Lenovo v470 - Intel Graphics Drivers Issue

$

0

I'm having display issues with my v470 laptop when I install Intel Graphics drivers. After few mins of using the laptop, the display gets distorted and locks up the laptop. I have to power off the laptop every time. I tried installing the Intel Onbroad Graphics drivers that's available from Lenovo's website. I also try install the latest Intel HD Graphics 3000 drivers from Intel website.

I ran memtest successfully without any errors.

The odd part is whenever I uninstall the Intel Graphics drivers the issue goes away.

This is how the display looks - http://s17.postimg.org/a5pxr5uvj/IMG_0056.jpg

i5 2410M

8 gigs RAM

Win 7 Ultimate x64

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Help! Black Screen of Death on Windows 10

$

0

About 3 weeks ago I reinstall Windows 10 64-bit on my Dell Inspiron 14 5447 laptop. Things worked pretty well before I did that but I wanted a clean start. With the exception of the Realtek SD card reader driver, I used only drivers that were supplied by Windows update.

Well I found out that I was getting intermittent black screens of death after waking my computer from sleep. After much research I installed 9.5.21.1754 of the IEMI driver from Dell's support page for this laptop and it fixed the problem and life was good. At this point the Intel video driver was 10.18.15.4256.

Well a few days ago the video driver got updated to 20.19.15.4331 and I am getting black screens of death after a restart (but not a shutdown followed by a power on). After this black screen of death I have to hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and have it reboot. The only way that I can consistently get it to start after doing a restart is to keep hitting a key on the keyboard. What is going on with this?

I've tried the Dell driver for this computer, 10.18.15.4278 with the same bad results.

This is a Haswell processor with Intel HD Graphics 4400.

Is there any fix for this?

Thanks,

Mike

I have a Dell N7010 and every time it wakes from screensaver or sleep I get a message about the Intel graphics accelerator recovering.

This model Dell wasn't tested for Windows 10. Has anyone found a solution to this problem. Maybe a compatible driver?

This is a 1st gen Intel core i3 processor. The Dell website for this tag # does not list any Intel driver for this model just

a Radeon driver(strange)..

Any suggestions can be directed to my email @ spokanevalleypc@gmail.com

Description

Provide a detailed description of the issue AND 'does it fail every single time, or only sometimes?' If you can offer a % rate please do.

1. 3D Blu ray playback is broken 95%. Every time I try to view a movie (frame packing), one frame lags behind the other and creates an unwatchable, "water-like" effect. On occasion this can be corrected by pausing the movie for a few seconds, but it is not a consistent fix at all. I reported this to you months ago and it has yet to appear as an unresolved issue in release notes.

2. Video files and Blu Ray movies will drop a frame about every 4 minutes 100% of the time. This always happens, with or without the helper app Reclock. With an nVidia GPU, this issue was fully resolved with Reclock.

3D video issue

1. Load any 3D blu ray movie via PowerDVD 15

2. Watch video. Distortions are immediately evident (passive 3D viewing).

Note: I will add a video to this report to try and show the distortion, but it really needs to be seen with passive 3D glasses to fully understand the error.

Dropped video frames

1. Load an mp4, mpg or mkv into a Windows player. I have used MPC-HC, MediaPortal 1.12 and PowerDVD 15

2. Wait a few minutes and you'll see the drop.

It difficult to determine if the anomaly is a doubled frame or a dropped frame.

Graphics issue with HP Pavilion 15

Hi

Was just wondering if anyone has any solutions to an issue i have been having.

I got my HP Pavilion 15 at Christmas and updated it to Windows 10 and have been having issues with graphics, When i power down the laptop or the battery runs out of power and i start the machine it boots normally until it gets to the login screen when the screen will go black and the brightness keys on the keyboard work the opposite from what they are meant to ie brightness up puts the brightness down and vice versa and the only fix to this i have found is to disable "fast boot" or go into device manager and disable and enable the driver again.

Graphics (According the the Intel system identification utility) are Intel HD Graphics 4600 and its an Intel Pentium prosesor

Thanks in advance

Intel HD Audio not working properly with latest drivers for Intel Graphics 530 for 6th Gen Processors

Ever since the release of Windows 10 1511, the drivers for Intel HD Audio for Graphics 530 for 6th Gen Processors has not been working properly. I am using an ASUS Z170-DELUXE board connected to a Samsung TV via HDMI. The graphics output is fine but not the audio to the TV. This has been happening for the last few releases of the drivers. The problem is especially present when using text-to-speech. 50% of the time, there is no sound.

ArmA 3: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED seems driver related

$

0

Hello,

Ever since ArmA 3 was released as an alpha back in March, it plagued me (and quite a few others) with these apparently random DirectX 11 crashes (either freezing or CTD):

"D3D Error - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED"

"Display Driver Stopped Responding and has recovered."

A few days ago I, acting on a hunch, installed an old driver (15.28.7.64.2867) from October(?) 2012 and was able to play the game without any crashes in area's/maps that were unplayable before.

Working my way up (I have some, but not all drivers released) I found that the drivers up to 9.17.10.2932 (December 2012) perform flawlessly, while 9.18.10.3071 (March 2013) and later tend to suffer from this issue.

So while installing the latest drivers is recommended as a starting point for every glitch, in this case it is not going to get you anywhere: it seems that every iteration has inherited a flaw that was introduced somewhere during that period (December 2012 - March 2013).

I hope this in some way helps you to tackle this issue, and allows me to have my graphics driver up to date in the near future...

These 'tests' were performed, ceteris paribus, on this machine:

Intel i7-3770K@3500|3900 (HD 4000@1150)

MSi Z77A-GD65 (UEFI: 10.11ß)

32GB Corsair Vengeance@1600

Windows 8.1_x64

All drivers were up to date.

I uninstalled my Intel HD graphics adapter, thinking it was interfering with my AMD Radeon graphic card. It wasn't. Now You Tube videos take 10 seconds to load. I removed my CMOS battery for an hour, hoping to reset the BIOS, but there is no mention of graphics at all in my ASUS BIOS. i want the integrated graphics card back.

Also, I downloaded the latest Intel graphics drivers, but they will not install. "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software. win64_153336.

7" Table with Intel HD Graphics forces all desktop windows to maximize. How to turn off this feature.

I have a 7" windows tablet that has a Intel HD Graphics chip  (1280x800 resolution).  The tablet will maximize all desktop program when using the tablet screen but when using HDMI output it will open them without forced maximization. I also have a 8" inch tablet with the same hardware specs that does not exhibit this issue.  It seems to be related to the Intel HD graphics driver and a screen of 7" inches. Is there a way to turn off this feature as maximizing the windows automatically causes issues with many programs.

Thanks.

Intel HD 4400 not clocking below 600MHz, what's wrong?

$

Greetings.

I just noticed that the integrated gpu from my i3-4005U won't run bellow 600MHz. Power saving options won't make it go slower nor unplugging the laptop from the wall.

If i chose "Maximum battery life" on the intel control panel, the frequency will be locked at 600MHz.

"Balanced mode" will put it at 600MHz when idle but increase the frequency to 950MHz (and others in between) when on load.

"Maximum Performance Mode" will make it run at 950MHz all the time.

This is also the same case if i change the power settings on windows (Win 8.1 64bit).

I do remember seeing lower values in the past like 300 something Mhz. I remember clearly that i could not run steam big picture in "Maximum battery life" because the slow 300MHz would make the GUI sluggish.

I'm currently running the latest drivers (15.36.28.4332). I don't know when this started happening because the last time i used GPU-Z was like a year ago and i already upgraded the gpu drivers several times since then.

Is this normal? My laptop is constantly plugged to the wall so it kinda doesn't matter but i'm going to start using it outside and i want it to last as long as possible.

Did something change on the drivers that made the 600MHz the slowest frequency?

Thanks.

Intel HD Graphics driver installs older driver than specified in driver description.

I'm trying to install the latest Intel Driver for 3rd Gen Core processors (version 15.33.42.4358), but the installer (which I am 100% sure is the correct one, for Win 7 64-bit) ends up installing version 10.18.10.4358. Is this intended? My idea for why this may be occurring is that the driver package recognizes, for whatever reason, my laptop is not compatible with the very latest version and defaults to the last known compatible driver that exists in the same package.

My system: Sager NP9150 (Clevo P150EM rebranded), Windows 7 64-bit, I7-3610QM, AMD HD 7970M, 16GB DDR3 RAM. This system uses AMD Switchable graphics technology (Enduro).

I need a 520 HD driver for my i5 6300U Surface Pro 4.  The graphics driver crashes Planetary Annihilation Titans (a game on Steam). I tried to install win64_154014.4352, but it would not install. Please help, thank you.

Intel Driver Update Utility no longer detects latest drivers, attempts to download latest graphics drivers failed

$

For quite a few months now, the Driver Update Utility on my laptop has stopped finding the latest drivers whenever I try to scan for them, forcing me to download them from Intel/HP themselves (although I've only done that with the wireless driver.) After the latest Windows 10 update, my games started running painfully slow, so I decided I'd go and try to see if there's a new driver, lo and behold there is, and it's quite a ways ahead of the one I currently have installed. I attempted to install it from Intel, but it states that I don't have the proper specifications for it (which I checked, I certainly do, as it was the same generation, and same bit.) After reading about manufacturers having certain, specialized drivers, I decided to go to HP to see if they had any drivers for it, which it said it did after detecting my system, but after attempting to install it, it told me that "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer. Setup will exit."

I really need help here. What do I do? My laptop is an HP ENVY 15-u010dx x360 Convertible PC (ENERGY STAR) if that helps at all.
