latest hd3000 drivers not WDDM1.3 for Windows 8.1 - DX10 assessment 0 in WEI

$

I have a notebook pc with Intel i7-2670QM processor which is equipped with HD3000 graphics. The WEI score in windows 8.1 64 bit shows:

<Dx10SubScore>0</Dx10SubScore>

meaning the tests for DX10 are skipped completely by winsat.

I have the latest hd3000 drivers for windows 8.1 and, by looking at dxdiag, turns out that the drivers is WDDM1.2 and not WDDM1.3 as required by Windows 8.1.

So I must conclude these drivers are not using the DX10 functionality under Windows 8.1 64.

Intel drivers are:

Intel(R) HD Graphic 4600's driver is crashing

$

Hello Intel Community,

I have an Asus notebook (laptop) that runs on a set of NVidia GTX 960M as well as Intel(R) HD Graphic 4600.

It's been almost from the start, I believe, that every now-and-then the screen freezes, and once it continues to work, I get a notification that Intel(R) HD Graphic 4600 has crashed and has been recovered. It hasn't bothered me much up until now, but when I tried to stream media from my browser to my Chromecast, it happened about six times in half a minute.

As soon as I got the computer I upgraded it to Windows 10 x64 from Windows 8.1, so I don't know if the driver's crashes has anything to do with Windows 10 upgrade or with something else. The driver's version is 10.18.15.4256.

I wanted to uninstall and reinstall the driver again, but I always found a version that's higher than my computer runs for the display adapter. The driver manager didn't find an update, so I was worried to install a higher version, that may be incompatible with my laptop. I even installed Intel Driver Update Utility, and no update for this driver was found.

What should I do? and can anyone explain to me how do I find the display driver that's compatible with my Asus pc?

It has been half a year since I initially reported this problem, and still no fix in sight...

There are some serious problems with all intel graphics drivers for HD 530. Many distortions in games mainly and some apps like android simulators as below.

My second problem is that graphics driver does not recognize the displayport well. when I connect my monitor via displayport it take 10-15 sec to recognize it and it works fine till it is on or standby. once I turn off the monitor it forget that it is already recognized it and when I turn on the monitor I have 10-15 sec no picture till it recognize it again and after recognizing it wont recognize monitor resolution and it takes 10 more sec to recognize it again. there is no such a problem for HDMI.

My monitor resolution is 3440x1440 and as you can see displayport does not recognize it correctly.

please fix this issue as soon as possible.

Thanks.

HD4600 UHD Displayport MST

Hi!

I have a Panasonic TX-65AXW804 UHD TV and I connected it via displayport to my pc.

The problem is that with UHD (3840x2160) resolution I can only select 60Hz. But the TV can also 24Hz and so on.

At 1920x1080 I can select all refresh modes but the TV stays black.

When I switch the displayport to SST on the TV side, I can select all modes correctly according to the specs:

All FullHD modes and UHD at 30Hz (maximum for single stream) and it works.

With older drivers, the PC show me the TV as 2 different Monitors.

So it looks like the driver dont detect the TV correctly in MST mode.

Installed the latest drivers.

Problem : screen sometimes becomes black for a moment up to a couple (could be 20) seconds.

Easily reproducible: Open EDGE (browser), open a youtube  clip, and while the clip is showing, scroll the page... screen goes black (sound of clip continues, so it's only a display problem)

I can't install newer drivers

Hi,

I tried installing this driver:

Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 7*, 8.1*,10 [15.33]

Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 7*, 8.1*,10 [15.33]

Version:15.33.42.4358 (Latest)Date:1/21/2016

I downloaded the exe but when i try to install it, i dont know why but it installs me an older driver, more exactly the version 10.18.10.4358
Even if i try using utility, same story, it downloads 15.33 but when i press install it is 10.18...

Intel HD Graphics 530 driver causing screen flickering

$

Dear Intel Support Team,

I have recently purchased a new laptop, a custom built X BOOK.

The laptop is fitted with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ quad-core and a  GeForce GTX 960M 2GB.

The graphics adapter is an Intel® HD Graphics 530.

The operating system is a Windows 10 Pro 64 bits.

I have a flickering screen problem that is very annoying, the screen keeps flashing on and off, even sometimes showing thin green horizontal lines and this doesn't

go away with a restart or a shutdown.

I disabled the adapter and everything worked fine.

I have the latest version of the driver for the 64 bit CPU architecture.

One thing worth mentioning, is that I didn't have the problem until I installed Visual Studio 2015 !!

I reset my operating system and everything was fine until I installed Visual Studio 2015 again.

Kindest Regards,

Ibrahim Najjar

Please update intel control panel to include shortcuts and hotkeys for graphic profiles.

I use an BT touchscreen tablet with overcrowded taskbar and small menu's compared to my fingers.

Shortcuts and/or hotkeys would vastly improve the user interface and eliminate unnecessary system redundancy.

Intel HD4600 (i5-4440 CPU) and Nvidia GTX750Ti drivers

$

Hello,

I currently only have the integrated GPU in my computer, the Intel HD4600 which is in the i5-4440 CPU, so I have the Intel HD Gprahics driver installed in Win7 x64.

But I am going to add a new discrete GPU - the nvidia GTX750Ti to my motherboard PCIE x16 v3.0 socket. (motherboard is: Asus H97-plus).

Now my first question is: Shoud I remove the Intel HD graphics drivers before installing th nvidia card? If I don't remove the intel drivers will it cause conficts with the nvidia card or is it OK to have both installed?

And my second question: When /if I reinstall Windows, should I even install the Intel HD graphics drivers or just install the discrete GPU drivers?

Thanks.

I have an Intel Processor I7 -4500 CPU @ 1.80GHZ and Intel HD Graphics 4000 Processor (Driver version 10.18.15.4279). My OS is Windows 10 64 bit and I use the highest resolution. For the last several months my laptop (Lenovo) screen flashes continuously, for now apparent reason, for a period of time until I touch the screen or change to table mode. I've updated the driver about a month ago in hopes it would fix the the problem but it hasn't. What's causing this issue?

Intel HD Graphics 530 driver for Windows 8.1 on Win10

Greetings Intel-friends : D

Unfortunately im having some Trouble on my Acer Aspire VN7-792G with

64-bit Windows 10 Home + Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor and Intel HD Graphics 530, Driver Version: 10.18.15.4279

According to http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005654.html this is a Driver for Windows 8.1.

That explains why the Driver crashes sometimes while simply browsing on Microsoft Edge.

So i'd like to uninstall / update the 8.1 Driver (whatever is neccesary) and get the proper Version for Windows 10.

But i really dont know how to do that so could you please help and give me some instructions??

Im pretty scared of trying to fix on my own and end up with a screwed brand new Notebook : /

Underscan issue on Intel 1080p laptop monitor. Need help!

Screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/xAtdl

I bought a new laptop for Christmas (Windows 10) and so I started using it on Christmas day. After a few minutes, I've noticed that the screen does not fill up the entire size of the actual LCD monitor built into the laptop!

The resolution is (and is set to) 1920x1080 but even at that resolution, it's only filling about 85% of the actual screen real-estate. So I have a thick black border around the whole screen.

The laptop has integrated Intel HD 6000 graphics. I checked extensively through the Intel Control Panel but couldn't fix the issue. Tried changing scaling in Windows 10 display settings, nothing. Tried changing resolution and refresh rates, nothing. Tried disabling the driver, nothing.

It's an Intel i5 Dell Inspiron laptop. I've tried to adjust a lot of settings but to no avail. What can I do? Thanks.

Acer C720 eDP Display Detection issue Windows 8.1/10 Intel HD Graphics

$

0

I have been having issues with the Intel HD Graphics driver not detecting the eDP Display properly on the Acer C720 with Windows 8.1/10.

With the Microsoft Basic Display Driver (no Intel HD Graphics Driver installed) the system works perfectly with both eDP and HDMI outputs working. However, when the Intel HD Graphics driver (any version) is installed the eDP stops working. When both eDP and HDMI out are connected, there's lines on both screens. With eDP disconnected and HDMI out connected, the HDMI display works perfectly, indicating it is not a problem with the BIOS but is rather an eDP display detection issue with the Intel HD Graphics Driver.

One thing that I noticed was interesting was that when the Windows 8.1 driver (version 10.18.10.4226) is installed, and Intel HD Graphics is disabled and enabled again from device manager, the eDP turns on and both eDP and HDMI out work perfectly with graphics acceleration until the device is rebooted. this means that it's a detection issue with Intel HD Graphics on the first boot.

In Linux, i915 is able to run both displays properly, it is Windows that has the issue except with the combination of the Windows 8.1 driver and the disable/re-enable workaround. I wish I could've fixed the driver myself but it's closed source so unfortunately that's not an option :/ (I have experience with writing Windows drivers and have done so to get the other parts of this system working)

I have looked through all the intel documentation and fixed up the coreboot bios and checked the options set in the video bios (version 2170 HSW) and it seems fine and the display does work properly until the Intel HD Graphics driver is loaded.

I have attached the relevant diagnostic information from the Intel HD Graphics although the Intel HD Graphics report is in the "working state" with the older driver + workaround as the control panel crashes when the driver can't detect a monitor connected.

5554898 Forced 1080i in some DX11 games is causing screen flicker.

$
0
0

Hey Folks,

When loading DX11 games in full-screen at 1920x1080, the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel sometimes forcefully changes the video output to 60i Hz from 60p Hz. As a result, it causes horrible screen flicker. Changing the game to run in windowed mode returns it to 60p Hz and removes the flicker, as does changing the resolution from 1920x1080 to something else. This is only noticeable on the SECOND screen, which is a plug 'n play standard 1080p monitor.

PC Specification:

Graphics: GTX 880m (running driver 337.50 beta - no alternative version available yet) & Intel HD 4600 integrated (running latest drivers).

CPU: Intel i7 4910MQ 2.90 GHz.

RAM: 16GB DDR3.

2nd Monitor: 24" 1080p LED screen operating at 60Hz connected via DisplayPort -> HDMI (though HDMI -> HDMI makes no difference).

OS: Windows 7 Pro SP1.

Why would the Intel drivers be automatically forcing my resolution to 1080 interlaced when the monitor can (and does) support 1080 progressive in every other context?

Thanks.
