Intel HD Graphics display refresh problem??

$

Hi, the notebook I use for work has a MASSIVELY irritating problem with the display. Our IT administrators have proven incapable of identifying the problem, so I'm now posting the question here.

The attached picture shows an example of what the display does. It is most prevalent when I use Excel, but it happens on most other software as well. This afternoon I attached a second monitor to work across a spreadsheet and presentation, and the same thing happened on the second monitor. In fact the problem was worse on the second monitor... The only way to correct the display is to drag the mouse over the areas you want to see. Or alternatively to minimise and restore the window itself...

At this stage my best guess are that the graphics card is either failing, or I have too little memory, or the processor is too slow.

The system spec is:

HP Probook 4520s

Intel Core i3-350M

2Gb RAM

Onboard Intel HD Graphics

Windows 7 Professional 32-bit

Any ideas?

Hello,

I am wondering why the windows version of the HD4600 driver does not include support for gl_arb_shading_language_include extension?

I have found that the extension is supported under OSX for the same chipset.

I am using i7-4770 processor windows 7 pro.

Thank you,

Hi Intel,

Nowadays, most of the demanding games have a higher VRAM Requirement. However, despite the lack of resources, the games can be tricked and a false amount of VRAM can be displayed by editing the registry. The registry tweak works on HD 4400+ GPUs (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Intel\GMM\REG_DWORD Dedicated Segment Size and would love it see it work on 2nd Generation and 3rd Generation GPUs too.

XPS13 Dell, about 4 months old Pages going blank, locking up

While in a site, facebook, google, and looking at a page, it will start to flash on/off and then go blank.  By this, the heading of the page shows, but none of the information I was looking at.  Seems the window freezes.  I can try to shut the window down with the close screen red X in the top right conor, but nothing happens.  I have to turn the unit off with the power button and reboot it, then it works for awhile, but will fail again shortly.  I have a XPS13 Dell, about 4 months old.  Any suggestions or help.  Thanks, Norm

Battlefield 4 or Frostbite 3 games are locked 20fps on Windows 8.1 with Intel HD 4000 Ivy Bridge

This has been happened on nearly all (tried 2xxx to 4226) drivers in Windows 8.1.

However in Windows 7, this is not an issue and the game runs fine with higher framerate.

from the looks of it the UI are slowing the game down to 20fps. without it, it'll be 30fps which still also lower than what it was in Windows 7. The GPU & CPU Usage are also lower in Windows 8.1

This issue also happens on Battlefield Hardline.

In an ongoing effort to resolve HDMI display detection some users are experiencing, we are releasing a set of test drivers for Sandybridge, Ivybridge, Haswell, and Broadwell based graphics to gather feedback from the Intel Communities on resolving these issues. Some users have been able to resolve this issue by changing the display cable however, this may not solve the issue in all cases. These test drivers provide another option to address this issue.

These test drivers are exactly that, test drivers, and only for testing the HDMI display detection issues. Please be aware that these drivers should not be used on mission critical systems and that we recommend a restore point be created on your system before installing these test drivers.

These test drivers can be installed by extracting the zip file and running the setup.exe file or by using the "Have Disk" method to install.

According to the license agreement, these test drivers are provided "as is" and are not supported by Intel Technical Support or any other department at Intel.

Issues related or due to these drivers are not supported by Intel® Technical Support. However, we at Intel appreciate your feedback in this matter.  Please post all feedback to this thread.

Intel (R) HD Graphics HDMI-Output stopped working

Hello,

I'm looking for a solution on the HDMI-Output problem for a couple of month now and wasn't able to fix it till now. Allmost tried every suggestion I found in Intel's communities or from other forums by Google searching!

For me it's important to get my 2nd monitor working back again, but it looks like I have to buy another computer with an external GPU that doesn't have those issues. Can't really believe, that Intel isn't able to provide their customers with a fix on an issue that is known for over a year now.

So here are my informations on what happened to my system:

I'm running an ACER Aspire Z5700 All-In-One Desktop with an Intel I5 660 CPU actually, which I have changed from the I3 550 CPU, because I thought it may fix the issue, but it doesn't. Have bought the system around 2 years ago and all was working fine. Then I decided to work with a 2nd monitor and took an ACER X223W for that, had to connect over HDMI -> DVI because monitor only has VGA and DVI-Input and the AIO has only one HDMI-Output. But that wasn't a problem, all was working fine, got signal on 2nd monitor, could change between clone or extended, had no problems while powering off/on, all worked like a charm, till I disconnected the HDMI-Cable one time for using the 2nd monitor to configure another computer. After this was done, I tried to reconnect to my AIO and the trouble begun. On my 2nd monitor I only got a black screen with a short "no signal" message, that monitor falls back to power-safe!

OK, what's going wrong now I asked myself, why the hell will no signal found. I tried to get a signal again with a rollback, nothing changed. I tried all available drivers, from Acer Support and all of the Intel drivers. I have updated the BIOS to latest and downgraded it, I bought new cables and adapters, nothing worked. Then I bought the I5 660 CPU around 3 weeks ago to give it a try but same result. Last thing I could do, was to format and try with a fresh install. F***, had to backup around 650 GB files, but I tried and horray nothing worked at all.

So, now we come to the part, that makes me sure, that it isn't a Windows 7 issue, it is definitive an Intel driver issue, because if I take same HDMI-cable, adapter and monitor and connect it to my son's computer, also running Windows 7 but with external GPU, then all is working fine again. Tested with an LCD-TV too, on my AIO no signal, on my son's computer it worked.

Of cause, now we could think the HDMI-Output-Port might not work, but I can't believe that, cause when either the 2nd monitor or LCD-TV is connected, they will shown in device manager, in Intels Control Panel and in Windows Control.

Here are some screens:

http://gyazo.com/2770a3bb59bd89a1b27ab29575512065

DxDiag and ICP-Diag are attached.

Maybe I got blind over all the time with trying to fix the issue, but I really don't know what else I could do or how to solve it, so I'll give it away to you with the hope someone may help me.

Sorry for my english, it isn't my native language, tried my best to describe all I had done.

Lenovo Y50-70 Intel HD 4600 low performance

Hi forum

I have problem with Intel HD 4600 performance. The normal Passmark score for it is 762, mine is only 291. Yes I know this laptop have more powerfull graphic card, but the Intel HD 4600 performance is very low. Is slower than Intel HD 4000 or even Intel HD 3000, in Passmark and various games.

Things that I tried:

Update drivers, both from Intel and Lenovo

Update BIOS

Set system to High Performance

Set Intel GPU to High Performance

My specs:

Intel Core i5 4210H

8 GB RAM dual channel

I asked at Lenovo forums but they don´t know answer.

Thanks for helpfull responses.

I think I solve the problem that Intel HD graphics can't output HDMI or DVI signal

My new computer

CPU i5 2500 k

MB Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3

Monitor ASUS MS246H

OS Windows 7 x64

Days before, I also have the same problem that so many guys have.
I can't get the output from 2500K via the HDMI port and DVI port after install the driver,
It's fine while using the DVI or HDMI port. But when I install the driver and reboot, there is no display after the screen "Windows Starting".I go into the safe mode uninstall the driver to using the system driver, everything just go fine after reboot. And when I using the VGA port from the MB,there is no problem after install driver.I try many kinds of drivers, the HDMI and DVI port also have no display.

Now I solve the problem using the method as below:
1.prepare a vga-vga line, and connect it from MB vga port to monitor vga port
2.connect a hdmi or dvi line from mb to monitor
3.select the monitor output mode to VGA
4.power on the PC and login the system (Now it's using the vga,so there is no problem)
5.install or reinstall the driver and DO NOT restart after the job is over.
6.press WIN+P and select the duplicate mode (the second one) and press enter to confirm.
7.right click on your desktop and select "screen resolution" ,that you will see your monitor is seperated into two parts (1|2)
8.then change your monitor output mode to HDMI or DVI,Is it working now?
9.remove the vga line, and the output form hdmi or dvi is good

10.reboot the PC and everything is OK

Hope this method is useful to you, thanks.

Gameplay.intel.com - Recommended game settings to improve the gaming experience on Intel Graphics

Intel has just launched a brand new Web page called Gameplay.intel.com which provides lab tested in-game optimizations to improve the experience on Intel Graphics. When you install a new game on an Intel Graphics-only system, the experience may not be as great as it could be. Specifically, you may be able to dial up the frame rate and details or even play a game you did not think possible. With the in-game optimizations, the gaming experience on Intel Graphics will be improved. It is Intel’s goal to improve opportunities for gamers to find optimizations to enable better gameplay.

We hope you enjoy it!

Intel HD4600 cannot set custom resolution of 2560x1600 - bandwitdh capacity exceeded!

Hi some professional out there, I need advise... I tried this:

using my laptop dell E6440 having Intel HD4600 graphic, tried to dock on an E-port replicator PR02X or PR03X , then connecting the external monitor thru of Dell 3007WFP thru DisplayPort at E-port replicator (converter from DP to DVI-Dual Link is Dell DANARBC084). As there's no option to choose for 2560x1600 resolution, so I need to create one custom resolution. I open the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel, and key-in my needed resolution 2560x1600@60Hz, it says "The custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity". Without the resolution, my monitor can only display 1280x800. I really need the resolution. Below is the information center report, hope someone may help to advise, many thanks!
