Intel HD 3000 driver (i7-2640m) no OpenGL 3.3 and OpenCL 1.2 CPU runtime support

$

I have a i7-2640m CPU on my laptop with Integrated Graphics Display (IGD) intel HD 3000. I am on windows 8.0 x64.

I am opening this thread because I feel that intel has forgot about supporting the intel HD 3000 owners with 2 newer version APIs These being OpenGL 3.3 support and OpenCL 1.2 support (CPU)

1. I am desperately trying to find OpenCL 1.2 CPU runtime support.

I have tried this runtime but my graphics card is not supported. intel_sdk_for_ocl_applications_2013_r3_x64_setup.exe

Can intel produce a compatible intel sdk for ocl aplications runtime x64 for intel HD 3000 (CPU support)???????? Currently the OpenCL supported version (CPU) is 1.1

2. I also feel that intel has forgot to add some missing features in order to fully support OpenGL 3.3 (and 3.2).

The hardware can support upto OpenGL 3.3. The driver is currently supporting 3.1 Can you please update the graphics card driver

PLEASE intel HELPPPP. I need the intel HD 3000 driver to have latest supported API versions. OpenCL 1.2 (CPU) and OpenGL 3.3 support

Scaling and Custom Resolutions Celeron J1900

$

I have a Celeron J1900 based PC and I am trying to get the HD Graphics set up and have encountered some problems.

My TV has a Philips 21:9 widescreen format that requires a lower resolution (1920 x 960 'ish) input from the PC to avoid over scanning and losing the start menus etc.

Having installed Win8.1 (update) and all the latest drivers and windows updates I still can't access the custom resolution options for the intel HD drivers.

The control panel looks massively crippled and the scaling option is just missing the slider altogether.

I have also tried using the standalone utility CustomModeApp.exe and CustomModeAppv2.exe which just refuse to start.

I also tried a utility from "Clever Technologies" to inject a custom resolution into the Registry but can't select it from the driver.

I have installed a number of driver versions (removing and deleting all previous drivers first) all with the same outcome.

I see a lot of similar but different issues in the Forum but no solution to this particular issue of not being able to see the scaling slider or running the utility.

Any suggestions on how to create a 1920 x 960 resolution?

Official Black-screen thread - We need your help!

Hello Graphics Communities!

For a very long time now we've been trying to track down, diagnose, and correct an issue that seems to be happening all across the board with Intel® Graphics.  Users, for various reasons - seem to have issues with OEM systems (and Intel® NUC's) losing their display for different events.

  • Installing new drivers
  • Rebooting
  • Computers idling, going into sleep or hibernation
  • Other random events

We have run into a stumbling block in fixing this issue, and that is that we are unable to reproduce the symptoms above.  We have ordered exact-matching systems, displays and cables - and matched our configurations to those of the users having problems, and we are completely unable to reproduce the problem.  The issue is complex, but in this particular case - it stems from the fact that two users with the same configuration are not guaranteed to have the problem, it varies from user to user, system to system, display to display.

What we at Intel® are asking now though is 2-fold.  If you are one of these users (or a business) experiencing a consistent black-screening issue as mentioned above, we would like to procure your COMPLETE system configuration.  This means, we want you to ship us (at our expense) - the System (desktop or laptop), display (TV, monitor) AND the cable (hdmi, dp, dvi, vga) used by your system when it starts to have a blackscreen failure.  If you are willing to do this, you should be aware that we will keep your system for an extended period, and will compensate you by replacing your setup.

NOW!  Even if you are not willing to send us your system, and would just like to inform us that you have a black-screen issue.  That is okay too. Even if you have already submitted this info in some of our other black-screen threads, feel free to submit it here too.  Please submit the following information into this thread so that we can continue to document all possible instances of it.  Just copy and paste the below list and put in relevant information (completely!).  *NOTE* If you have not already done so, please update your BIOS and Display Driver to the latest version available.  We cannot accept a report of a failing configuration that is not up to date.  Additionally, if you are running your display through a 3rd party device such as a projector or an AV/R (receiver), you need to show that the problem still occurs without the extra device connected (a direct connection from system to display is required).

Are you willing to send your system to us? (Yes/No)
Is your system a laptop or desktop?
If desktop, is it custom built, or manufactured?
If desktop, what is the make/model of your motherboard?
What is the make/model of your system? (COMPLETE model name required)
What is the model of your CPU?
What is the make/model of your failing display(s)?
If laptop, is your built-in display failing? (Yes/No)
What is your operating system?
Is it a 64-bit or 32-bit operating system?
What display driver version do you have installed?
What type of connection are you using? (HDMI, VGA, DP, DVI?)
What happens that results in the blackscreen failure?

Any/all information is valuable.

Thank you for your information & cooperation!

Hello

When I press play on Minecraft it says:

Lack of updated graphics drivers

We're sorry, but it seems there was an error while trying to render aspects of the game.

To solve this error, it is recommended that you update your graphics drivers.

I was trying to fix this problem for hours but I can't

I have windows 10, Intel(R) HD Graphics

and I get this crash report:

Intel has just launched a brand new Web page called Gameplay.intel.com which provides lab tested in-game optimizations to improve the experience on Intel Graphics. When you install a new game on an Intel Graphics-only system, the experience may not be as great as it could be. Specifically, you may be able to dial up the frame rate and details or even play a game you did not think possible. With the in-game optimizations, the gaming experience on Intel Graphics will be improved. It is Intel’s goal to improve opportunities for gamers to find optimizations to enable better gameplay.

We hope you enjoy it!

Here is an image of what I get when I look at the 3D control panel. Any ideas of what the problem could be?

Issue intel.png

Specs:

Thinkpad T450s

OS: Windows 10 64-bit

CPU: Intel i7 5500U

GPU: Intel HD graphics 5500

I looked around on some forums and found that it could be because of the drivers not being updated, but everytime I try downloading the latest drivers from Lenovo support, I get a driver date to 7/17/2015 with version 10.18.15.4256, but the 3D panel is still blank.

Desktop Icons Auto Align Left When Hdmi Cable Connected

$

Hi,

Whenever I connect my laptop to the TV via hdmi cable my desktop icons are moved into vertical columns down the left hand side of the screen and remain when I unplug, so I have to drag them back to where I want each time. It's a fairly minor nuisance but ideally I'm looking for a way to avoid this. I've searched but can't find a definitive answer. I've tried; right clicking and unchecking 'align icons to grid' but that doesn't make any difference, it still always happens.

Someone mentioned it's likely to do with resolution or scaling and the change happening when I connect the hdmi cable, and I might be able to sort it if I "set the hdmi output to the same as the screen", but I'm not sure how to do that.

I have Intel HD Graphics 530 and  I've poked around in graphics properties and options but as I say, I don't really know what I'm doing. It's all standard settings at the moment, so set to - Clone Displays.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I am having a problem with an app on my laptop. I have Coin Dozer app for both my laptop which is windows 10 and my Windows phone. The app works just fine on my phone but on my computer the game keeps locking up and I get the following error message.

$

The error message I get is - Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver Intel HD Graphics drivers for Windows 8 (r) stopped responding and has successfully recovered. I did go to intel drivers for updates but it said I already had the latest drivers. I have windows 10 so I am wondering why the error message mentions windows 8 (r). Every time this happens I have to close app and reopen it. The app can play fine for 15 to 30 min or it can freeze up every couple of minutes. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.

8159769 [SCALING BUG] Windows 10 / Intel HD Graphics 4600 - Impossible to get rid of 'Black Borders' problem - Stuck at 'Constrain proportions'

$

=== Device/Software information ===

32 GB DDR3L-1600 G-Skill RipJaws,

Intel Core i7-4710MQ

Intel HD Graphics 4600

Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M 4GB GDDR5

128 GB Samsung SSD (Boot)

1 TB Samsung Evo 850 (Games)

1 TB Hitachi HDD (Data)

Driver Version: 15.40.4.64.4256

OS Version: Windows 10 Educational

=== Problem Description ===

No matter what settings you choose for your display in Intel HD Graphics Control Panel -> Display -> Basic -> Scaling,

When you launch a fullscreen application the setting will be ignored and it will revert back to 'constrain propostions' when enabling fullscreen, then when you alt-tab to desktop it will go back to your selected mode, then you alt tab to game and it will go back to proportions setting again, making it impossible to get rid of the black borders.

The setting only is applicable in Windows 10 Desktop, doesn't work for fullscreen apps.

It worked good in Windows 8.1, I just upgraded from 8.1 to 10.

In windows 8.1 I could game on any resolution without black borders - a nice, full, filled screen.

I think I have the same issue as the sir here: Inter HD Graphics Scaling Games after Windows 10 upgrade

Please fix this ASAP or suggest steps to fix.

Problem does not happen without drivers (Driverless) -> Games run in full screen / fill screen mode at any resolution (so this is not a Windows bug).

Intel® HD Graphics 4600 card stops responding.

I am constantly getting the error message: "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered."  This started after I upgraded to Windows 10. (why does the error message say Windows 8?) My graphics card Intel® HD Graphics 4600.   I've gone through the discussions here and it seems like this is a common problem. I've tried the other suggestions that have been provided and nothing is working.  I've uninstalled the driver and had windows reinstall for me.  That didn't work. I was unable to download any other drivers, either from Intel or from my PC's manufacturer (i tried Intel Gfx driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Desktop) no matter what i try i get the message 'the driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer" and it provides a link back to Intel. This happens no matter where i try to get my driver from.

My PC is: 530 Desktop (Lenovo)

Please advise.  I am currently unable to play WOW, which may not seem like a big deal, but when you pay for a yearly subscription and it gets wasted, it is annoying. In working with their technical support, they indicated that this is a common problem now "we have started to see a large spike in users with an Intel(R) HD Graphics GPU report crashing with World of Warcraft. This issue appears to have come from 4000 Series drivers."

Hi:

I have updated my computer in September 2015 to windows 10. And since then, my screen resolution cannot go higher then 1280X1024

I keep checking the updates, and nothing yet. I am losing 30% of my screen due to that resolution.

Anyone knows when Intel will release an update to Windows 10 so it can recognise the processor and graphic controller listed in the subject?

Or does anyone know a compatible driver that will work with windows 10?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Vincent

is not updated and is the same version it was before.

Help?

EDIT: tried to do it manually, does not meet the minimum requirements? Though my pc does.

EDIT2: taken care of that one, but its still stuck on 10.18.10.4276 after trying to install it to 15.33.38.64.1252?

Computer is Dell M3800 w i7 & Intel 4600, 16GRAM, 256SSD.

Computer also has nVIDIA driver that can be selectively used.  I rarely use it - default is the 4600 card.

I use Dell 3000 USB docking station that uses DisplayLink for multiple monitor support.  I get the error whether I'm docked or not.

No problems in Windows 7

Upgraded to Windows 10.

*** Problem:  System 'freezes' then I get a notification that the display driver has stopped and then recovered. ***  This happens randomly with a frequency about every hour or so.

Upgraded driver through Dell Website (along with BIOS and other drivers).  Problem still exists.

Upgraded driver through Device Manager.  Problem still exists.

Downloaded latest drivers from Intel website.  Uninstalled the previously installed driver.  Installed the Intel driver.  Install warns that the driver is older than the existing drivers.  I installed anyway.  Problem still exists.

Download Intel® Iris™, Iris™ Pro, and HD Graphics Production Driver for Windows® 10 64-bit

Upgraded driver through Device Manager.  Problem still exists.

Please tell me you have a solution to this.  I've looked at other forum entries for this and haven't seen a definitive solution.  I'm about to revert back to Windows 7.

Thanks!
