Can't create any custom resolution at all

$

Hi,

Please read all the details before answer

I'm currently having an annoying and irritating issue here. I have a Windows 7 1SP ASUS laptop with Optimus switching system with Intel HD4600 as the built-in and Nvidia Geforce 745M graphics card and I always their drivers up-to-date. I tried to create custom resolution through "Display"option in Nvidia control panel but my Nvidia control panel only has "3D Settings"option. As I have searched for a solution on the Internet so far, I've found out that it's because I have an Optimus laptop and Intel handles "Display", that's why there is no "Display"option in Nvidia control panel. I have a Generic PnP monitor that can support highest resolution at 1600x1200 60Hz, but I can't set beyond 1366x768; this is crazy. Custom resolution option in Intel control panel keeps saying either I've put the wrong value or the resolution exceeds maximum bandwidth capacity. The thing that confuses me the most is when I put 1366x768 60Hz, which is my current resolution as I'm typing this question right now, it still says this value exceeds bandwidth capacity! It's not true at all! I'm using this resolution! Is there any way at all I can create custom resolution? Doesn't have to be through Intel control panel. I just want to my laptop to run at its best. Another problem is I don't have the Timing Standard setting in Intel control panel's custom resolution option, but the manual explains how to use it, that means it's supposed to be there.

Popup message box in VB6 with Intel® Iris™ and HD Graphics random not show Windows 8/8.1

Hi,

Have a issue in our old Visual Basic 6 program.

When a Message box should popup in the program it not displayed ( like it's hidden but is there)

Sometime it show but most time it not show ( 1 of 5 times it not show the popup box)

With AMD or Nvidia it allways work.

Have tested a couple of Intel Graphics HD modell

It's only the latest Intel Gen.4 that this happen.

If I change to Microsoft Standard driver it work.

Know this is old, but dose anyone have a clue what can couse this only on Intel HD Gen4 graphics like Iris ?

Computer tested on has

Intel i7- 4500U - 4400HD

Intel i5-4200M - 4600HD

HD Graphics 4400-Asus VivoMini UN62: Resolution/Alignment Problem

$
0
0

I have an Intel HD Graphics 4400 in my Asus VivoMini UN62 (Win7Pro-8GigMem) with driver rev

10.18.14.4156 installed. Monitors are dual LG L246WP HDMI with native res 1920x1200.

When I use the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel to select 1920x1220 for the display, the

desktop is pushed off the left of the monitor making it impossible to see/use the Windows

START button.

If I dial the resolution back to 1024x768 and set "Maintain Display Scaling",

I can get the entire desktop to show and align with the edges of the monitor display area

.. but that throws away two thirds of the desktop work area.

I have tried the LG monitor settings, but there are no adjustments there that I can find

that help.

QUESTION:  Am I missing something here or do I have a hardware failure? (I have image

captures of this if that will help.)

I am at a dead end here after two days of digging/experimenting and would really appreciate

any help to get an understanding and resolution to the problem.

Thanks!

Intel HD Grpahics Family Display driver won't update

Hi, I have a Hp Pavilion dv6 notebook PC with Radeon (TM) HD 6770M graphics, Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 and Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30 GHz 2.30 GHz processor.

I updated all the graphics drivers about 3 months ago and when  turned on my laptop, the screen was stretched but apparently there wasn't anything wrong with the resolution, because when I checked it, as it was set on the same resolution as before. I tried playing some games but none of them started because I got messages such as:

Capture.JPG

I went on Device Manager and there was a exclamation mark icon next to the radon graphics and below it was the intel driver labelled as "unknown device"; also with the same icon. I tried updating both but nothing happened. I tried updating intel display driver via Windows Update but it said that it failed. I restarted the computer several times and still nothing changed.

Any ideas?

Btw sorry if it's in the wrong section or something

Here are my diagnosed system specs:

Intel HD Graphics Driver Windows: How to delete an old custom profile?

$

I'm using the latest Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 8.1 (Win64 v15.36.18.64.4156), and I don't see anyway using the 'HD Graphics Control Panel' to delete custom profiles that I'm no longer using.  Has this functionality disappeared? (I hope not!)   Can anyone explain the way (or a workaround) to delete a custom display profile?  I have many that no longer work and they are cluttering up the interface!   I even tried searching the Windows registry for Keys that might contain the undesired profile name(s) - but it looks like they are no longer stored in the registry either.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions here!

i have an I5 with the embeded graphics inside it. i upgraded memory but now windows 7 wont boot properly ( it hanngs during the animation ) .

I was told it could be the graphics driver needs to be updated

is this true? the Cor I family of processors cannot handle more memory without first updating the graphics driver of the CPU?

or is the ICore limited to just working with a sloooow 1333 MHz @ 4 gigs of ram???

Crucial told me it could be a graphics issue

Official Black-screen thread - We need your help!

Hello Graphics Communities!

For a very long time now we've been trying to track down, diagnose, and correct an issue that seems to be happening all across the board with Intel® Graphics.  Users, for various reasons - seem to have issues with OEM systems (and Intel® NUC's) losing their display for different events.

  • Installing new drivers
  • Rebooting
  • Computers idling, going into sleep or hibernation
  • Other random events

We have run into a stumbling block in fixing this issue, and that is that we are unable to reproduce the symptoms above.  We have ordered exact-matching systems, displays and cables - and matched our configurations to those of the users having problems, and we are completely unable to reproduce the problem.  The issue is complex, but in this particular case - it stems from the fact that two users with the same configuration are not guaranteed to have the problem, it varies from user to user, system to system, display to display.

What we at Intel® are asking now though is 2-fold.  If you are one of these users (or a business) experiencing a consistent black-screening issue as mentioned above, we would like to procure your COMPLETE system configuration.  This means, we want you to ship us (at our expense) - the System (desktop or laptop), display (TV, monitor) AND the cable (hdmi, dp, dvi, vga) used by your system when it starts to have a blackscreen failure.  If you are willing to do this, you should be aware that we will keep your system for an extended period, and will compensate you by replacing your setup.

NOW!  Even if you are not willing to send us your system, and would just like to inform us that you have a black-screen issue.  That is okay too. Even if you have already submitted this info in some of our other black-screen threads, feel free to submit it here too.  Please submit the following information into this thread so that we can continue to document all possible instances of it.  Just copy and paste the below list and put in relevant information (completely!).  *NOTE* If you have not already done so, please update your BIOS and Display Driver to the latest version available.  We cannot accept a report of a failing configuration that is not up to date.  Additionally, if you are running your display through a 3rd party device such as a projector or an AV/R (receiver), you need to show that the problem still occurs without the extra device connected (a direct connection from system to display is required).

Are you willing to send your system to us? (Yes/No)
Is your system a laptop or desktop?
If desktop, is it custom built, or manufactured?
If desktop, what is the make/model of your motherboard?
What is the make/model of your system? (COMPLETE model name required)
What is the model of your CPU?
What is the make/model of your failing display(s)?
If laptop, is your built-in display failing? (Yes/No)
What is your operating system?
Is it a 64-bit or 32-bit operating system?
What display driver version do you have installed?
What type of connection are you using? (HDMI, VGA, DP, DVI?)
What happens that results in the blackscreen failure?

Any/all information is valuable.

Thank you for your information & cooperation!

HD 4600 Mobile Can't use External Display Native Resolution 1920X1200

$

Hello,

I have a laptop with

an i7-4710MQ;

Intel HD 4600 on board-graphics,

and GeForce GTX860M GPU.

Running Windows 8.1

The native resolution for the LAPTOP PANEL is 1920X1080.

Here's my problem: I just purchased a Dell U2412M external monitor which has a Native Resolution of 1920X1200. However, I can't get it to display in that resolution and my screen is slightly fuzzy to boot, enough to hurt the eyes and likely due to my resolution problem. I have options for 1600x1200; 1680x1050; 1920x1080; and 2048x1152 but no 1920x1200.

I have updated the Intel HD4600 with the latest drivers. I am connected via VGA (which is my only external option between this laptop and that monitor. i.e. no DVI or Displayport connectors on the Laptop; no HDMI connector on the monitor). I have had some issue with the laptop recognizing the Dell U2412M as "Generic PNP" or "Def Plug and Play Monitor - Default_Monitor" so updating the drivers there has been an issue, but I have been able to force the U2412M analog drivers to load.

At this point I'm guessing there's some issue with the HD 4600 not giving me the correct display options. Can anyone please help?? I have been working on this and researching for a few hours and I'm at a loss.

Thank you.

-Seth G

Toshiba Satellite ,Can't update the drivers for Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.

When i try to update it from an .exe file it said something like this."The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufactuerer. Setup will exit." There is a video on YouTube on how to update intel graphic card drivers but it shows it how to update it with an .zip file as he had the same problem with the .exe file ,however he had a different graphics card and the .zip file was availible but on my graphics card (Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family) there is nothing like a .zip file availible to download from the orginal website of intel. It  was last updated in 2010 to version 8.15.10.2086 and there is a new version from 2012 to15.17.18.2555.

Thanks!

I run a intel with a build in HD4000 chip. I use the hdmi to connect to my onkyo receiver, wich is dts hd-master compatible. In the driver (downloaded today from intel, i can setup the driver for use of 7.1 channels. If i play a movie, the receiver displays "Multich". When i use a blue ray player, it says "dts hd-master". The quality of the soud is great, so probably it is correct, but i would like the receiver to show "DTS HD-MASTER" in stead o f "multichannel".

How can i fix that? I think that i will have something to do with audio passtrough. But i can not choose passtrough in the driver.

pleas help me.

After 10.18.14.4156 Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 update my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 no longer works properly.

After 10.18.14.4156 Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 update my NVIDIA GeForce GTX

670 no longer works properly. I have tried everything I can think of. I was

able to get it working temporarily by doing a full system restore but as

soon as the windows update ran and did the 10.18.14.4156 update on the

onboard graphics, the discrete card no longer functions properly. I was

also able to rollback the driver for the 4600 Intel so it would work

temporarily, but as soon as it does the update again, it stops working and

I have to use the onboard HDMI port. If I try to use the NVIDIA HDMI after

the update, I can get picture and a cursor, but no desktop icons (strangely

the start menu and the desktop background are there) and cannot do any

other tasks. Since it works when that update is not installed and I have a

fully clean windows 8.1 install, I know its not a virus or setting and I

have eliminated hardware as being the issue. I cannot get the driver to

rollback again without doing another full recovery and I can't use the GTX

670 HDMI or DVI port at all right now. It must be the NVIDIA and Intel

drivers interfering with each other. I don't know who to contact further as

my rig is out of warranty, but it seems like a support issue not a personal

issue to me and even though my device is out of warranty, something like

this should not be happening and it should be taken care of. Also, somehow

the driver updates itself and I cannot fully disable or uninstall the Intel

graphics drivers, I have tried and they come back on reboot. Please help me resolve this problem!

Intel InTru 3D & Display Port

Hi everyone!

I have processor i3-3220 with intel graphics hd 2500 (intel intru 3d included).

Right now i want to buy 3D active monitor. Main goals are: watch 3D BD, movies and photos (without gaming).

I've read a lot of information about 3D in general and Intru 3D in particular.

But i have a few questions about this.

As i understand i'm able to organize 3D playback using HDMI v1.4. It's recommended in Intel's technical description.

An HDMI-to-HDMI or a Display Port-to-HDMI connection to the TV.
A connection to a stereoscopic 3D TV that supports HDMI 1.4.

But in this variant i'll only get Frame Packing mode 1080P@24 Hz via HDMI cable.

Or I will be allowed to watch 3D content using Side by Side method.

There is another description. I saw that there is no information about connection with Display Port, although in the newest description we can wee that information.

So the questions is - Is it possible to organize Frame Sequential 3D mode using Display Port cable and to achieve full hd 1080P@120 Hz?

Can Intru 3D technology transfer frames at 120 Hz to the monitor using Display Port in order to get 3D Frame sequential?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi, I have just purchased a Toshiba Satellite S50-B-15U and I'm trying to connect it to my 3 year old AOC monitor via HDMI (as the Toshiba doesn't have a VGA port). However whatever I try I can't get the laptop to communicate with  the monitor. The graphics in the Toshiba is version 10.18.10.4061. Someone on another forum says that an older version of  driver (9.18.10.3165) would cure the problem but when I try and install this on the laptop it keeps saying I have the  latest driver and it will not let me change to the older version.  I should add that the laptop communicates fine with my TV via the same HDMI port and cable. Also, the monitor works  fine via VGA to my old tower PC. Any suggestions appreciated

Display driver crash causing system to freeze during start up of Photoshop and Premiere Pro

This problem only happens if I put my computer through sleep cycles. On a fresh restart I can launch both photoshop and premiere without problem. Once the system freezes, I can't do anything but to force shut-down the laptop by long pressing my power button.

The following thread describes similar issues but for a different driver. I've followed the suggestion and manually installed the latest driver from Intel (the OEM didn't work) for my intel graphics card, but the problem persists.

Re: After updating to Windows 8.1: "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered"

Any help is very appreciated!

Intel HD 4000 serious gradient banding with HDMI

Recently I bought a new monitor (ViewSonic VX2363SMHL-W) for my laptop (Samsung NP510R5E-S02RU). Everything was fine, except of serious banding which appears in every gradient and sometimes with noticeable flickering (even my laptop's TN panel performs better here). I thought it was my monitor's problem, but then I connected it via VGA and the problem was gone! Then I decided that HDMI cabel is defective and tried another cabel, but it didn't work as well. So, GPU (Intel HD 4000) is causing this problem. I would have stopped with VGA, but it leads (obviously) to some loss of quality (e.g. text is blurry) which is even worse. I have latest drivers that Samsung can offer.

After some research I found out that this is a known issue (HD4000 hdmi Black level not black enough. Gradient Banding too). I wonder if it was fixed already and what I should do to get it work properly? 'Cause this is REALLY annoying

Attached a screenshot to provide some clarity in my words.

P.S: Sorry for my English just in case.
