Intel UHD 620 mobile cannot output a single useful resolution over HDMI

$

My only options are:

3840x2160  30Hz 24bit color

1920x1080 30Hz 24bit color

1920x1080 60Hz 8bit color  <- seriously?

1366x768 60Hz 24bit color

So what is that? I could understand that there's no 4k 60Hz over HDMI in my >$1000 brand new Laptop with i5-8250u. But no HD at 60Hz and full colors? This can't be right, what year is it? 1995?

Please someone shed light on what "UHD" is supposed to mean or how to get an output that my other 10 years old laptop can do easily.

Thanks,

Mark.

Surface Pro with HD520 will not display on Samsung SmartTV

We have a Surface Pro with attached docking station having two mini-HDMI ports. Operating system is Windows 10 64-bit. I can connect a mini-HDMI to HDMI connector between the docking station and a fairly large computer screen and have it extend or duplicate the Surface Pro display. Surface Pro is at 3000 x 2000 with 200% text. We connect another cable from the docking station to the Samsung SmartTV (6-series) HDMI2 interface, and Windows recognizes that it is there but will display nothing. That is, it shows a small second monitor but will not save a setting to extend or duplicate to it.

I updated the Intel driver from 22.something to 24.20.something & rebooted, but to no avail. I went into the Intel graphics control panel, and it also recognizes the Samsung and seems to allow Clone or Extend, but when I try to save that, it does not display on the Samsung and will not save it in a profile.

hello,

I am trying to connect 2 (and possibly 3) monitors by MST with little success.

my configuration is:

HP 800 G1 with intel HD 4600 running windows 7 pro

trying to connect two HP Z24s monitors.

driver version for HD4600 is 10.18.14.4889

monitor shows "Generic pnp" with driver version 6.1.7600.16385

both monitors have DP and mDP, and when choosing "input mode" I can choose DP1.1 or DP1.2.

I cannot find a "MST enable" feature.

My machine is connected DP to DP on 1st monitor which is set to DP1.2.

1st monitor is connected mDP to DP on 2nd monitor which is set to DP1.1.

my system does not recognize a second monitor.

am I missing anything?

thanks.

Razer Blade 2016 Intel HD 530 black screen problem

I have a razer blade 14 2016 with nvidia 1060gtx and Intel HD 530 Integrated.

i was using my laptop plugged via hdmi in my 4k tv with intel hd 530 disabled from control panel in Windows 10 1803 to improve peformance and remove lag while browsing the web and watching videos at 4k 60 hz at the TV. So I removed the laptop from tv and when I went to control panel to enable intel hd 530 the notebook freezed and went blackscreen.

I tried reinstall the intel drivers latest version, it continues to freeze with a blackscreen where nothing shows and I can move the mouse cursor.

So i tried making a  windows 10 clean install  but if I try to install the intel GPU driver then my screen turns black, and the only way to use my computer again is to uninstall the intel GPU from Safe Mode. The problem is using the notebook with intel gpu disabled i cannot adjust notebook screen bright and the screen is too lag and slow response to the commands.

The same problem happens if I don't block Windows update, as it is trying to update the drivers of intel GPU.

The other GPU, a NVIDIA 1060gtx, is working without problem if a plug the notebook via HDMI to the TV

I tried a lot of solutions but nothing fixes the problem (reinstalling everything in different orders, formatting SSD, clean install windows 10), but nothing change the problem.

Is my integrated intel GPU dead or defective? Is this a software or hardware problem?

Intel HD630 New HDR driver problem on primary monitor

Hi

On trying the new HDR driver version 15.60.0.48.49 my primary monitor, being the first one in the Display Port chain (I have two of the same Dell monitors daisy changed by Display Port), seems to have reduced colour depth, which gives very bad posterisation over images and especially anything like skies or graduations.  This affects anything shown on the display, for example the Windows wall paper, photos, images in web browsers.  If I drag the image over to the secondary display, it's all okay, or if I leave straddling both displays, the half on the secondary monitor displays normal, and the primary monitor is bad.

This is on Windows 10 and all the display options are 32 bit by default.

If I revert to driver version 15.47.02.4815 it's all fine again, as it has been on previous graphics drivers.

So this newer driver has definitely a bug somewhere.

Phil

Hello,

I have the flickering screen in Windows 10 and I already updated the graphic controller to the newest version but this didn't help, the problem stops when I uninstall the Intel controller and the laptop continue using the basic Windows graphic controller.

My laptop and controller information is in the attached file in text format, please check it and let me know, because I tried reinstalling Windows 10 but now the problem is worst.

Thank you in advance.

UHD Graphics 620 Driver Update Issues

I have an issue with the UHD 620 graphics card.  At first the card/drivers when I tried to connect to a secondary display.  I had to disable and then reinable it.  All of my video playback has been horrible on this machine (Lenovo Yoga 920).  I'm SURE it is a driver issue.  I tried to download all the drivers from the Intel site for the UHD 620 graphics card.  Windows each time would override the installation saying:  "You have the most up-to-date drivers for your graphics card" and cancel out of the installation.  I so regret buying this machine with this poorly designed graphics card.  Is there anyway around pushing the latest driver installation through to bypass the Windows 10 message?????  Attached is my machine diagnostics report.

Monitor will not stay in standby.

I have an ASUS Prime Z370A motherboard with an Intel 8400 processor (Intel UHD Graphics 630, driver 24.20.100.6194) and an LG 34UC97 monitor on a data port.

When the monitor goes to standby (after 20 minutes in my case) a message comes on saying "no video monitor will shut down shortly".  The message then disappears and the monitor shuts down but quickly reawakens in 5 seconds & displays the same message again.

This will repeat until the computer actually goes to sleep (after 1 hour). This began after driver win64_15.65.5.4982.  If I reinstall this driver it works fine.

Intel HD Graphics Driver crashing and recovering until blue screen

$

I own a Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBD with an i3-5020u and HD Graphics 5500 running Windows 7(64). With no graphics drivers installed, it works with no unexpected issues.

I decided to install the Graphics Drivers that my OEM recommends, version 10.18.15.4248 of "Intel Graphics Driver" and downloaded it from this product page: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/100-series/100-15ibd/80qq/80qq002dus/pf0mc45y/downloads

After a restart, artifacts began to appear on screen, windows extended out towards the bottom of the screen, pixels randomly colored, and generally violent images were made out of a plain Windows 7 desktop. After a few seconds, I can no longer move my mouse and the computer appears frozen, the screen turns black, then I see my desktop again (still with artifacts) along with a notification on the bottom right that says "Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered" and the screen turns black and the cycle repeats a few times until I get a blue screen that indicates that "igdkmd64.sys" is related to the blue screen.

So, I rebooted into safe mode, and just as before I installed the drivers, there are no artifacts and everything works normally. I uninstalled the Drivers, and downloaded the generic drivers which Intel recommends for my device, version 15.40.38.4963 of "Intel Graphics Driver" from this product page: Downloads for Intel® Core™ i3-5020U Processor (3M Cache, 2.20 GHz)  My experience was identical.

I'm happy to provide any additional information that might help me solve this problem.

If it's of any note, before all of this the computer had Windows 10 installed and had similar artifacts but the driver did not crash and there were no black or blue screens.

Battle for Middle Earth (BFME 1) low details on ultrahigh settings (integrated card issue)

Hello everyone,

I have an HP Spectre laptop -- i7, 8GB ram, intel hd 620 integrated graphics card.

I am trying to play BFME1 on my laptop, with windows 10. I am able to run the game, that's not the problem. The problem is the graphics. Water and trees are not rendered correctly; they have low detail and are not correctly animated, even on UltraHigh settings. I've been tackling this problem for a month now and I'm 99% sure this is an intel integrated graphics card issue. The reason I'm so sure about this is that I tested the game on 3 different laptops with (different) intel integrated cards and the problem persisted. As soon as I installed the game on a friend's desktop (same installer) the issue is gone. Here's the comparison:

https://imgur.com/senf1Ba

VS

https://imgur.com/RNW44fE

There's more people complaining about the same. The common denominator -- they all have laptops with intel integrated graphics cards. Examples:

https://www.gamereplays.org/community/index.php?showtopic=942979&st=0&gopid=10144070&#entry10144070

https://forums.revora.net/topic/111135-bfme-1-graphics-bug/

You can find more details inside my reddit post.

I've trying everything to solve this issue in my HP laptop, including: running in compatibility mode, reinstalling the game, reinstalling graphics drivers, downgrading the graphic driver to the oldest I could find, experimenting with the options.ini file (including running it with read-only option ticked), meddling with the INI.big file in the game's directory which contains old graphical presets that could be overriding my ultra-high options, etc. etc.

I know older games are susceptible to this kind of thing. Sometimes, the games won't even launch, and when they do, there's usually graphical glitches all over. It's becoming more and more difficult to play DirectX9 games on modern machines (e.g. AMD's recent adrenaline drivers totally lack dx9 support). I suspect intel cards also lack decent support for directx9.

My only hope is that intel will patch this for future versions of their drivers. Unfortunately, EA games no longer supports BFME (it lost its LotR license rights back in 2010).

Meanwhile, if you guys have any more ideas, I'm all ears.

Thank you for reading.

Intel HD Graphics 620 Citrix issue

Hello everyone, I am new to the community here and wanted help for a Citrix issue with an Intel HD 620 Graphics Card used with dual screen.

I bought a few weeks ago a HP ProBook 650 G3 and wanted to connect it to a separate screen for use as an extended desktop.

Configuration was not a problem and the whole thing works fine.

BUT: When I open a Citrix session, I am unable to swip a Programm from the Laptop screen to the other one, even though the Desktop is correctly extended on both screens. I only see the mouse moving to the other screen, the windows I want to move is just like disappearing behind the desktop.

I tried with two different Citrix Receiver versions (4.8 and 4.9) and also updated the driver (version 24.20.100.6025) to the newest (vers. 24.20.100.6194), without success.

Does anybody already have encountered the same problem?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Resolution issue

Hello, Team,

I asked for your help before with the same issue but nothing helped me.

I found out that when I launch games on my PC I receive a notification from the system that the resolution was changed to 800x1280 while everywhere in all the res settings it is set to 1280x800.

I do not understand why the system changes the resolution automatically to an absolutely wierd one.

This issue occurs on all the possible driver versions.

Please tell me what information do you need for diagnostics.

Asus Laptop / Integrated Intel GPU problem

$

Hello,

I am using an Asus laptop (N551VW) that was working very well until recently.

It happened to crash seriously. The Windows recovery Tools didn't work, so I reinstalled Windows 10 from scratch.

I have one massive problem and can't find the solution. Everything works normally except the integrated GPU, Intel HD Graphics 530.

Indeed I can install every driver normally, but if I try to install the intel GPU's then my screen turns black, and the only way to use my computer again is to uninstall the intel GPU from Safe Mode.

The same problem happens if I don't block Windows update, as it is trying to update the drivers of intel GPU.

The other GPU, a NVIDIA 960m, is working without problem, with latest drivers intalled.

I tried a lot of things (reinstalling everything in different orders, formatting entirely my SSD,...), but nothing change the problem.

I am wondering if it means that my integrated intel GPU is dead or not.

Using GPU-Z, the intel GPU appears as Default Microsoft GPU (name is Skylake GT2, but no information in Bus Interface).

I could use my computer normally without the intel card, but that brings two problems :

1- I can't update Windows, otherwise it's upgrading the drivers and therefore crashes.

2- I can't control the screen of my laptop anymore, so I can't adjust the brightness or filter blue light.

After trying a new Intel driver that I installed in safe mode, I have a new type of error.

When my computer starts, it gets to a black screen, then off, then black screen, and so on, like searching for the monitor. Then gets to a blue screen error :

VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE

with the failed element : igdkmd64.sys

Does anyone has an idea, or a solution?

Is the GPU dead? Is it a conflict between the two GPUs ?

Thank you for your help and insights.

FPS down in 2 week.....................HELP PLS

Hello guys. I have an gaming configuration by three years maded to run games at fullHD at 60fps, but about 10 days ago that games that previously run on 60fps or even more now are fixed more or less on 22/24, thinking they were the drivers I tried to uninstall with ddu and reinstall from the beginning but nothing. I formatted the operating system thinking it was corrupt and uninstalled antivirus thinking bottleneck but nothing... I know what to do tests further and I do not know how to test a possible hardware problem of the gpu or cpu / ram ...

Configuration:

Intel I7 6600k CPU

Mobo MSI M5 Z170A

GTX970 CPU

8GB RAM Corsair LPX

SSD 250GB

HDD 1T

I test everything

This is an test with hwinfo opened in the backgruond and 3DBenchmark running.

post you the info and the images:

- HWinfo screenshots:

Problem is shown_zpsvl5spt2j.png

s2.png

s3.png

s5.png

s6.png

as you can see the problem is the CPU that is the bottleneck but

I not understand why?! this configuration was designed with this CPU and that has never given problems (sofps ultra setting).

I also tried to remove the CMOS battery from the mobo for a possible reset of the BIOD, but nothing.

I post an image of test in gameplay

20180804_103920.jpg

there are no hopes.

if the CPU is irrecoverable, I change its and stop. I think it is useless to continue to do other tests ....

what do you think?

Hi, i have banding on intel 630 on my laptop screen. Display should be decent enough to show banding test without banding, I am using old version of driver because when i use usb-c to hdmi converter i get washed out colors on my external monitor, but old driver doesn't suffer from this. I suspect the problem is that driver doesn't allow to set quantization range or something else.

Intel HD 630 4K Monitor Resolution Downgraded to 1280x720 When Windows 10 Loads

$

Good afternoon,

I recently purchased a 4K 3840x2160 monitor (Monoprice 27772). As the computer boots up and the BIOS screen is displayed, the resolution shows 3840x2160. However, once Windows 10 fully loads, then the resolution downgrades to 1280x720. I'm unable to change the resolution via the display settings or graphics settings. I've attempted to update and install older versions of the graphics drivers within Device Manager without any noticeable difference. The device manager also shows the monitor as Generic PnP Monitor.

The monitor is connected via HDMI.

Attached is the dxdiag and the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel information.
