I have registered to receive the windows 10 upgrade in July. I have an HP pavilion 23 inch all in one with a touch screen, and Windows 8.1. I got a message from Microsoft saying that the Intel graphics 4600 device is not fully compatible with Windows 10, and I shall experience problems with my display......... This is disappointing. How will this be solved? Anybody else had this message? Any ideas welcome.

Intel HD Graphics 4000 scaling does not work
How can you remove this scaling nonsense from graphics ?
It does not work in all applications, fx. in "Company of Heroes 2" program it just adds giant black borders instead of the selected resolution in the application´s video options. It is possible to change the desktop resolution first and then run "Company of Heroes 2" with matching resolution, but it´s a nuisance.
You can select to center image of desktop in intel graphics advance settings control panel scaling with a low resolution and then you get a tiny desktop on a large black screen. It obviously effects the default settings for windows that don´t have this useless setting. So how can you get the intel hd graphics driver without this scaling crap, so applications can run normal also in lower resolutions ?
OpenGL geometry shader freezes driver (Intel HD 4000)
Using a geometry shader to render lines causes the driver to freeze the computer.
Source code can be found here: asylum2010/Asylum_Tutorials · GitHub
Repro: build and run the project titled "23_MultiThreading" -> driver freezes. After a while it resets.
The shader is loaded at framework/drawingitem.cpp:59.
If I replace that string with 0 (so the geometry shader doesn't get loaded), then the program works fine.
If I load the geometry shader but I don't use it, then the program still works() !
(note: ignore the fact that I use multithreading, it has nothing to do with it !)
Halo 2 Vista Flickering textures on Intel HD Graphics 4400 (Family graphics)

Intel HD Graphics - Installation Problem on Windows 8.1
I am using a HP Pavilion laptop.
Model: dv3 - 4048TX
Display adapters are: Intel(R) HD Graphics and AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series.
I just upgraded it from Windows 7 to Window 8.1 Pro (64-bit)
after the upgrade, the display drivers updated themselves when I connected to Internet and some features like the brightness buttons started working.
I restarted the PC, but it failed to restart on several attempts and I am prompted to restore it. After successfully restoring to previous state, it boots/restarts successfully.
I discovered that the problem is from the AMD graphics driver and downloaded the latest AMD driver software from AMD website.
I also uninstalled the AMD graphics driver and tried to install the downloaded one but it fails. I tried also to install even older versions but it still fails to install.
1. Half way on installing the AMD graphics driver, the screen flickers and finally the PC goes off.
2. On several attempts to restart, it fails until I restore it.
I have contacted AMD company and they recommended that I install the latest "Intel graphics driver" first before installing the AMD drivers.
I downloaded the Intel driver from your site and tried to install it but I get this error:
"Your computer does not have the minimum requirement for installing the software"
what can I do to get the driver installed?
I really need help on this issue please.
Thanks.
Intel display driver has stopped responding and has recovered
Okay, so I have the following problem:
At first it only happened after games (mostly League of Legends), when I switched back to desktop, that srceen suddenly starts going grey or blank for some seconds, and if it recoveres, then I get the "Intel display driver has stopped responding and has recovered" error message, or stays blank and I have to restart my laptop to make it work again. However it happened once when I was only using the browser (after I had to restart it because of the above reasons).
These are my specs.:

Setting 1024x768 resolution on Windows 7x64 virtual monitor using Intel HD 5000
Hello,
I have a problem setting a custom resolution of 1024x768 on a virtual monitor using IntelHD 5000.
I use the NUC 54250 kit and run Windows 7 x64 on it, connect to a monitor using HDMI or Display port (tried both).
I define a 2nd monitor virtually (using windows screen resolution setting screen, press the detect button and select the "try to connect to : VGA").
The only resolution I see available for the virtual monitor created is 1280x720.
When I use the Intel HD graphics Control panel to set custom resolution, I successfully define 800x600.
BUT, when i try to define 1024x768 custom resolution I get an error saying "Maximum bandwidth exceeded".
For the 1st monitor (physical one, connected through HDMI/DP) I have no issues with resolution.
How can I define 1024x768 on the virtual monitor, it's crucial for me??
When I use desktop PC's with NVidia/AMD display adapters, I have no issue getting 1024x768 from the 2nd virtual monitor.
I use the latest Bios/window updates/intel HD drivers (even tried the beta version, but no luck).
Thank you.

consune of luck of open gl support on intel hd graphics 4000 even windows Vista (not really)
i get the fact why windows vista is not supported on intel hd graphics 4000, i had it installed, without a problem in the most, part except, windows experience index will not work base on wddm 1.0 compliance is not thew. even modifier your code for open gl 3.3. other tune that it works.
I'm more cansune of the luck of open gl support for intel hd graphics 4000; it's open gl is 4.0. compared to intel hd graphics 4400 and above. has open gl 4.3 even as of june 5th directx 11.2. i care less about directx runtime 11.1 or 11.2 support on windows 8.1 update 2 that i also have tune vista. with mac book pro mid 2012. not even installed boot camp instead just native hardware from your site even others. will you see i have windows 8.1 update 2 32-bit, so apple does not make drivers for it
what i relly care is atlose open gl 4.1 because it is pretty mush supported except for shading language version 4.1 even the open gl 4.2 is the same ecope it needs, GL_ARB_shader_image_load_store father-more shading language cersion 4.2. i understand that you want people to upgrade owe, hardware, the thing people like myself running laptops can't. all i ask is open gl 4.1. even lenix and apple has it. of there could even windows could also. now i admit that open gl 4.1, from apple or lenix, can not be use for heavy gaming, only for basic software. intel if you haven't added support for this resen. you could shy that we added open gl 4.1 for user's feedback and might or might not work for you, because of the incastine by defart it is 4.0. thick from Wright Micah
Windows 10 and Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver
Yes I was going to sign up to get Windows 10 but it ran a scan and basically said "Intel HD Graphics 4000 you'll experience problems with your display" I am guessing Intel or Toshiba will not release a Windows 10 driver. I am pretty disapointed since I only bought this computer like 8 months ago I bought Satellite C55-A5100. Anyway around this issue or maybe I will just have to keep Windows 8.1? If anyone has any thoughts or anything that would help that would be great.
Thanks,
Tony
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 compatibility issue with WIN10
My laptop has Intel(R) HD 4000 graphics installed and in the recent Windows 10 reservation notification that was sent out to Windows 7 and 8 users the PC check states that this graphics processor will cease to perform correctly and I will experience problems with my display. My questions are:
1. What kind of problems can I expect to see?
2. Is the problem with the processor or with the drivers?
3. What are the possible solutions given the rest of the laptops' specs are: Toshiba Notebook, Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.3GHz, 8GB RAM, 64-bit operating system currently running WIN7 (SP1).
4. If upgrading my CPU, to get a better integrated GPU, is the only option can this even be done on a laptop?
The laptop is as bought. No hardware has been upgraded since buying it about 2 years ago. If possible, I'd prefer not to have to upgrade hardware or the laptop just because MS doesn't want to accommodate my processor.
I see with 4600 updates will be provided once the launch on the 29th of July occurs.. any news if this will also include the 4000?
EDIT: All optional WIN7 updates have been done and it still registers the imminent error with the 4000.

im running windows 10 10130 and using intel hd 4600 (10.18.15.4225) and nvidia 970m (352.84) and whenever i launch any game the top portion of the screen is dark and then there are blue lines and it shows the game running on the bottom half but its only taking up half that while the other half is mirrored, if i downgrade the drivers to 10.18.15.4204 everything runs fine so i know its gotta be the driver.
Display within browser windows corrupted. GMA 4500 Windows7 64bit. Affects areas outside of browser.
With increasing usage of new browser technologies this problem first occured with the new google maps and now is gaining importance for me:
Display corruption occurs on some web pages, such as google maps and some online games. Specifically the old google maps classics was not affected, but is no longer available.
The graphics appear smeared, shuttered, patterned across increasingly large areas. Text is rendered unreadable.
The windows frame areas (outside of content area) of IE11 and Firefox 38 are affected and contain bulky blocks.
The display in neighbouring tabs within Firefox are bugged. Overlayed windows such as Graphics Properties of Windows are affected.
Turning on Aero increases the problem.
No workaround is known.
Reproducable with maps.google.com by zooming in to street levels, waving the mouse around and over the icons at the bottom right within the maps. Zoom and rezoom. Once the problem occurs, it persists for that browser and windows that overlay that browser.
The problem recoccurs after reboot, occurs in browsers even without addons, and after clearing all caches.
Tested IE11 and Firefox 38 on Windows 7 Prof 64bit English SP1 with latest patches.
Attaching two screen shots from two separate occassions merged into one file. The glitches on the windows are not due to compression or copying - they actually occur on the windows areas outside of the content area.
The problem occured with old drivers, so I updated to driver version 8.15.10.2869, but there was no noticable change. I regulary run windows without aero (is turned off).
Any ideas on the cause or possible workarounds?
"Intel HD Graphics Control Panel" not recognizing primary monitor
!Windows is able to tell I have two monitors, but for some reason my primary monitor is not showing up in the Intel Control Panel. I've looked under "multiple displays" and it only shows one option. I don't exactly understand what is going on, but this seems wrong. How can I get the Control Panel to recognize my primary monitor? !
igfxTray.exe was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005) Intel HD 4400
Hello,
I was testing out the new driver for Intel HD 4400 version 15.36.21.4222 and everything seems properly working (no more black screen flickering while playing games.)
When I was playing the game Elsword, a pop up showed up:
This happened when I was changing the resolution (1366x768) to (800x600.)
Now this didn't really affect the game, the game didn't crash and I was still able to play it after I closed the pop-up. igfxTray.exe seems to create this error when changing the resolution of the game.
It only happens to Elsword, I have yet to test it on other games.
Here are my system specs:
Manufacturer: HP
Product ID: HP15r110dx
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
GPU: Intel HD 4400
CPU: Intel Core i5-4210U
RAM: 6 GB
P.S. I don't want to create another thread for this but I found a bug (I think it's a bug) on the new driver (15.36.21.4222.) When unplugging or plugging the AC adapter on the computer, the display turns black and then turns back to normal. Graphics is unlikely crashing because Event Viewer doesn't show any info.
Searching for an old Intel HD Graphics 2500 driver
Hi all,
i wonder if someone here at Intel knows where i can get an old driver for Intel HD Graphics 2500.
They we're released around October-November 2014 and they we're compatible for Windows 7 64 bit too.
That's all i know.
I need them because a game ''Metro: Last Light'' crashes with the latest drivers
but with these old ones it was running great without any crashing issue's.
