Your website is bad and you should feel bad - hyperlink/driver issues

Wow...just spent the last hour trying to address this issue with no progress. VERY frustrated right now...I am a tech savvy engineer at a well known Content Delivery Network, so this is not a case of user-error.

NOTE: There is an image outlining the errors I've encountered which is at the bottom of this post. It may help to understand my explanation.

I wanted to update my video driver, simple enough, one would think. I used your 'Intel Driver Update Utility', which first had me install a bunch of things that are NOT signed by Intel (I can see at the bottom of the page that it is 'powered' by 'System Requirements Lab', which is the domain that most of these files were downloaded from), which made me wary. After accepting and installing all of these things from a third party, the tool told me my driver version, and that there is an updated version available. I clicked the provided link to try to download it, but was sent to a page which informed me that the file had been moved, renamed, or archived. Not very helpful.

I then used the link provided to go to the download center and search for the driver manually (I can see from the URL of the broken link that the driver file name is 'win64_153352.exe'), which allowed me to find this driver available for download in both .exe and .zip formats. I tried downloading both the .exe and .zip files, but both end in the same result: an error indicating that this is not the correct driver. This puzzles and infuriates me, since it was YOUR diagnostic tool that told me this was the correct driver.

Further attempts to find support resolve in dead ends - there is no phone support, the live chat says no one is available (at 1:00pm PDT on a Wednesday), and the email form wants a truly ridiculous amount of information, so I thought I would try to the forums.

I'm pretty stunned, since Intel is an otherwise reputable company, but your website and driver download support is TERRIBLE. Whoever is in charge of this aspect of your business should be fired and replaced immediately, as they are evidently collecting a paycheck to do nothing. Can't really use my $800 computer at this point because I need a driver update to accomplish my intended tasks, is Intel going to send me a new computer?

Please reply to this post, I fully intend to post this to as many tech sites as I can think of and blast you as hard as possible all over the internet if I am ignored.

I think I solve the problem that Intel HD graphics can't output HDMI or DVI signal

My new computer

CPU i5 2500 k

MB Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3

Monitor ASUS MS246H

OS Windows 7 x64

Days before, I also have the same problem that so many guys have.
I can't get the output from 2500K via the HDMI port and DVI port after install the driver,
It's fine while using the DVI or HDMI port. But when I install the driver and reboot, there is no display after the screen "Windows Starting".I go into the safe mode uninstall the driver to using the system driver, everything just go fine after reboot. And when I using the VGA port from the MB,there is no problem after install driver.I try many kinds of drivers, the HDMI and DVI port also have no display.

Now I solve the problem using the method as below:
1.prepare a vga-vga line, and connect it from MB vga port to monitor vga port
2.connect a hdmi or dvi line from mb to monitor
3.select the monitor output mode to VGA
4.power on the PC and login the system (Now it's using the vga,so there is no problem)
5.install or reinstall the driver and DO NOT restart after the job is over.
6.press WIN+P and select the duplicate mode (the second one) and press enter to confirm.
7.right click on your desktop and select "screen resolution" ,that you will see your monitor is seperated into two parts (1|2)
8.then change your monitor output mode to HDMI or DVI,Is it working now?
9.remove the vga line, and the output form hdmi or dvi is good

10.reboot the PC and everything is OK

Hope this method is useful to you, thanks.

Intel HD Graphics 4600 - How to downgrade drivers?

Hey, everybody. I've been having a problem over the last two days. I want to install this Intel® Download Center driver as the latest drivers have been causing issues with Minecraft. However, when  I run the exe it says Your computer does not meet the requirements to install this software. Which is strange, because I have had the latest driver before. I am searching everywhere on how to install the driver but to no avail.

Intel HD 4000 HDMI 2560x1440 resolution???

Hi,
I recently bought ASUS Zenbook Prime UX31A with "Intel GMA HD 4000 ".

Is it possible to get a resolution of 2560x1400 on my external DELL monitor? (Monitor supports the resolution)

I tried in the Intel Graphicoptions to add a manual resolution, but I get an error

"The user defined resolution excesses the maximum bandwith capacity"  (translated from german...)

Maybe u guys have a solution.

Thanks

I'm no computer whiz, I've looked on forums and such and there seams to be no real solution to this problem, I have a 2000 dollar laptop, with I.7 and the monitor im using is via HDMI. From what i've found on various forums is that its some kind of driver issue, or i need an update, when I go to driver update utility, nothing shows up and says I already have what I need.. I'm not even sure If im in the right forum or not because I dont use these ever, but if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know, I have a 24 inch monitor waiting to be used!

Display driver stopped responding and has "successfully" recovered

My Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 keeps having problems, if I do anything that puts strain on it (ie gaming or even a screensaver) it stops working, my screen goes black for a few seconds, and I have these pixel-like dots around my screen as well as displaying Display driver stopped responding and has "successfully" recovered, I realized my NIVIDA GeForce GT 640M was not set as the global driver for my games, I set it as such and had no problems for awhile, recently though a game slipped past these settings (for reasons unknown) and the problems started up again. It does not matter if I restart as long as I have the Intel driver activated I have these problems, if I disable it however these problems stop. I have tried updating all my drivers and my .NET Framework and it does not help. It usually last from anywhere to the one time to a week, I can not tell why it stops other then leaving my computer off for days but I need a more permanent fix, I am afraid it might be hardware related but I want to exhaust all my options before taking it in to have it opened up.

Intel HD Graphics 4000 and The Sims 2

Hi!

I have a problem with the game The Sims 2. When I had Windows 8, the game worked fine, but I updated to Windows 8.1 and I had to update the Intel HD Graphics 4000 drivers too because the game didn't work anymore. And now there's a black rectangle under the sims feet:

http://thumbs2.modthesims2.com/img/6/7/8/3/5/1/3/MTS_00harris00-1390662-Screenshot.jpg

That black rectangle is supposed to be the shadow. If I set it to "medium", the rectangle goes away, but there's no shadow either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Intel GM965 Dual Adapter Listing.jpg

Is this normal? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I keep getting duplicate display adapters listed. This only happened after I updated the driver, but uninstalling it does not fix it. One Location is PCI bus 0, device 2, function 0 and the other is PCI bus 0, device 2, function 1.

Issue when switching between themes Windows 8.1 Enterprise

Hello,

First I have a Dell Notebook Model Inspiron 15z 5523, I bought it 4 months ago.

I uninstalled the pre-installed Windows 8 due to crashes in Windows and installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise but I faced a strange issue which making me not happy at all.

First things first, after installation finishes and when I get into Windows, no drivers or programs installed.

I just Right-Click on Desktop and select Personalize to switch between themes, and as soon as I switch back to the Main Windows theme, a quick black flicker occurs, at first I thought it is a Windows issue since I still didn't install even the Intel Graphics driver.

Now, right after I install the Graphics driver which is Intel HD Graphics 4000, I downloaded it from the Windows 8.1 section in dell website.

and then after installing it, I face the following issue.

When I click inside any open folder as shown in this recorded video and when I click on Desktop, doing this back and forth and I notice quick flickering inside the open windows.

You will see this at second 0:26 in the video.

watch?v=3-8z8Ef2DcY&feature=youtu.be

It is also obvious in this video, I am doing this with the Intel Graphics Control Panel window.

The issue occurs at the time 0:10 and 0:25

watch?v=ntqNC1gUtHU&feature=youtu.be

However, I installed Windows 8 Single Language and the issue doesn't occur.

But I am happy with Windows 8.1 editions.

I tried installing Windows 8.1 Professional which has this theme as Windows Main theme and the issue occurs with any Windows 8.1 with this orange Windows Main theme.

Image

Image

So, when I switch between Windows theme and Lines and Colors or Flowers themes and then switch back to Windows theme I get this quick screen flicker.

So I assume this is a Windows related issue and bug, am I right? Since I didn't get the issue with Windows 8 Single Language, so that means no problems with my screen or graphics driver or any conflicting in hardware issue.

Damn, I am not happy with this issue.

Can you please tell me if this is the really supported graphics driver for this model supporting Windows 8.1 Enterprise that have this orange Main Windows theme. If not, can you please provide me with the correct driver?

Halo 2 Glitch

Posted this as a status first, ha ha still new at this. Anyway, bought this Satellite C55t-A5222 (great deal for the price) and I'm trying to run Halo 2 PC -which is a fav of mine on Xbox so I bought it on impulse while passing through a store- but I digress. There's a weird graphics glitch where object geometry (underlying triangles) are displayed in flickering patterns on reflective surfaces, in-game and on the loading screen, and everything is oddly whited out and hard to discern at times. I looked it up and was told to update my graphics driver and try running it in compatibility mode for Vista (for which it was originally released) both of which I did. Compatibility mode did nothing, and updating my Intel HD Graphics driver from 10.18.10.3282 to 10.18.10.3345 did nothing. Both "solutions" together accomplished nothing either. Tried a graphics driver uninstall and reinstall, also nothing. Decreased res in-game, altered FPS and tried v-sync on/off. Nothing.

Acer Aspire 5742 - Intel Core i3 380M - TV/Monitor not supported?

I'm trying to connect my laptop to my TV through HDMI however the HDMI is not being recognized. When I go to Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel it says that Monitor/TV Setting are not supported?? Also in general settings and multiple displays there is only one option to select (single/built-in display).

I don't understand why this is...how do I enable the HDMI to connect to the TV?

I'm 100% sure that both the HDMI cable and TV work as I've connected them with another laptop I have and it worked perfectly.

Have been trying all day to fix this, anyone have a solution?

Hi

After upgrading to 64-bit 15.33.22.64.3621 version of Intel HD graphics drivers I have noticed you cannot output to 3 monitors (notebook display, 2 external displays)

Reverting to 15.33.18.64.3496 resolves the issue.

Intel HD 4000 and Empire Earth

Hey,

Today my windows 8 machine forced-updated to 8.1, and along with the update came newer graphic drivers.

The reason why I signed up here is to tell you that your new drivers makes the screen flicker in the game Empire Earth.

As previously posted in:

:8.1 dont like old games graphic issues with many people ?

There is nothing wrong with the game & windows 8.1 itself since I have friends playing it, on windows 8.1 but with different graphics cards.

I know for a fact that it is your driver thats causing the trouble because yesterday the game worked fine with your older 9.17.10.2932 driver (released 12/12/2012) worked just fine.

Please dont tell me to contact the game company for a patch/fix, they ceased to exist in 2005. I just want to be able to play the game without going back to your older drivers.

Let me know how I can be of any help in this.
