converted to a return code.

This happens with driver 15.60 on Intel HD Graphics 520; Vulkan-reported driver version is 0x10002, DXDiag reported version is 23.20.16.4901 (12/17/2017).

Lenovo Carbon X1 with Intel WDDM 1.x Drivers Display Black after Windows update

I spent a day working on an issue and want to share to save folks time.  Bottom line, Intel Graphics Drivers WDDM 1.0, 1.1., 1.2, 1.3 automatically updated with Windows and broke the system.

BIOS and Lenovo splash screen showed and safe mode worked fine showing this was not a hardware issue.  Windows began to load and the screen went black.  I connected an external monitor via HDMI, pressed power for 2 seconds to put the machine to sleep, pressed power again for 2 seconds and it woke up on the 2nd monitor.

In Device Manager, the 2nd (HP w2007) monitor showed up and there was no mention of the laptop physically connected display.

I reinstalled Windows 10 and all was well until the auto-update occurred and I had the same issue.

I installed Windows 7 and all was well until I installed all updates, same issue.

I didn't think this was a display adapter problem because the 2nd monitor worked just fine and it was the monitor that didn't show in Device Manager.  Alas, my assumption was incorrect.

After HOURS of selecting which Windows 7 updates to install, nearly 180, I finally narrowed it down.  I thought it was a Windows problem, turns out this was an Intel Graphics driver issue.

SOLUTION: I used Revo Uninstaller to remove the Intel Graphics driver program and the system recovers.  Sadly, in both Windows 10 and Windows 7, the auto updates would put the drivers back and the same problem recurred.  I was finally able to put Windows 10 on and both disable auto updates of drivers and "ROLLBACK" the Intel Driver.  This made it so Windows saw it already updated the driver, saw I didn't want it and then wouldn't download again.

Version mix-up - Intel HD Graphics 440 - Driver & Support Assistant

Hello - I have been using the Intel Driver & Support Assistant to keep a Lenovo Yoga's Intel drivers updated for sometime and it has worked well. Windows is showing the following versions of the graphics drivers have been updated since 2016 (notice the driver version is 20.19.15.####).

20180505-IntelGraphics5.JPG

The screenshot above shows that Windows 10 is running Version 20.19.15xxx of the current driver. The screenshot below shows the Yoga is using an Intel HD Graphics 4400 chipset (DXDiag log is also attached).

20180505-IntelGraphics4.JPG

Within the last 2 weeks the Intel Driver & Support Assistant prompted me to update graphics driver (this usually occurs when a new Windows 10 version is released) - a screenshot is below. When I try to upgrade the driver, it fails because the driver version is much lower than the current driver (the Driver & Support Assistant is trying to install this driver Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.40] ) which is listed as version:15.40.38.4963 (2nd screenshot below).

I have attached a DXDiag log. The graphics on the Yoga are lagging since this mix-up started and I want to get the latest driver installed on this Windows 10 system (running 1709 right now). Can you assist in determining why my system running a 20.### driver is being offered a 15.### version? Thanks!

I noticed that even the latest driver form the Intel site(15.40.38.4963) Is not compatible for Windows 10 April update, and my dedicated graphics card is always on now

I hope Intel will release a Windows 10 April update driver for the Intel HD 4600 integrated graphic.

I could use a link to instructions on how to uninstall and reinstall an intel video driver on a Win7 laptop.

The reason is to see if reinstall will stop my video from constantly changing from single monitor to dual monitor (uncommanded).

Thanks

Very low FPS on games with Intel hd graphics 5500

Hello, first of all, sorry for my bad english...

Well, I have a Inspiron i15-5558-BB10, with the following configs:

i3 5005U 2GHz

4GB ram

1TB HD

Intel HD graphics 5500

I like to play some games, so the FPS (frames per second) is a lot relevant to me... The problem is: I have updated my graphic card driver and didn't got a improvement in the quality, playing League of Legends with a 60 FPS dropping to 30 on Very Low configs. I know that has something wrong because once in the past I used a driver from the Intel's site itself and got a huge difference of FPS, playing with 120FPS at better configs easily. The driver was called "FIFA driver" or something like that... Apparently the Intel removed it from the driver download area, I don't know why.

So, someone knows how to fix it? Could it be another driver problem, besides the graphic card? I'm really despered, because I've been trying to fix it downloading all graphics and everything I found on the internet about.

P.s.: I have configured my notebook and the graphic card panel to maximum performance, at battery and energy and etc.

Cherry Trail Graphnics with Windows 10 1803

Since installed Windows 10 April Update (1803) I now have pixelization on the far right edge of my display.  I'm using an Insignia 10.1" tablet, which is on a Cherry Trail chipset.  If I roll back to 1709, I do not have the issue.  This leads me to believe it's driver related.  However, I'm running the latest drivers, not sure where to go from here.

Attached is an SSU report.

How do I make the Intel HD 630 my default graphics card?

My son and I each have Alienware laptops that are close to identical but were purchased a few months apart. They both have a Nvidia 1070 graphics card and an Intel HD 630. My son's computer has the Intel card as its default, and it works fine. Mine defaults to the Nvidia and has some issues. If I disable the Nvidia, it defaults to the Basic Graphics Card, not the Intel. I am unable to locate/open the Intel Graphics Control Panel on my computer.

My question is, how do I make the Intel HD 630 card my default graphics card?

photoshop 2018

I have Dell XPS 13 9360 with Intel HD Graphics 620 (i7-7500U CPU@2.70GHz).  From December 2016 my computer was running great and I have used Photoshop without any problems.  In the last couple of months I cannot run Photoshop 2018 (not even older versions). Indicates a graphic card error.  When I disable the graphic card, Photoshop runs fine.

I have tried various graphics drivers - but all the same.  I have now the latest Dell version: 23.20.16.4973

All hardware scans indicate that the card is in good shape.  Dell support spent hours on my computer and couldn't find anything (not impressed with their skills).

I appreciate any suggestion.

HD graphics 530 pixelation and screen teating within Windows 10 Home (April creators update) Ver. 1803

I had issues before the Windows 10 April creators update.  I had loaded the driver for HD Graphics 530 driver version 24.20.100.6025 with the Windows 10 Home (version 1709).   When the Windows 10 Home April creators update came out, I had to roll back to HD Graphics 530 driver version 15.65.5.4982.  This is because 24.20.100.6025 was causing my screen to freeze for 2-5 seconds.

Now, after the April creators update, several graphical screen have random pixilation (which sometimes goes away after a couple of seconds), but many Microsoft games and Google Earth have both pixilation and screen tearing. This image attached really (a screen capture) really does not show the tearing (just a little in the upper left-hand corner), but when playing a game it occurs all over the screen (like flashes of light streaks, they go on and off).  Even the pixilation will flash and move about.

OS: Windows 10 Home ver: 1709 build:16299.309

Graphics: Intel Iris 6100

Driver version: 20.19.15.4835

Hello - As soon as any video streaming starts, my computer freezes and I need to force a reboot. At first this was only with Firefox (current version) so I switched to Opera and this worked for a month or so. But now Opera also has the same behavior and I am unable to watch any video whatsoever.

Help.

Problems scaling full screen w/ Intel HD Graphics

Capture2.PNGI saw a man who had the same problem as I do now. There were some solutions downstairs, but it does not work for me. I do not have the "Scale full screen" option so I can not solve it. Today, in Counter Strike 1.6 I tried to get up to 100 fps and it was hacked like a steam so I went to the "Custom resolutions" in the intel graphics control panel and I had a question like in the picture and I clicked on No.

When I entered cs 1.6, I had a black space as with other video games (the same was the case with Gta Sa just because I did it by changing the resolution in the game). It happened to me already, but then it disappeared within a few days. Can someone help?

Does the Intel Pentium Silver Processor J5005 support Netflix in 4k / UHD?

I built a PC yesterday with the Asrock J5005-ITX motherboard. It's advertised as having HDMI 2.0 and supporting 4k @ 60hrz. This is true but I can't seem to get 4k for Netflix. I've updated Windows 10 and all of my drivers. Also, I installed HEVC video Extension from Device Manufactures but I still can't get it to works. I'm getting this error message in the netflix app: Error code: U7361-1255-C00D7159. I just wanted to know if this CPU supports 4k / UHD Netflix.
