Displays not detected until after Intel Control Panel "Detect"

$

Hey everyone: New to this space.  I joined because I am switching to a new PC and bringing two Viewsonic VX2355WM monitors with me and they are not working correctly.  When I boot the computer, they show "No signal detected" right away and soft-power off.  I have the 630 chipset.  The Viewsonics are attached using 1 DVI to Displayport adapter and 1 DVI to HDMI cable.  Neither works in any configuration with either or both plugged/unplugged, etc.

I thought I found the solution: I unattached one of them and attached a working monitor so I can see the Windows desktop.  Then I opened Intel Graphics Control Panel: Display/Mutiple Displays (where only 1 monitor shows; the temporary one) and click Detect.  After a brief pause it finds the remaining Viewsonic still attached and that monitor gets a signal, displays a screen, and shows up as an additional display.  I can then unattach the temporary monitor and reattach the other Viewsonic.  Using Intel Graphis Control Panel again on the working Viewsonic, I am able to Detect and have the 2nd Viewsonic appear... viola, both Viewsonics are working with no issues.

The problem is everytime I reboot the computer, they go back to the exact same symptoms, and I have to use the temp monitor again to redetect one at a time.  Notable that neither Viewsonic monitor is ever working during POST or Windows loading.  Only after I click "Detect".

I have tried updating the driver for the monitor in Device Manager (which then finds the correct VX2355WM drivers instead of the basic windows compatible Plug and Play monitor), and I have updated the Intel driver to version 24.20.100.6194.  Neither has worked to allow the monitors to persist after reboot.

Given that the monitors were working fine on the old system, and work fine after the above steps, and that other monitors that I've plugged in work with no issues, it seems like this is a simple driver issue.  I would appreciate any assistance and am happy to test solutions.

No HDR on Intel UHD 620 with Kaby Lake

Hello, I have an Asus Desktop PC and I'm connecting via the DisplayPort using a DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 cable to my Samsung 2018 Q7 QLED TV which supports 4K HDR.

I can get 3840x2160 @ 50Hz output to the TV without issues but I can't enable HDR. I've tried to update all the drivers and have read the forums and tried everything but can't get an option to enable HDR. Under the dxdiag it says "HDR Support: Not Supported".

I've attached a full dxdiag report to this and would appreciate any help from anyone to get this working.

Thank you.

graphics on Elitedesk 800 G3

I have a small form factor HP Elitedesk 800 G3, with on-board Intel HD graphics 630, running Windows 10. I bought the machine new in Feb this year and it was running fine until about 10 days ago, when the graphics display went haywire. Specifically, it displays jpg and bmp files in a distorted manner, with a reduced colour set,  colour shifting and scan lines on some images. This is consistent viewing photos of my own, stock Windows desktop images, and jpg images displayed on remote sites using MS edge. The rest of the display looks perfectly normal, including desktop icons, Windows 'tiles', Settings pages, etc. I am using ver 23.20.16.4849 of the graphics driver.

I'm not sure this is relevant, but for completeness, I should mention that after this problem arose, I ran HP diagnostics on the machine and found the system SSD had a fault. The SSD was RMA'd by HP, and I have run the HP restore process to reinstall Windows. But the problem returned immediately. Updating the driver made no difference.

Hi All,

I've started to play 3D bluray movies with Powerdvd18. Unfortunately the screen was vibrant  and completly collapsed in 3D mode.

Configuration: i7-8700 3.2 GHz, Windows 10 64bit 16GB RAM Latest driver installed: 24.20.100.6136

With my previous processor i5 Iris GPU this function is worked perfectly in the same software environment.

I'have tried many changes in the UHD Graphics Panel, for example the "Applications with cutomized 3D settings", but unfortunately did not work.

Do anybody have any suggestions for solving this problem?

Thanks in advance

Norbert

My Asus UX305UA i7-6500u started to randomly reboot while running Windows 10. After much frustration and failed troubleshooting, I downgraded to windows 7 and found that without the Display Drivers installed, the device did not reboot at all. After installing the Display drivers, the device started to reboot again.

The drivers were downloaded from the ASUS website and the details are as follows: VGA_Intel_Skylake_Win10_64_VER2019154300. The drivers were updated on Windows 10 however it did not make a difference.

The drivers that are possibly causing the rebooting are: 1) Intel Corporation (Display) 08/24/2015 10.19.15.4279

                                                                                         2) Intel(R) Corporation (MEDIA) 08/03/2015 6.16.00.3180

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Guys!

I want to ask your help, I just bought a new SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon™ RX 560 4GD5 (11267-18) gpu, and when im build it into my pc, and start it, nothing happens, blackscreen and no sound, etc.

My previous gpu was a HD 5750 1GB with the same 6pin connection and power consuption (75W). I have a 500W psu and for both gpu the recommended is 400W. My motherboard is a Intel® Desktop Board DH77EB and my cpu is a i5 3470 with 2x4gb 1600mhz ram.

My monitor have only a VGA connection so i bought a HDMI -> VGA passive adapter which works well with my previous HD 5750 gpu. I updated the gpu drivers already and its not solved the problem. I have windows 10.

I've tested the new gpu in another pc and it works with the hdmi->vga adapter, so dont need an aktiv adapter.

What could be the problem?

Thanks for your help!

Cannot Adjust Brightness or Use HDMI After Windows Update

$

After Windows did some update, I can no longer adjust screen brightness nor use HDMI output. Everything else seems to be working, I can play games and do other stuff -- with max brightness.

Attached is the report from Intel® System Support Utility.

I have a ASUS GL553VD laptop with Intel HD 630 and NVIDIA GTX 1050. The NVIDIA card is working fine.

It was running driver Intel HD 630: v21.20.16.4550 (2016-11-11) when the problem occurred. I ran the utility Display Driver Uninstaller to remove both Intel and NVIDIA drivers and reinstall fresh, and it didn't help. Also it gave the error "Can't find the name of Intel ICD OpenGL Driver" when opening Geoforce Experience.

I manually installed the latest Intel driver 24.20.100.6136 to see whether it would help. The error message while opening Geoforce Experience is gone but brightness control and HDMI output still don't work.

I contacted ASUS and the only thing they said was to reinstall windows from scratch (3+ days of work) or send the machine to a support center.

It's definitely an issue between Intel and Microsoft. How can I fix this?

How can I connect to an Apple Thunderbolt Display

$

I have a laptop (a Lenovo Yoga 920) with Thunderbolt ports powered by an Intel Thunderbolt JHL6540 chip, which gets identified as a 15D2 controller.

When I plug in an Apple Thunderbolt Display, I am asked whether to connect to the display, but then nothing happens and the display doesn't turn on.  There must be something missing, but what?  I'm running driver 17.1.64.6, which is current, under Windows 10 Home 1709.

The same display (and Thunderbolt 3-to-2 converter) works with a Dell laptop that contains an older Intel Thunderbolt chip running an older driver, so it is possible to make this work under Windows 10.

(Intel UHD 630) 8 GB Dedicated Video RAM went down to only 1 GB

I built this computer last week, and for like 2 days, everything was fine, and then i went into one of my games, Rainbow Six Siege, when I had read it only had 128 MB free of video memory, which a day before I played it, I had done GTA V, which had told me I had 8 GB free of memory, now it shows me the same problem, I dont have much space at all. i used a fix dedicated memory program which i found on youtube, and it brought it back up to 1500 mb or something. I'm really confused. Any solutions? I've already tried resetting my computer 2 times, and i already tried setting my BIOS settings to default (Gigabyte Z370p D3)

Hello,

I have a recent Dell Inspiro 14 3473. Whenever I try to run Microsoft Office, the computer crashes and gives me BSOD with message Video TDR Failure.

I have updated all drives on the system as well as updated the BIOS.

I ran a full system check and the only issue found was the Intel UHD graphics 600. The test failure is linked to the Primary Surface Test, with the error code WVC07-L5N.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks.

Cyberlink Power dvd asks for intel sgx drivers

As technology evolves we face new interesting issues

I am a consumer end user desperately trying to find a way to PLAY 4K UHD HDR 10 BIT MOVIES

I have high end software that   I am trying to play 4k uhd hdr movies from a Microsoft windows  10 pro ver 1803

Microsoft tech support has stated that 4k uhd hdr is not a feature of windows but a technical issue between the desktop pc GPU and the

Display device.. COREL makes a end user app called POWER DVD ULTRA 18 this app will play 4k uhd on the windows 10 pro platform

But the app power dvd cannot play 4k uhd without INTEL SGX.

I understand that people need to protect movies with HDCP 2.2 between the end user play device and the end user desktop GPU and the display device

How may I buy find download INTEL SGX that is required to play 4k uhd hdr movies from my desktop pc.

How may I ask find buy download or beg to have INTEL SGX Software so an end user can play 4k uhd movies on my windows desktop pc..

No Intel HD Graphics 620 Driver for Windows 8.1?

I recently bought a laptop with the new Kaby Lake processor (i7-7500U) and after a brief looking into Intel's website I found out that there is no graphics driver for Intel HD Graphics 620 for Windows 8.1, only for Windows 10. Are we going to see any drivers in the future (7500U has just been released so no drivers for its graphic unit is acceptable) or Intel is not going to release for Windows 8.1?

Dual Graphics cards problem

$

Since Adobe couldn't help me, I thought I'd see if somebody here could.

I'm working in Photoshop CC, and apparently, that program has trouble with dual graphics cards. My Asus Zenbook 13 (i7, Win 10, 16GB RAM, Intel UHD 620 & Nvidia Geforce 150MX) is completely new. When I run photoshop, the screen flickers as soon as I touch my workspace. I've configured it to use the high-end card, and performance-wise, it does, but that screen flickering is still present. Adobe's FAQ presents no viable solution. Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues

Unfortunately, disabling the internal graphics card is obviously not an option.

Any ideas are appreciated.
