EliteDesk 800 G1 TWR DisplayPort not working (Intel Graphics HD4600)
I have 5 new Desktops (EliteDesk 800 G1 TWR) with identical specs and hardware, each has 2 displayports. I've been trying to connect a DVI monitor to those desktops using a DisplayPort to DVI Cable with no success. only 1 DisplayPort on one desktop managed to give me a picture, all other Desktops did not work.
A link to the cable:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/252022935916?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
The monitor is an HP W2072a
4 of the desktops have the v2.57 BIOS and 1 Desktop has the v2.65 (Latest) BIOS.
the working Displayport is on a PC with the v2.57 BIOS.
I've tried to do a BIOS Reset and that didn't help.
I'm Running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Fully updated, latest intel graphics and chipset drivers.
P.S. The DisplayPort doesnot even work while booting, not just in windows

Why very poor support GL extensions Ivy bridge on Windows compared than mesa linux driver?
Hello again 2015.. spends oblivious of OpenGL support on Windows.
mesa/mesa - The Mesa 3D Graphics Library
On Windows missing a lot extension..Ivy bridge (Only supported hasswell and higher) but supported on Linux (Nightly mesa 11.1 driver)
Opengl 4.2
GL_ARB_shader_image_load_store supported on mesa driver after 11-08-2015 day patch but.Intel only supported hasswell on Windows, ¿Any reason intel?
Opengl 4.3
GL_ARB_clear_buffer_object
GL_ARB_copy_image
GL_ARB_texture_view
GL_ARB_shader_storage_buffer_object
GL_ARB_shader_image_size
GL_ARB_invalidate_subdata
GL_ARB_explicit_uniform_location
Opengl 4.4
GL_ARB_clear_texture
GL_ARB_multi_bind
GL_ARB_texture_mirror_clamp_to_edge
GL_ARB_vertex_type_10f_11f_11f_rev
Opengl 4.5
GL_ARB_clip_control
GL_ARB_conditional_render_inverted
GL_ARB_derivative_control
GL_ARB_direct_state_access
GL_ARB_get_texture_sub_image
GL_ARB_shader_texture_image_samples
GL_ARB_texture_barrier
GL_KHR_context_flush_control
GL_EXT_shader_integer_mix
These extensions are supported HW ivy bridge on linux mesa 11.1 driver but again not on Windows..
It is incomprehensible to leave the support of a HW technically supports by some extension ..
Huge Problem with Windows 10 and Intel HD Graphics 5500 in Dell XPS 13 (2015)
Hi,
I have a Dell XPS 13 (2015) and recently updated to Windows 10. Since then, I have experienced extremelly annoying problems with the display, especially when coming back from sleep or when turning on the display after moments of inactivity. The screen keeps flickering and blacking for the first 5-10 minutes after recovering from sleep mode, which is extremelly annoying. I have seen in other forums that this also happens to other computers from different brands (such as Lenovo).
I have talked to Dell Support, and they have told me it is a problem of the display driver from Intel. I tried uninstalling the driver and, to my surprise, the problem was solved, proving that the latest Intel display driver is problematic (I downloaded and installed the latest one, as of date 25th August 2015, and the problem still remains).
This is a horrible and very frustrating problem. I would like to know how to contact Intel experts to, at least, learn whether they are working on solving this huge problem, or not. Some advice or similar experiences from other members of the community would be helpful too.
Thanks,

Acer C720 eDP Display Detection issue Windows 8.1/10 Intel HD Graphics
I have been having issues with the Intel HD Graphics driver not detecting the eDP Display properly on the Acer C720 with Windows 8.1/10.
With the Microsoft Basic Display Driver (no Intel HD Graphics Driver installed) the system works perfectly with both eDP and HDMI outputs working. However, when the Intel HD Graphics driver (any version) is installed the eDP stops working. When both eDP and HDMI out are connected, there's lines on both screens. With eDP disconnected and HDMI out connected, the HDMI display works perfectly, indicating it is not a problem with the BIOS but is rather an eDP display detection issue with the Intel HD Graphics Driver.
One thing that I noticed was interesting was that when the Windows 8.1 driver (version 10.18.10.4226) is installed, and Intel HD Graphics is disabled and enabled again from device manager, the eDP turns on and both eDP and HDMI out work perfectly with graphics acceleration until the device is rebooted. this means that it's a detection issue with Intel HD Graphics on the first boot.
In Linux, i915 is able to run both displays properly, it is Windows that has the issue except with the combination of the Windows 8.1 driver and the disable/re-enable workaround. CoolStar wish he could've fixed the driver himself but it's closed source so unfortunately that's not an option :/ (CoolStar have experience with writing Windows drivers and have done so to get the other parts of this system working)
CoolStar have looked through all the intel documentation and fixed up the coreboot bios and checked the options set in the video bios (version 2170 HSW) and it seems fine and the display does work properly until the Intel HD Graphics driver is loaded.
I have attached the relevant diagnostic information from the Intel HD Graphics although the Intel HD Graphics report is in the "working state" with the older driver + workaround as the control panel crashes when the driver can't detect a monitor connected.

Celeron Processor with Intel HD Graphics - Overscan problem
I just bought a mini pc which has a Celeron N2930 processor with Intel HD Graphics. When I connect it to my HDTV with the HDMI cable, I am seeing the overscan issue - Windows desktop is too big and the 4 edges get cut off by the TV screen. I have seen lots of reports on this issue but I just could not find any solution.
Here are some more details about my setup:
Mini PC:
ZOTAC ZBOX CI320 nano Plus Windows 8.1 (64-bits)
Graphics driver (the latest I could fine from the Intel Web site):
Version: 15.33.36.64.4226 (Latest) Date: 06/05/2015
On the Display Settings of the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel, there is only one option for Scaling which is "Maintain Display Scaling". For Resolution, there is no option to set custom resolution. In fact there is not much I can change on the Control Panel for all the other parameters.
I have also tried changing the settings on the TV like aspect ratio, but no luck
Any other suggestions.
Lightroom 'blue box': no hardware acceleration with video card
Hi, I recently purchased a Skylake processor: i5 6600 with the HD Graphics 530 gpu.
Lightroom has the option of using hardware acceleration and it needs at least OpenGL 3.3
As far as I know and what downloading the latest driver tells me, I have OpenGL 4.3
Reading the release notes of the driver, shows me some issues with other photo software, but noting with Lightroom, so I though perhaps it hasn't been noticed until now (something I cannot imagine).
Anyway, I couldn't find others with the same problem.
I'll attach the Lightroom-readings of the machine (not completely correct I think). I was mostly struck by the last few lines:
Build: Uninitialized
Direct2DEnabled: false
GPUDevice: not available
I downloaded the latest driver for the gpu:
https://downloadmirror.intel.com/25150/eng/ReleaseNotes_GFX_15%2040%204%2064%204256_8_5_15_Win10.pdf
I can imagine the solution should come from the Adobe-side, but you never know
Redefine/calibrate display borders to avoid dead pixels in Intel graphics control panel
Hi! The rightmost 10% of my Laptop's display is broken; dead pixels top to bottom. Therefore, I want to reduce my resolution from 1600x900 to 1440x900 and display this on the leftmost (working) 90% of my screen. Reducing the resolution is easy, but the resulting image is automatically centered on my display (the left- and rightmost 5% of my screen are black bars). I need to somehow slide this
image to the right so that all unused pixels with the reduced resolution are on the right (coinciding with the broken section of my screen). I'm looking for an option to do so in the Intel graphics control panel. I know Nvidia and Radeon's control panels have such a feature, but I cannot find it in the Intel graphics control panel. Thanks in advance!

Using NV12 video output during video decoding, drops performance a lot with Intel's GPUs
Hello.
I've recently found out a big performance drop when using NV12 video output with EVR/EVR-CP renderers and Intel's GPUs.
I have done some performance tests using DXVA Checker v3.9.0 on a Win 10 x64 system using Core i7-4790 and Intel's iGPU HD4600 with latest drivers v.4279.
As video decoder, I used LAV filters 0.66.31, which is the default video decoder for many Video Players, like MPC-HC.
The test clip is here, a small video sample from YouTube:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/o0oe5t
It's a 4K60fps VP9 clip.
Results:
Decode - Renderless mode (No renderer)
Video output min fps/ average fps/ max fps
NV12/YV12 83 fps/112 fps/175 fps CPU usage 72%
Both NV12 and YV12 have the same performance.
Playback - Vanilla EVR (scale to 1280 x 720)
Video output min fps/ average fps/ max fps
YV12 79 fps/100 fps/139 fps CPU usage 73%
NV12 65 fps/74 fps/86 fps CPU usage 52%
The numbers represent min fps/average fps/max fps of the whole decoding process.
It is clear that using a renderless mode, in pure decoding, NV12 and YV12 have exactly the same performance.
BUT during real playback, using EVR renderer, the performance drop of NV12 is more than clear compared to YV12 along with the CPU usage.
There is a bottleneck somewhere in the driver that prevents GPU and CPU to reach maximum speed.
And because NV12 is the default, quality video output format for many video decoders like LAV filters and the preferred output even for HW acceleration of Microsoft's DXVA, I think is urgent to do something about it and increase the performance of that video output.
Waiting for your feedback.

5554898 Forced 1080i in some DX11 games is causing screen flicker.
Hey Folks,
When loading DX11 games in full-screen at 1920x1080, the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel sometimes forcefully changes the video output to 60i Hz from 60p Hz. As a result, it causes horrible screen flicker. Changing the game to run in windowed mode returns it to 60p Hz and removes the flicker, as does changing the resolution from 1920x1080 to something else. This is only noticeable on the SECOND screen, which is a plug 'n play standard 1080p monitor.
PC Specification:
Graphics: GTX 880m (running driver 337.50 beta - no alternative version available yet) & Intel HD 4600 integrated (running latest drivers).
CPU: Intel i7 4910MQ 2.90 GHz.
RAM: 16GB DDR3.
2nd Monitor: 24" 1080p LED screen operating at 60Hz connected via DisplayPort -> HDMI (though HDMI -> HDMI makes no difference).
OS: Windows 7 Pro SP1.
Why would the Intel drivers be automatically forcing my resolution to 1080 interlaced when the monitor can (and does) support 1080 progressive in every other context?
Thanks.
Audio resolution problem with HD530 and i5 6600K
This deals with Intel Display Audio Driver. If it is in the wrong place, please advise.
I built a HTPC with a Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7 motherboard with HD530 and an Intel Skylake i5 6600K cpu. 64-bit. The motherboard complies with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2.
I downloaded and installed the newest Intel HD Graphics driver version 15.40.7.4279 (Intel® Iris™, Iris™ Pro, and HD Graphics Production Driver for Windows® 7, 8.1, & 10)
In Advanced Properties under my DENON-HDAVR playback sound device, the '24-bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality)' default format did not show up in Windows 8.1, 64-bit Pro. But it does show up in Windows 7 64-bit Pro.
The Intel HD Graphics zip file contains two folders under the 'DisplayAudio' folder. One is entitled "6.16" and the other is "8.20". The 8.20 version is automatically chosen and installed (the Intel Display Audio properties states version 8.20.0.541). I just discovered that when I force the "6.16" .inf file to install, the missing resolution is listed. While installing the 6.16 version, an "Update Driver Warning" is displayed stating the driver is not recommended.
I have switched back and forth between the two versions and 8.20 never displays the 24-bit, 192000 Hz resolution and the 6.16 version always does.
Does this indicate a problem with the Intel driver selection process for this motherboard?
As information, I initially installed the drivers that came with the motherboard. I later updated those drivers with the drivers on the Gigabyte site. The aforementioned resolution was missing in both cases within Windows 8.1.
Thank you.
Updating HD 4500 Driver result in black screen
I was updating Intel HD 4500 graphics card on my laptop running Windows 10, using 3rd party software. At half way my screen blacked out, and lit up again after switching it on and off (integrated function of my computer). But the whole screen turned red, looks like the green and blue channel had been shut off. Then I uninstalled the card driver but failed to replace it with a previous one (because rolling back cannot be selected).
After the first reboot, it started up normally without any problem and the display restored. But after the second reboot, nothing appeared after the BIOS screen, except for the mouse pointer. I tried several times and it persists.
Then I opened up Recovery Environment by force shutting off computer several times. I didn't have any system checkpoints, nor recovery images. I could use the command prompt mode and no file system damage has been detected. Safe mode cannot be booted up either - whenever I select the safe mode and reboot, it's black screen.
There is another option in Recovery Environment that switches to low display definition and then startup. It also didn't make any sense to me. I knew that Windows 7 and earlier versions are capable of loading the "latest correct configuration" at the Safe Mode menu, but I couldn't find it in Windows 10.
I think the hardware aren't being damaged because Windows Recovery Environment and command prompt environment all have correct color and perfect definition, and the screen worked very well after the first reboot. So do I have any chances to fix it without having to reinstall Windows? I've also found an option in Recovery which resets the computer but keeping all "personal files". Does these "files" include Desktop, my User Folder, and Program Files folder?

Feature Request - implement EDID override
Hello,
it would be nice if the Intel Graphics driver would support overriding EDID information like described in this document from Microsoft:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg487330
Why is this needed?
In a common HTPC (multimedia PC) setup with a PC, AVR (audio video receiver) and a television, the EDID information stored in the receiver & television that is passed to the PC determines the video and audio capabilities like: supported resolutions, supported audio formats etc ..
The problem is that very often the system only "sees" the EDID information of the television, and not that of the receiver, and so you don't get support for audio formats like DTS, DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD that are supported by the receiver ...
The latest Sandy bridge CPU and corresponding chipset support all these sound standards, but they often not useable cause of these EDID problems.
Actually it really does not matter what video card / integrated graphics you use, NVidia and AMD graphics have the same problem, but their drivers
allows people to override the EDID information like is described in the above linked document from Microsoft.
Please implement this stuff, shouldn't be that hard to do, for one of you senior driver programmers it's probably just a few hours of work ...
Thank you
Christian
