Forcing GPU 3D/ Video flickering when hovering mouse over it on internet

$

Hello,

I've had this issue appear to me recently, whenever I watch videos on any streaming site online, whenever I hover my mouse over the video, it flickers, this happens only with certain browsers (e.g. chrome/opera), yet works fine with microsoft edge lets say.

So what I've noticed is, when I hover my mouse over the video it says this on task manager "GPU 0 - 3D" - Imgur: The magic of the Internet if I don't hover my mouse over it, it says "GPU 0 - Video Processing" - Imgur: The magic of the Internet

So I've naturally thought of a solution for my own problem, which is to force GPU - 3D, however, the issue is, I don't know how to do it, so, could anyone please help me out with it ?

I'm currently running newest drivers for I7-7700HQ, Windows 10 Pro and using Opera Browser (Tried both hardware acceleration on and off, doesn't help)

HD Graphics 4600 abnormal refresh rate limitation

Hi everybody,

I am doing an experiment in my lab.

It´s a rapid serial visual Presentation protocol which needs a high and efficient refresh rate to present very high velocity stimuli (<10 milliseconds).

My screen is featured by a 144 HZ refresh rate but my experiment software indicates clearly a 60HZ limitation.

I've done the updating of the graphic card and I have a HDMI connectic but the problem persists.

Please could you help me to fix it ? I need to improve my refresh rate imperatively to do the experiment.

Thanks

Brice

I recently decided to reset my laptop and started to install my previous games. I launched a game and realized the game play was a bit choppy so I investigated. I had this problem a long time ago and forgot how I came up with a solution. My processor is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4720HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz but when I search up the drivers for it, it gives me a an exe file that keeps installing the i7-4600 drivers.

Blank application window after Windows 10 update

Hi I've updated Windows 10 64bits with 1803 and all later patches. Immediately I started to have an issue with some applications Boxcryptor, Skype, Gotomeeting. These applications have just white windows. The top of the window with minimise, maximise and close are visible and working. I've updated Graphics driver to the latest and it worked for a while. Then the issue occurred again. When I reinstall driver manually with INF file it works for a while but not with Boxcryptor. Then again it doesn't work for all these applications.

System: DELL XPS 13

Processor: i7-5500U 2.4GHz

System Windows 10 64bits

Updated driver with 15.40.38.4963

Any ideas for help?

External monitor having sporadic flickering

Recently I bought an Asus Vivobook 15 x510ur-bq167t laptop. It has a 7500U 2.7GHz Intel HD 620 i7 processor and a geforce gtx 930mx video card. I have been having problems connecting it with hdmi cable to a secondary monitor. It seems to me that there is a compatibility problem between the laptop and the monitor LG 25" ultrawide model 25UM58-P. The monitor works perfectly connected to other devices, be it another laptop or computer, but when connected by cable with mine or my brother's laptop( also an vivobook x510ur-bq167t bought at the same time) it presents oscillations and sporadic signal losses on the LG monitor. All drivers and BIOS are updated, downloaded directly from the asus website. I already changed all kinds of configuration to try to solve the problem, also changed the cable, but without success. Is there anything that can be done?

Intel HD Graphics 630 BSOD "video_memory_management_internal" after updating to Windows 10 version 1803

I am a Intel 600p SSD user my laptop is ACER VX 15 and this SSD was facing issue with this new update version 1803. Microsoft released the patch KB4100403. After the installation of the patch system is stable but now i am getting a new major problem and its a graphics driver problem. My computer is freezing on the startup of Windows 10. Its just freezes there and other times it give me this BSOD errorvideo_memory_management_internal. My laptop has Intel HD 630 graphics card and Nvidia GTX 1050Ti. Display is connected to Intel HD Graphics 630. I tried updating my driver to latest version but that doesnt work. I tried installing driver given on my manufacturer website and that also doesnt worked. Drivers given on my laptop's support page are out-dated. They have version 21.20.16.4526 on their website but the latest is 24.20.100.6094. But the thing is on both the drivers my laptop is freezing on the startup. So I have uninstalled the graphic drivers and now running Microsoft Basic Display Adapter . Now my laptop is working fine. Is it ok to run this graphic adapter from Microsoft as it is the only way right now for me. I have dump file too. I am attaching it. PLEASE HELP !

EDIT- SEEMS LIKE PROBLEM IS SOLVED :-

So it was my stupidity. I have clean installed Windows 10 version 1803 and all of my drivers were removed. And i was just testing this new build on the drivers that were auto-installed from the windows update and those drivers were incomplete. So i installed the missing drivers from my laptop website and updated those drivers and now everything seems stable. System Device drivers were out-dated so i updated them. Installed the latest Graphics Driver from Intel website and now everything seems stable now, i have restarted my device multiple times, played some games for an hour and things are stable. I am so sorry for any inconvenience caused. If i found any problem in future i will inform then.

Thank You.

EDIT-2:-PROBLEM IS BACK AGAIN, NOW I REALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON. NEED HELP !!!

Everything is now up-to-date but now again my laptop is freezing on startup and sometimes giving same BSOD error. Had to install Basic Graphics Adapter again to make it stable.

EDIT-3:- Problem is solved now. After posting this issue on my laptop's forum i found that others were also facing similar issue and it wasnt because of the Intel Graphics HD 630 but it was due to the latest driver update of Nvidia v397.93 after rolling back the Nvidia Graphics driver to old v397.64 everything is stable now.

HD graphics 530 pixelation and screen teating within Windows 10 Home (April creators update) Ver. 1803

I had issues before the Windows 10 April creators update.  I had loaded the driver for HD Graphics 530 driver version 24.20.100.6025 with the Windows 10 Home (version 1709).   When the Windows 10 Home April creators update came out, I had to roll back to HD Graphics 530 driver version 15.65.5.4982.  This is because 24.20.100.6025 was causing my screen to freeze for 2-5 seconds.

Now, after the April creators update, several graphical screen have random pixilation (which sometimes goes away after a couple of seconds), but many Microsoft games and Google Earth have both pixilation and screen tearing. This image attached really (a screen capture) really does not show the tearing (just a little in the upper left-hand corner), but when playing a game it occurs all over the screen (like flashes of light streaks, they go on and off).  Even the pixilation will flash and move about.

How can I connect to an Apple Thunderbolt Display

$

I have a laptop (a Lenovo Yoga 920) with Thunderbolt ports powered by an Intel Thunderbolt JHL6540 chip, which gets identified as a 15D2 controller.

When I plug in an Apple Thunderbolt Display, I am asked whether to connect to the display, but then nothing happens and the display doesn't turn on.  There must be something missing, but what?  I'm running driver 17.1.64.6, which is current, under Windows 10 Home 1709.

The same display (and Thunderbolt 3-to-2 converter) works with a Dell laptop that contains an older Intel Thunderbolt chip running an older driver, so it is possible to make this work under Windows 10.

I have recently thought what would happen if I disable my Intel 5500 Graphics. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5588 laptop and it has 5500 Graphics (integrated graphics) and Geforce 920M Graphics (dedicated graphics). Will it switch to the 920M if I disable my 5500 Graphics? (For your information I DON'T have a Nvidia graphics control panel). Another question is "Is there a way to switch from Intel 5500 to 920M?

Intel HD Graphics 4600 flickering and black screens on games and videos.

Greetings,

After the Win 1709 update mi pc is not able to perform how it used to in terms of graphics. In games that previously ran without problems, now there´s flickering with split seconds of black screens and even videos are not being displayed with ease. I supose that there is a problem with the driver after the update, because previously, everything worked great, all the games I played worked flawlessly. My specs are:

Biostar h81mhv3

8gs of RAM

i5-4460

Windows 10Pro

Intel HD Graphics 4600.

I tried reinstalling the driver, looking for new ones, mess with the graphics settings. Can´t find a solution.

I hope that you are able to help me out and not to have to buy a gpu.

Cheers.

I deleted igfxem.exe from my system - I think that's my issue. How do I re-download/install it?

Hey all,

For some reason my monitor (LG UltraWide 34UC79G) wont go past 1920 x 1080 nor 60hz.  I've updated my graphics driver (GeForce 960) and my monitor driver (not sure if that's even needed).

The only thing I can think of, from researching this, is that I deleted the igfxem.exe file from my processes because I didn't know what it was (I know, was a mistake) and now I get an error whenever I restart my computer that it couldn't find the igfxem.exe file.

From my research this seems to be a file directly connected to the graphics for my computer.  Now, my monitor was just fine earlier this morning and went to 2980x1080 at 144hz, but as soon as I unplugged everything and turned my computer back on, nothing seems to fix it and let me get my higher resolution back.  Super frustrating.  Does anyone know how to fix this or if even fixing the igfxem.exe will fix it?

Thanks!  I've attached the dxdiag to this message.
