Need to Update OpenGL to 3.2 or Higher

I have the Intel HD Graphics 3000 on my computer with Build 9.17.10.4101 version 15.28.23.64.4101. I'm am running a Dell Laptop  computer with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 Intel Core i3-235OM CPU@2.30 GHz 64 Bit Operating System. I purchase a Photoshop Plugin, Topaz Impression, and when trying to install it the plugin indicates it requires OpenGl 3.2 or higher and to update the graphics card driver to update the OpenGL to 3.2 or higher. I used the Intel Drive Updater 2.0 and was able to download the latest Intel HD Graphics 3000 driver but this did not update the OpenGL which remained at OpenGL 3.1. Any ideas how I can get my OpenGL to update to 3.2 or higher since there is no other new Intel HD Graphics 3000 driver to download.

Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

Arma 3 DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED Crashes on Intel Iris 6100

Hey Intel !

I know, there are a lot of posts about those crashes, but they all exists for several years and still can't find any solutions.

I'm running Arma 3 on a MacBookPro 2015 (i5 dual core 2.9ghz / 8 go ram / Intel Iris 6100), using bootcamp to be able to boot on windows like any other computers.

I can run arma 3, even in standard high, with an average of 50fps. But, randomly, it crashes, often with this error message "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED".

All my drivers are up to date (I also have the latest driver for the new intel iris 6100), and directX11 installed (also installed version 10). I've tried to run arma from the launcher, with specific memory alloc library, cores, threads, windowed, not windowed, etc.

In game, if I don't move, the problem appears less often.

Does anyone know a solution to fix this ? Or any intel's solution about installing a specific old driver ?

Please don't tell me "Update your drivers, re-install arma, re-install drivers" I already tried all those solution, and I also re-install my windows from different iso.

Thank you !

Windows media center and intel 4600 graphics live tv stutter

I am using a Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H mother board with the Intel I5 4430 LGA1150 Processor Built in 4600 GPU.

This was a New build with Windows 7 32bit as a HTPC.

During Live tv some channels like HBO or AMC seem to stutter pause, audio becomes out of sync and generally jumpy and un watchable. There was a Flashing that occurred with the stutter but turning off the automatic contrast seems to have solved that problem.

Despite the fact that the ticket i opened 8000886838 was answered by Warner that such functionality doesn't exist with Intel. I was finally able to locate it within the HD Graphics Control program.

I have done a lot of research on the issue and some call it a 29/59 frame rate issue.  Most people though are able to alleviate the problem simply by turning off the adaptive contrast control. Others have given up and simply buy an additional graphics card.

I would rather be able to fix the issue and use the on board graphics.

Is there any steps I can take that would help the issue. Older drivers maybe. Settings I am unaware of.  Reg Key's that might help?

Speaking of the drivers, included with the graphics driver is the Audio driver to take the audio over the HDMI cable.  When the system goes to sleep however that driver seems to crash during wakeup and a reboot is needed to get audio back on the HDMI cable.

Any help would be appreciated.

Intel HD4600 Color Dithering Issues on Non-OEM Images

Good afternoon;

On our new machines using the Intel HD4600, we have encountered issues with color-dithering issues on Windows 8.1 Enterprise and the Windows 10 Technical Preview.  I am going to engage Lenovo technical support on this, but as the problem has been narrowed down to the HD4600 graphics, I thought I would try here as well:

  • The issue is not present on Windows 7 Enterprise corporate image
  • The issue is not present on OEM Windows 8.1 Pro image
  • The issue is present on Windows 8.1 Enterprise install (even with a vanilla Microsoft ISO installation)
  • The issue is present on Windows 10 Enterprise Technical Preview (even with a vanilla Microsoft ISO installation)
  • The issue is not resolved by updating/downgrading graphics drivers - revisions from 2013 to 2015 have been attempted
    • OEM drivers from the 100% functional OEM image were captured, but when redeployed on a corporate Win 8.1 Enterprise image, does not correct the issue
  • The issue is resolved when using non-Intel, non-accelerated "Microsoft Basic Display Driver"
  • The issue is not able to be captured with screenshots - screenshots will display normally on a non-affected systems

The issue is mostly prevalently seen on images/wallpapers with solid color variance, the "Metro UI" styled Windows 8.1 Start Screen icons of solid colors, and various graphical dialog boxes.

Screenshots from a physical camera pointed at the LCD - Captured screenshots will not reflect the issue in the image file:

I've expired my troubleshooting skills for this one - generally things like this are driver-related, but I've disproved that.

Any ideas?  Obscure registry entry perhaps?

Any help would be much appreciated; thank you for your time and support.

Best Intel,

I have a problem of update:

Graphics: Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Intel NUC 10.18.10.3621 (Latest)

When I install Windows 7 64bit on my DN2820FYKH and update this Graphics software just works normally and shows resolution to 1920 x 1080.

But if I install Windows 8.1 64 bit graphics software update after I get black screen on my monitor screen. also restart does not work ...

Also, Windows 10 I have given windows microsoft feedback, but no screen after update of graphics software from DN2820FYKH.

I also installs latest chipset version. But I think the monitor is G245HQ driver problem. so hopefully that intel graphics software is an update or fix it. It is unfortunate that only Windows 7 64bit does work.

Thanks You if reply.

Intel GMA 3150 OpenGL, disabled by Windows 8!

I have a Neo Basic B3390 netbook with a processor of Intel Atom N570, a graphics card of Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 and an operating system of windows 8.

When I bought this netbook, it had an operating system of windows 7 Starter and the intel GMA 3150 worked fine but the problem came when I upgraded my OS to windows 8 wherein I cannot even open the graphics menu (graphics properties) which is possible to open in windows 7. Why is it that I cannot access the openGL of my graphics card and if I play minecraft, it won't run because it needs an accelerated openGL mode. I scanned my netbook for openGL and it said that there is no OpenGL in my netbook. Please help me because many of my applications won't run without openGL. Is the main reason is when I f***ed up my computer by upgrading to Windows 8 and losing OpenGL, or is it that Intel Corporation has no drivers for windows 8 for this GMA 3150 yet.

Latest HD Graphics driver version 3907 and MS Office 2013

Hi all,

With the latest driver installed and conservative morphological anti-aliasing set to 'override app settings' mode (with which the general graphics performance has improved significantly), in MS office 2013 i get text that will sometimes get very blurry especially after i minimize another window on top of it.

I know for a fact that if i disable conservative morphological AA the text within will appear crisp and sharp once again, but is there a way to adjust the graphic settings so this feature is turned off ONLY when one of the office apps is active?

Funny this only happens to office 2013 apps.  other apps e.g. windows explorer are not affected.

Cheers,

thank u.

ArmA 3: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED seems driver related

$

Hello,

Ever since ArmA 3 was released as an alpha back in March, it plagued me (and quite a few others) with these apparently random DirectX 11 crashes (either freezing or CTD):

"D3D Error - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED"

"Display Driver Stopped Responding and has recovered."

A few days ago I, acting on a hunch, installed an old driver (15.28.7.64.2867) from October(?) 2012 and was able to play the game without any crashes in area's/maps that were unplayable before.

Working my way up (I have some, but not all drivers released) I found that the drivers up to 9.17.10.2932 (December 2012) perform flawlessly, while 9.18.10.3071 (March 2013) and later tend to suffer from this issue.

So while installing the latest drivers is recommended as a starting point for every glitch, in this case it is not going to get you anywhere: it seems that every iteration has inherited a flaw that was introduced somewhere during that period (December 2012 - March 2013).

I hope this in some way helps you to tackle this issue, and allows me to have my graphics driver up to date in the near future...

These 'tests' were performed, ceteris paribus, on this machine:

Intel i7-3770K@3500|3900 (HD 4000@1150)

MSi Z77A-GD65 (UEFI: 10.11ß)

32GB Corsair Vengeance@1600

Windows 8.1_x64

All drivers were up to date.

Will it Display Properly?

I recently got an HP convertible laptop (11-n041ca) for exclusive use for work that requires multiple windows and/or spreadsheets at once. It's not that much of a computer, but it should be able to manage. I would, however, like to connect an external display to it and thought that a 2560×1080 ultra wide monitor via HDMI, but I can't find any documentation informing me if my computer will be able to do so, and well. All I know is that it has an Intel Pentium Processor with Intel HD Graphics. I would rather be sure it is capable of doing so before investing in a monitor of that price.

After updating to Windows 8.1: "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered"

$

Since I've updated to Windows 8.1 every time I press the power button to wake the computer from sleep, this happens:

The screen goes dark for a few seconds

then it starts working and I get the following message in Desktop:

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered"

It's very annoying and time consuming, since I'm turning the tablet off and on (actually sleep/wake up) constantly during the day. (This doesn't happen when turning on the device when it's completely shut down though.)

I have:

Samsung ATIV Smart PC 500T

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator

Current Driver Installed 9.14.3.1170

P.S.: I should also mention that I disabled Windows lock screen by editing the registry - so when woken up, it goes directly to last opened app/program - no lock and login screen. But I think that this shouldn't matter, since I've done this on Windows 8 (same computer, same graphics card) and everything worked fine.

How can this be solved?

Updating UBOs on Sandy Bridge GPUs causes visual bugs

$

What's the proper way to update UBOs on Sandy Bridge GPUs? When using OpenGL, updating the UBO using glBufferSubData without issuing a glFinish before causes image corruption. To me it seems as though the buffer update is immediate and not queued, leading to corruption of whatever object was rendering at the time. Calling glFinish before UBO update fixes the issue. Do I need to always use sync objects when dealing with UBOs? This issue is not present with my other GPUs (non-intel). I have latest drivers installed, but I noted this issue long ago.

I'm experiencing a problem that is also apparent on 4000 apparently, as seen here.

I've gone over the internet with a fine comb. As stated, the game is very old, and I'm running the most recent version of it. The driver provided there obviously isn't suitable for my chipset, and I was wondering if an appropriate one was released for mine.

DxDiag, Graphics Report and System Information attached.

Constant!!!! Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered

I currently have 2 systems at my company experiencing this nonstop display driver issue.  Both run the same i5-3450 CPU on a H67MA-E45 (B3) (MS-7678) motherboard with 8GB of DDR3.  One has been in service for over a year, and the other is a brand new build that hasn't even been deployed yet.  Upon running the Intel Driver Update Utility 2.0, I was able to get both machines onto the latest VGA drivers (15.33.32.64.4061, Dec 2014), but this is still happening.

I have parsed through other threads on here regarding this issue, but have yet to find any solutions which actually fix this problem.  The above screenshot is from this morning, with the system sitting at idle with no applications running.  Still, it crashes about 15 times every hour.  Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen documented cases of this error happening as far back as 6 years ago, I find it surprising that in all that time this is still happening.  Please advise.

Intel HD Graphics 4000 malfunctioning heavily, causes jittering

$

My laptop was working all fine this morning, when I was making a quick check over my mails and allowing Windows Defender scan to run in the mean time. It is an Samsung Ativ Tab 7 with Intel HD Graphics 4000 inside.

This was around 10 o'clock in the morning, and my computer was closed in my backpack until 4 o'clock afternoon. I had opened it for the first time then, which was also when I have seen this issue for the very first time. I hadn't seen anything like this since the old cable TV days. The screen is exactly like when the signal is very poor on your old CRT television.

It looks like this: Samsung Ativ 7 Tab after 18 months - YouTube (recorded that with some other device)

I have tried many things, and at some point, I have realized that this isn't a failure regarding the screen or its connections, but rather regarding the GPU, either the driver (less likely) or the hardware (more likely). Replacing the Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver with Microsoft Basic Display Adapter driver resolves the issue, resolves as in:

- no more screen jittering (which likely hurts the computer, as well as my eyes)

- no help from the Intel GPU in terms of graphics processing

- tearing

- brightness adjustment gone

- cannot put my computer on sleep

- closing the lid turns the computer off

- animations are frame-skipped

- cannot play games

The list goes on and on, but of course everything from the third item on is just a consequence of the second item. I don't know, I think I can kind of live without most of those, or at least try living. However, I have no idea how to survive without Sleep on a laptop.

I don't have much hopes on this, but is there anything that may cure the jitter? I am very much inclined to perform any procedure that has even a slight chance to fix it, both in the software and the hardware level.

Otherwise, is there a way to Sleep with this Microsoft Basic Display Driver?
