Hello, Where I can find the pdbs for intel drivers on windows 10? I am porting here one small example from dx11 to dx12 when i run it i get this crash. Unhandled exception at 0x00007FFD5D57053B (igdusc64.dll) in Shadows.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000000000038. Supplying the pdbs will be very useful for discovering the reason. Now the only thing that i can deduce is that somebody is accessing a null pointer. HD 4000 HDMI - AV-Receiver power on will resume PC & standby is prevented

$

Hi,

My HTPC (Windows 7 - 64Bit - Home Premium) connected via HDMI to an AV-Receiver Onkyo TX-NR818 will resume from standby / hybernate if I switch on the AV-Receiver.

This didn't happen with a nvidia graphic card on the old system.

I disabled the following hdmi options in the AV-receiver settings already:

hdmi control (RIHD) - also known as HDMI CEC

     ARC (Audio Return Channel)

     Pass Through

On the other hand: If the receiver is connected to the PC via HDMI the PC will never go to standby or hybernate. Disconnecting the receiver from HDMI will allow the PC to go to sleep state after time set in the Windows options.

By the way: Onkyo is stating that it's not an issue of the receiver. But I believe that not at all, because the data exchange on the HDMI connection must cause this issue.

1. Is there any option in the driver or ... to disable this functionality?

2. Is a tool available to log the HDMI data transfer in the driver?

Thanks for any ideas or solutions in advance

Windows 10 Intel HD Control panel blank pages

Hi,
I have MSI GS60 laptop with Intel HD and a discrete NVidia GTX 870. I just upgraded to windows 10. Now, after the upgrade (which also upgraded Intel HD), I can open the graphics control panel but most of the pages are blank. I can not change any settings.
Except for control panel, everything else is working fine but I need to change the color quantization range because I connect my monitor via HDMI and I need full RGB range and good quality.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still no lock.

+ If anyone knows how to temporarily fix color quantization range ( e.g. via registry) I would appreciate any help
Thanks

Official Black-screen thread - We need your help!

Hello Graphics Communities!

For a very long time now we've been trying to track down, diagnose, and correct an issue that seems to be happening all across the board with Intel® Graphics.  Users, for various reasons - seem to have issues with OEM systems (and Intel® NUC's) losing their display for different events.

  • Installing new drivers
  • Rebooting
  • Computers idling, going into sleep or hibernation
  • Other random events

We have run into a stumbling block in fixing this issue, and that is that we are unable to reproduce the symptoms above.  We have ordered exact-matching systems, displays and cables - and matched our configurations to those of the users having problems, and we are completely unable to reproduce the problem.  The issue is complex, but in this particular case - it stems from the fact that two users with the same configuration are not guaranteed to have the problem, it varies from user to user, system to system, display to display.

What we at Intel® are asking now though is 2-fold.  If you are one of these users (or a business) experiencing a consistent black-screening issue as mentioned above, we would like to procure your COMPLETE system configuration.  This means, we want you to ship us (at our expense) - the System (desktop or laptop), display (TV, monitor) AND the cable (hdmi, dp, dvi, vga) used by your system when it starts to have a blackscreen failure.  If you are willing to do this, you should be aware that we will keep your system for an extended period, and will compensate you by replacing your setup.

NOW!  Even if you are not willing to send us your system, and would just like to inform us that you have a black-screen issue.  That is okay too. Even if you have already submitted this info in some of our other black-screen threads, feel free to submit it here too.  Please submit the following information into this thread so that we can continue to document all possible instances of it.  Just copy and paste the below list and put in relevant information (completely!).  *NOTE* If you have not already done so, please update your BIOS and Display Driver to the latest version available.  We cannot accept a report of a failing configuration that is not up to date.  Additionally, if you are running your display through a 3rd party device such as a projector or an AV/R (receiver), you need to show that the problem still occurs without the extra device connected (a direct connection from system to display is required).

Are you willing to send your system to us? (Yes/No)
Is your system a laptop or desktop?
If desktop, is it custom built, or manufactured?
If desktop, what is the make/model of your motherboard?
What is the make/model of your system? (COMPLETE model name required)
What is the model of your CPU?
What is the make/model of your failing display(s)?
If laptop, is your built-in display failing? (Yes/No)
What is your operating system?
Is it a 64-bit or 32-bit operating system?
What display driver version do you have installed?
What type of connection are you using? (HDMI, VGA, DP, DVI?)
What happens that results in the blackscreen failure?

Any/all information is valuable.

Thank you for your information & cooperation!

"Intel HD Graphics 4600 Driver for Windows 8 has stopped working" on Windows 10?

I'm a bit curious about this message. I ran 3DMark and did some test. Every time the test end, the driver will stop working and this message appears: "Intel HD Graphics 4600 Driver for Windows 8 has stopped working ....". I'm using Windows 10 and the driver I installed was made for Windows 10 so why it appears this?

Hi,

I havea laptop AsusK450JFwitha graphicIntelHDGraphics4600andNVIDIA GeForceGT745M.

You never gaveme any troubleon Windows8.1.NowI installedWindows 10and installedthe latestdriver fromintel. But nowI havegraphicsproblems.Inmy laptop monitorit getswithcolors reversedandshaking.

If you connect an external monitor to my laptop computer VGA port, it works well and the colors are good. Only happens on own laptop monitor.

I have done downgrade to 8.1 and to install the drivers it works fine , and then I went back to format my laptop  and go to the Windows 10 and the problem reappears.

In attached the print-1 show the image between the external monitor and the monitor of my laptop computer. The above is the external monitor with accurate color, the lower the native Laptop with colors reversed.

Description

Provide a detailed description of the issue AND 'does it fail every single time, or only sometimes?' If you can offer a % rate please do.

When trying to run certain games, certain games in full screen, or just at random points in certain games, this error occurs. For example, trying to run Final Fantasy 7 steam edition in full screen is a 100% failure rate after going past the title screen to the file selection screen. This used to be a Video_TDR_failure igdkmd64.sys

forcing my computer to restart, but ever since I updated my graphics driver to version 15.40.7.4279, it has been this other error that just locks up the game.

100% failure rate when trying to start The Last Remnant, regardless of full screen or windowed mode.

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" pops up in the corner a few times until finally

"Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware." appears and I have to use task manager to end the program. (Screenshot of the first message is attached. Why does it say Windows 8r? I don't understand)

Games where this error occurs seemingly at random is Never Alone and Castle Crashers.

Never Alone will crash 8/10 times I play it, but at completely different times.

Castle Crashers has done it once, but I have no idea how to replicate the issue.

Super Meat Boy has also had this issue.

Some video players have also given me this error.

How to repro

Please provide steps to replicate the issue.  These steps are very crucial to finding the root cause and fix.

A screenshot to illustrate the issue is a huge plus. A video of the failure is even better! Attach to the post or provide the YouTube link.

1. Run Final Fantasy 7 in full screen mode (attached screen shot)

2. Progress past title screen, into File select screen

3. Display driver stopped responding and has recovered

4. Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware

or

1. Run The Last Remnant

2. Display driver stopped responding and has recovered

3. Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware

This is the only way I can give steps to replicate the issue. There are other games that will cause the computer to give that error as well, but at different times. This is the consistent way to show the error.

Things I have tried; reinstalling the games that are giving me trouble since the windows 10 upgrade, uninstalling my graphics driver, then installing the most current graphics driver compatible, uninstalling then reinstalling the driver that HP offers for this computer (an older version of the most current graphics driver), and by the suggestion of one of the people I have contacted through support, reinstalling the "Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver" and the "Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver."

*Workaround found; Turn off Conservative Morphological Anti-Aliasing in the 3D menu of the Intel HD Graphics panel. This is said to lower FPS unfortunately. Better than not playing the game at all I suppose.*

Lod Adjustment on Intel HD Graphics 4000+

$

Hello,

I own a laptop which has a i7-4500 CPU and a Intel HD 4400 graphics chip.

On every ATI/NVIDIA grahpics card you can adjust the Lod Bias (texture filtering) either by editing your registry or using a third party program.

As you know having a laptop with Intel HD 4400 doesn't really do that fantastic when it comes to FPS in most new games. However changing the texture filtering might increase the FPS (but obviously lowering heavily the quality).

I cannot seem to find anywhere on the web on how to change the Lod Bias on the Intel HD graphics. Can anyone help me out here?

A third party program or instructions to change it via regedit are welcome.

Best Regards

Windows 10, Intel HD 2500 driver (VDDM 1.3) not working for old games

$

Hello to Everyone ,

To my PC: All in One C540, Intel Pentium 3.00GHz, 4.00 GB RAM, Integrated Graphic Card Intel HD 2500, HDD 500 GB

I haven't any problems with all OpenGL games on my PC with Windows 7 (x64) with installed DirectX 9c. Everything is OK, but after update to Windows 10 (W10) more than 90% games are crashed, after first run is black sreen (W10 detects a message, W10stopped working for this app... no code for message ). I have a new driver for Intel HD 2500 (vddm 1.3) and there is not idea how to solve it. When I used old driver (9.17.10.2963 dated on 16.1.2013 - vddm 1.2), everything is also OK, but problem is with automatic updates which I need for my PC safety... almost everytimethedriver ischanged tothe new.

Is there any possibility to included to the new driver something what was ok for old drive (vddm 1.2)? or any idea how to solve everyday problem with graphic card driver? Now I am switching of autoupdates for W10, but it's not so good for my safety...

Many thanks for your help.

[New Driver][Windows 8.1/10] Nvidia + Intel

Hello. Currently i have setup Nvidia gtx760 with a intel HD4600 from my i7 both enabled. I use my nvidia for gameing and just have the intel enabled for quicksync. Currently with the drivers windows 8.1 comes with for intel HD 4600 this setup works fine. However when ever i try to update the driver for it it creates a new display for the HD4600 and set it as the primary causeing the computer to become unusable as all my program windows and what not show up on this new primary display which doesnt even have a monitor attached (no display connected to the motherboard). Since i only use the intel for quicksync updateing driver isnt too important however only the newer drivers are avalable in windows 10 makeing this setup impossible there. I could go out and buy a hdmi cable (only port on motherboad) and then resetup the display however this obviously isnt ideal.

Basicly what happens is.

Before updated driver:

one display powered by nvidia

After updated driver:

one display powered by intel set primary | one display powered by nvidia

In both cases only 1 display is connected and is connected to the nvidia card.

Hello,

Having upgraded to windows 10 about a month ago, I have recently (last week or so) experienced problems with my graphics driver not having openGL support. I have done a lot of research and have been unable to resolve this problem. Any suggestions? I have a Core i3 2348M and Intel HD Graphics 3000.
