Unable to get audio when connected to HDTV via Displayport/HDMI active adapter

$

Hi,

I wanted to watch Netflix on my HDTV via my computer so I used an active Displayport HDMI adapter to connect. This is the adapter I'm using:

https://www.visiontek.com/computer-accessories/cables/visiontek-displayport-to-hdmi-adapter-detail.html

The video is fine but the audio comes from the computer not the TV.

The TV doesn't appear under audio playback devices even when I show disabled or disconnected devices so I can't switch it over.

The TV appears as a Generic PnP monitor in Device Manager.

Spec: Dell Optitplex 780 SFF

          Windows 7

          Intel Q45/43

          GMA 4500

          driver 8.15.10.3202

Just thinking that either the integrated video doesn't send HDMI audio over the Displayport, I need a different video driver, or I am using the wrong adapter.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks a bunch!

Can't Install drivers for Intel HD 4000 graphics.

I had to uninstall my Intel HD 4000 graphics due to an issue where games would not run for some unknown reason related to the graphics update I did. I uninstalled it via the device manager and uninstalled the HD audio as well. I restarted my laptop and it recognizes the graphics card as an unknown video controllerd (VGA compatible) in which whenever i try and update via the device manager it just tells me there is a problem and to contact the manufacturer and aborts the update.

I then downloaded the latest drivers off of the website for my Intel HD 4000 graphics card and whenever I run it, half way through the installation it either says the OS isn't supported, one or more drivers failed to install or that I do not meet the minimum requirements to install this driver. I use a Nvidia 640m GPU also which seems to still be working perfectly, but the Intel HD 4000 graphics card will now not re install and I don't know what to do to fix it.

Thanks.

Nuc Hd5000 losing vsync

Hi

Im running windows 8.1 64 on an intel nuc i5 haswell, using latest drivers (10.18.10.3910)(but had the same problem with previous version).

The only game I need to run is Nascar 2003.

I need vsync enabled to get smooth 3d, problem is, the hd5000 is sometimes "losing" vsync, especially in turns (so, when the scenery is changing a lot, i guess).

There is an FPS counter in the game, and what happens is that the fps goes above 60fps for a fraction of time (say, 1/10s, very short period), can be 65fps, or 100fps etc.

It is not the gpu or cpu beeing overloaded, if I disable vsync, fps is above 140fps for the whole track/race.

I also tried with a fixed cpu speed (forcing maximum performance) with no change.

If I run the same game with the exact same os and settings, except on an nvidia card, ive got no problem at all.

I know it's an old, unsupported game, but its the only one i'm interested in (beside emulators).

Could it be the GPU throttling, and causes those vsync loses at the moment it changes speed ?

Thanks for the help

Links to latest Intel® HD Graphics 4000 broken

Hi,

I used the Intel® Driver Update Utility and it tells me there's a newer driver available. Clicked on the download link and it brings me to another page saying "The file that you are trying to download has either been moved, renamed or archived."

Went to this download center page and I can't find any link to download the latest driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=21310&lang=eng&ProdId=3712

I'm running on my laptop ASUS N56VZ

Win 8.1 64bit

Intel® HD Graphics 4000 (10.18.10.3308 current driver installed)

Nvidia GeForce GT 650M

Also, I just saw the thread about the Black Screen, it has happened to me while playing Starcraft 2. I noticed this happened only after I updated something (which I can't remember if it was the OS or the GFX) a long time ago but didn't really bothered about it until now.

I'd like assistance to help me find the latest driver that they suggested for me, the 15.33.22.64.3621 (10.18.10.3621) for 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® HD Graphics 4000.

Please help.

Thanks & Regards,
Andrew

Dear Team..

I am a curious person..

There was a vague thread with a similar name, with resolution stating its switchable graphics.

Let me elaborate on my problem..

I am using a Dell Inspiron 15 (N5110)

It is working on Intel HD 3000 On board Graphics chipset, as per the manufacturer it does not have any other GPU other than intel.

When i install Windows 8, display remains should i say till a few minute's on the first reboot all i get after the BootUp is Dark BLACK Screen.

It look alive but seem literally Dead..

Annoyed with no options i assumed HDMI also will be blank but to my utter surprise.. There was every bit of display on HDMI.. Just the laptop is dead..

I have referred to the article..

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-031103.htm

I dont have other options, Manufacturer Provided Drivers also dont help...

I need to move to Win 8 due to work requirements..

Kindly need all your help i can get..

Color Calibration Issue with HD 4600 Graphics on Dell Latitude E6540

$

I have a Dell Latitude E6540 for my work computer that is equipped with an Intel Core i7-4610M CPU with integrated HD 4600 graphics.  I have calibrated the display colors using a ColorMunki Display calibrator from Xrite and the screen now looks very good.  It was far into the blue range prior to calibration.

I have set the new color calibration profile to be the default under the Windows Color Management tab of the display's properties and also changed the system defaults under the Color Management Advanced Tab to ensure that the new color calibration is the default calibration for the system and all users.  All seems to be working well, except for one issue that keeps cropping up.  When the laptop resumes from hibernation, the display reverts back to its original, non-color calibrated state.  I then have to go in and manually force it to reload the default color calibration to restore it to its proper state using the new color calibration.

In researching this issue on the Internet, I've come across numerous articles claiming that this loss of color calibration is essentially a known issue when using Intel Integrated graphics and has remained unaddressed since the chips were introduced.  This led me to some experimentation and I have found that if I kill the igfxCUIService.exe process, one of the Intel Graphics-related processes, before the computer goes into hibernation, that when it wakes up it will maintain the new color calibration.

This is one of those really annoying problems as it requires manual intervention on a daily basis and reloading the color calibration is several windows and tabs deep in the system.  I have tried to disable the igfxCUIService.exe service, but it always gets re-enabled by the system after a restart, so either way, I haven't been able to permanently address the problem.

Does anyone know of any other ways or settings to use to correct this issue or get Intel to correct their drivers?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

DP crashes my monitor

When I shut down my PC, or go in standby/hibernation mode, the monitor "crashes". I have to reset it to switch if off or on again. It also happens when i'm in the BIOS and switch the power off by pressing the power button.

I don't know what exactly is the reason. Is it the BIOS, the Mainboard, or the monitor?

If i unplug the DP-Plug, the monitor recognizes that the link is gone and goes to standby mode, as it is supposed to do, so i assume it isn't a problem of the monitor.

As it also happens in the BIOS i can assume it isn't a driver related problem.

It just happens on DisplayPort. DVI works flawless. It looks like the HD 4600 is sending some sort of invalid command to the monitor when shutting down, which causes it to crash.

Any ideas?

CPU is i5-4690K on an ASUS Z97I-PLUS, Monitor is EIZO EV2333.

How to update graphics for laptop (Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro)?

$

I have the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro model and after doing an Intel update scan, there was a graphics update available. I have tried to update my graphics driver from 10.18.10.3304 to 15.33.22.64.3621 (10.18.10.3621).

However Intel updates say that it cannot do this for my Yoga model. It suggests I find an update via Lenovo manufacturer. I have installed all the latest Lenovo updates as of yesterday (23rd August 2014). There was no graphics update available.

Could anyone advise me on this matter and what I can do to update my graphics. I would like to update, so that my laptop will respond to widi enabled devices - which depends on the graphics update (as suggested in an Intel guide video).

HP SPECTRE 13X2 PROBLEM 8/21/2014

This exact verbiage will be posted on the following web sites: Hewlett Packard, Microsoft and Intel.

I purchased this model on Feb. 16, 2014 and to this date with Many attempts through online computer take over with HP tech’s, Microsoft store here in Hawaii and communication with Intel through their web site to address a problem that has been happening since I purchased this, DISPLAY DRIVER HAS STOPPED RESPONDING BUT HAS RECOVERED pop up window keeps appearing after waking unit from sleep by opening the lid.

Problems were Battery #2 in the docking station keyboard died and would not charge, I returned the unit to Microsoft in Honolulu.

I received this Specter13x2 back from Microsoft on 8/11/14 after they and HP had it for 3 weeks.

So Microsoft has the unit for 1.5 weeks and tells me that they have done extensive testing and virus checking and found nothing and had to send it to Ohio for repairs.  Ohio has it for 4 days and sends it to HP in Tenn. To repair the battery.  HP has it for 4 days and  from the Account Manager that I was communicating with for HP, was informed that HP in Tenn. Replaced the battery and did “Extensive data testing and returned it to Microsoft.  Microsoft has it for another 3 days and returns it to Microsoft Honolulu.  They have it for a day updating ALL the drivers and software to the most current.

I receive the unit back and the battery is charging and shows the amount of charge and the pop up  Display Driver Still continues to pop up, screen turns black, then flashes the color of my start screen, then goes to my desktop page, this all taking about 3 to 4 seconds.  Then the pop up window indicates the driver has stopped working.  Then the system operates fine.

I have contacted Intel through their chat and problem solving page, they have sent me links to update my HP Bios and for Intel’s display driver, that when I tried the link and it downloaded, I was prompted that the driver I was told by Intel would work on my system, prompted me that it was Not compatible with my system.

So, does anyone have a solution for this?  Is this a problem with all the SPECTRE 13x2, or just the one’s with windows 8.1, or Intel’s drivers?    I need help PLEASE.

Hey ho,
Two weeks ago i'v re installed my computer. Before one week i re-installed Battlefield 4 and i startet playing. I noticed a error message that told me that there is not enough memory is available. I'v never had this error before. After 2 weeks of testing and finding the problem i noticed that everytime i run a game at another resolution than my desktop resolution my virtual memory is linea filling up to 100%. After it reaches the 100% mark, the Windows Error message shows up and it wants me to close the game that i'm playing. If i run the game at the same resolution than the desktop resolution or in windowed mod this doesnt happen. If i switch back to the desktop, the virtuel memory is will be cleared again.

What i'v already tried:

  • Re-installed DirectX
  • Repaire Visual Studio 2013
  • Cleaned and re-installed Nvidia and Intel HD drivers
  • Used a old version of Nvidia drivers
  • Used a old version of Intel HD drivers
  • Re-installed Windows 8 Intel chipset drivers and sata
  • Different amounts of virtual memory
  • Moved the virtual memory from sdd to hdd
  • Checkdisc
  • Re-installed the games
  • Checked memory usage and programms
  • De-installed Avira AntiVir
  • Re-installed Windows 8.1

My system

  • Intel i7-3610QM
  • 8,00 GB - 1600MHz
  • 120 GB SSD
  • 1 TB HDD
  • Nvidia Geforce GT650M - 2 G
  • Intel HD 4000 - 256 MB
  • Asus N76VZ Notebook
  • Virtual memory on SSD 8 GB to 16 GB

Windows 8.1 HD4000 cannot update driver

I have updated my Asus Transformer Book TX300 to Windows 8.1 (64 bit). It has the standard 10.18.10.3308 driver installed for my Intel HD Graphics 4000. I downloaded the new 10.18.10.3316 driver, but when I try to install it I get the message "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer.". This does not only happen with this driver, but also any other older driver version that is compatible with my Intel HD Graphics 4000.

Asus has yet to put up any of its own published drivers for the Asus Transformer Book TX300 with Windows 8.1. How do I fix this problem and update my driver?

Intel HD4000 and MST Hub

Hi,

I've got laptop with Intel i7-3630QM. There is integrated graphic card Intel HD4000 and 3 outputs: DVI, HDMI and Display Port. I'd like to connect 3 monitors at the same time in extended mode (independent). I've found the information that I can connect up to 3 monitors to my laptop if at least 2 of them are connected via Display Port. Due to only 1 Display Port output I need to use a hub. And now is my question: Can I use MST Hub (i.e. Multi Stream Transport (MST) Hub DisplayPort 1-3 - Graphic solutions GeForce & Radeon) to extend number of outputs? Then I could connect 1 monitor via Display Port -> Display Port, second via active dongle Display Port -> DVI or HDMI and 3rd via the same dongle or via native DVI or HDMI Intel HD4000 output.

I'm digging the Internet looking for a solution for a few days and I don't want to spend money on not working solutions.

Thanks,

Darek

Need Help!

I got a H87 motherboard with CPU i5 4570 , Windows 8.

I tried to connect to Dell 27" U2713HM monitor by hdmi, but I cannot set the resolution to 2560x1440.

I have double check the motherboard manual which said it support up to 4k by hdmi.

and I upgraded the Intel HD graphic driver to the newest version.

But I still could not set the resolution to 2560x1440.

In the Intel graphic control panel and Win 8 resolution setting, it only show up to 1080p in the resolution pull down menu.

I could only selection resolution up to 1080o only.

Would anyone can help me, how can I set the resolution to 2560x1440, which should be supported by the Intel HD 4600.

Thank all for the help

Intel HD Graphics 4000

Seeing the same graphics as mine in the title of several posts, it makes me a little nervous about trying to update my driver.  I had a crash and posting on one of the support forums for Win 7, I was toldthat according to my dump file, my graphics driver had crashed and needed updating.

The update utility told me:

Product DetectedIntel® HD Graphics 4000
Current Driver Installed9.17.10.2932
Newer Driver Available:15.33.22.64.3621 (10.18.10.3621)Download Now
File Size:135 MB

Detailed Driver Description & Driver Documentation

The download link took me to a page that said the driver had been moved.

This is my system:

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/nonegiven/saved/Y97TwP

Is this the correct driver? File name:Win64_153322.exe  from this page:  https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23885

How do I avoid having trouble installing it, since it seems to be such a problem?  Some time back, Microsoft had an update for my graphics but the update was unsuccessful, every time I tried to get it to install.

Is there any way of playing 4k 3840x2160 HEVC video clips with the Intel HD4600 graphic smoothly without ANY judder?

I have a pretty fast PC... ASUS SABERTOOTH Z87 Intel Core i7-4790K (iGPU HD4600 graphic) and the Dell 4k UP3214Q monitor

PowerDVD 14 and the MPC-HC player with Strongene Lentoid HEVC Decoder can play it but not without some judder (CPU usage is about 60-80%)

Is it possible to optimize the Intel HD4600 graphic to be able to play HEVC/H.265 video completely smoothly, or do I need to buy a better video card???
