After a few minutes Every 15 minutes the screen will go blank for a few seconds. Then it resumes and works normally again. Audio transmission over HDMI is interrupted too when the blank happens. What's that scary feature? Could it be sleep and do I have to disable it in power management options to prevent that? I must admit I haven't seen power management settings ever influence a graphics driver that way before.

edit: Annoyingly it is re-ocurring. Unfortunately it has become a major annoyance. Please help.

I just changed from an AMD setup to Intel.  I noticed that not all sounds play through the Intel HDMI Audio driver.

It seems like shorter sounds don't send the right type of handshake to my Onkyo receiver quick enough.

For regular MP3, WAV files, Windows Media Center, etc... everything is fine.

When playing shorter sounds like Windows Sounds (IE..as your perform tasks in Windows it dings..etc), or playing test sounds in the Windows Control Panel, the Receiver switches modes, but the HDMI port has probably already sent the audio, so nothing plays.  I think the AMD/ATI card, kept the HDMI audio port open longer or something so it wasn't much of an issue, although still happened occasionally on shorter sounds.

On the ATI/AMD card, you could replay a sounds again and the audio connection would remain open, so playing it a 2nd time would always work.  With the Intel driver, it drops the audio path after each sound.

I tried the latest Video/audio driver on Intel's web-site.  I also saw a test driver and tried that.  Neither one made a difference.

I am using Windows 7 -64-bit ultimate.  Intel  i3  3225

I have tried 2 different brands of MB and the same issues (One was Z77, one was H77 chipset).

I have installed 2 3D games on a Samsung ATIV Smart PC 500T using the Z2760 processor and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. Running Win8

The general result is that when the game starts (after game intro), a screen flickering starts at a rate grater than 1 per second, making the games unplayable.

All drivers are up to date and have tried all possible program configurations, both for compatibility and game settings.

I have not found this issue reported on any forum or support page, so I am not sure if it is my machine or a general issue with the processor and graphics.

The games in question are:

- Rise of Nations.

- Empire Earth.

DirectX reports no issue.

after installing the drivers update through windows update and successively through the intel site (9.17.10.2875) using the driver update utility the game fonts were pixelated and the characters were not visible anymore.

Had to revert to v8 (8.15.10.2761) drivers.

I have Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3  and Core i3 2100. Windows 7 x64. When i use pci-e video all work fine, but when using hdmi output and integrated CPU graphics, black screen and computer freeze until restart. BTW with 2219 driver no textures or black textures in many games.  No solution yet?

I've read most every post regarding this issue over the past few months and have yet to find a quality resolution to fix it.

The problem is this. Computer freezes and sends an annoying sound to my speakers, requiring a hard reboot, after about 30-60 minutes of up time when watching a video. I have tried XBMC and VLC  (the only non-windows software installed) and it happens in both programs. t also happens just by starting up Windows and leaving it at the desktop.

I have tried the following, at different times and combinations, to no avail:

- MemText86 has been run against the RAM a couple of times with no errors.

- Windows 7 has been clean installed multiple times

- Intel device updates installed

- BIOS updated and left to default values

- BIOS RAM setting changed from default to XMP

- made various incremental changes to BIOS RAM and Graphics settings

- Have tried every version of the HD4000 driver I could find from version 2770 to 3214

- Swapped out picoPSU with a bigger and different PSU

- Swapped out RAM with another 8GB of Kingston

Hello again everyone.  Following in the same spirit as the last Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3600 driver feedback thread, I'm making a new one to announce our latest driver release.  Version 1091 just went live today, and I would again like to ask everyone to provide constructive feedback on it.

The same rules apply for this thread as did apply for the last one.  This thread is dedicated specifically to this driver and the feedback for this driver.  This thread is not a discussion place for Windows* 8 GMA 3600 driver questions/complaints, nor is it for Windows* 7 GMA (64-bit) driver requests/complaints.  Any such comments will be promptly deleted.  However, please feel free to use any of the already-existing threads of that topic to discuss and provide feedback there.

Along with the feedback, if there are any new issues that resulted from the new driver, please provide detailed information on where you saw them, how it happened, and what steps to reproduce.

I have a Windows Vista Home Premium installation, but are unable to find any working graphics driver for the Celeron G1610 processor.

Does anybody have an idea how to get some working drivers? The standard VGA driver of windows is really not what I was looking for ;-)

I have a Dell Inspiron 14z Ultrabook with the integrated "Intel HD Graphics 4000" chip. Recently I got my screen replaced by Dell under my warranty.

Now that I have my laptop back, I've noticed that when not plugged in to a power source, the screen brightness constantly changes based on what's on the screen. It's very irritating! I spent a long time trying to find a solution, but to no avail. (Though many have had the problem.)

I've gone into the "Power" section on the Intel Graphics Control Panel, and ticked "Off" beside "Display Power Saving Technology" and "Maximum Performance" under "Power Plan." I've restarted my PC and reinstalled the driver.

Can anyone help me out?

i have an onboard intel 82865g graphics and its not reading my eied properly i have a westinghouse ld2680 led tv that i use for windows xp i know some one created a custom driver for this onboard graphics but media fire and mega upload are of no use as media fire deleted the file and mega upload is down for good can some one please upload a custom driver for this card to rapidshare i cant purchase a new graphics card at the moment and i cant get my native 1920x1080 resolution to show up under xp please help i also downloaded updated intel drivers but to no avail

I have problem with my samsung NP530U4E.

1- I can not adjust brigtness from the keyboard and from the power settings. I installed the latest driver for hd 4000 but the result was same. I installed the previous driver but still couldn' adjust it.

2- I can not get display from HDMI port. I tried with different hdmi cables and with different monitors.

I am using windows 8 x64.

hd 4000 driver version is 9.18.10.3165.

I searched about these two problems from internet but couldn' t find a solution. At the moment, brightness is very poor and i can not adjust it. also i can not get hdmi output which is very important for me.

How can i solve these 2 problems?

I really need your help, I tried to update my graphics driver but it keeps on getting this message.

"Your computer does not meet the minimum requirement for installing the software."

I hope you could help me with this one. My system details are as follows:

Hi. I know this question has been asked many times, but many are unanswered. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, Window 7 64 bit. Just yesterday, my laptop kept blacking out, freezes and then unfreeze and this message would pop up saying, "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows XP(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered." It keeps happening around every 15-30 minutes. Sometimes, it totally blacks out. Other times, it unfreeze but the windows are blank. Someone please help me. The display adapter I have is Mobile Intel (R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family." Some people said online to update it and that might fix the problem. I went to the Intel website and updated the lastest one given, but the problem is still here. I've restored my laptop to a certain restore point, but still did not solve the problem. Suggestions and ideas? Thank you a head of time.

I have a new build. Its a 3770k with an Asrock Fatal1ty Professional and 16Gb of Mushkin memory.

The computer has been working great all week. Then all of a sudden today after switching my display via a button on the front from VGA to DVI between my old rig and my new rig the screen no longer displays on my new rig. I also have 2 keyboards on my desk and may have hit a hot key and changed something, I'm not sure.

I have tried Windows Key + P to change to projection mode and get nothing.

After rebooting the screen works until after the windows 7 loading icon disapears then the screen goes into power save mode.

When booting into safemode the screen works fine.

When changing the resolution and then booting back out of safemode the screen does not load.

When deleting the Intel HD 4000 driver and restarting then the screen will load.

After reinstalling the Intel HD 4000 Driver the screen nolonger loads.

I don't know why its doing this but I am no longer able to use the HD 4000 with my intel driver installed. Which renders onboard video pretty much useless for anything but basic functions.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling the driver and also the monitor and its driver as well.

Nothing seems to work.

Is there some kind of keyboard shortcut to change display ports? I'm currently on HDMI and my board has both HDMI and displayport. I have no way to test if its working with the display port. Also I am using an HDMI to DVI cable already.

This is just really odd seeing how everything was working preffectly fine then all of a sudden, nothing just blank.

I can hear the computer load, even the sound. I can even type and login, but I'm unable to see anything.

Also I have tried to set onboard video as default in my bios and still nothing will load as long as the Intel HD4000 driver is installed.

I have tried two different drivers versions, they both do the same thing.

I used to use the ">>" x2 fast forward speed feature often (for watching talking head news programs among others). I enable it by hitting pressing the fast forward button on my remote only once.    Video Playback is 2x'ish the speed, and audio is kept at the same normal pitch on at twice the speed.

In Windows 7 it worked perfectly, the audio sounds fine and the video moves smoothly at about 1.5x speed, not 2x speed. After upgrading to Windows 8 the audio sounds fine and plays smoothly but the video is jerky/stutters e.g., it seems to move at regular speed for few hundred milliseconds then it moves at 8x speed for a 100 milliseconds to catch back up to the audio.

I tried the new July beta drivers I discovered on this XBMC Corruption thread.

The new drivers fixed XBMC video corruption.     My Media Center still is herky jerky when I use the speed watching feature.

Can you please have the engineers test this and tweak the drivers to work smoothly again? 

Windows 7 playback is perfect, but Windows 8 is herky jerky.

I can provide some Video example clips for playback testing if you don't have access to tuner to add to Media Center.

Please help. I just completed a new build for an HTPC and for whatever reason my screen is flickering during both live and recorded tv playback. It's like a muted strobing flicker, and it's not constant or every show/channel. I have no idea what to do, I feel like I have tried everything.

Here is the info on my build:

Everything else is running like a champ, just the screen flickering issue during WMC.

I have 8GB RAM on Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit.

Windows 7 32bit support only 4GB, so I have patched kernel using ReadyFor4GB program.

The problem is that after rebooting with patched kernel, BSOD would be seen and Windows could not start.

If I would use a nVidia graphics card, then no problem.

So I think there's a problem in memory management of Intel HD Graphics driver.

Help me, what solution?

hi all just wanted to get some info on the hd4000. i've got a p8z77 lx2 mobo, i5 3570k, 16gb of ram and i'm running on windows ultimate 64bit. quite undemanding games like black mesa and tf2 are unplayable. I've also tried other stuff like amnesia and slender which aren't too hardware intensive either and they still run very badly.

screen tear is also so bad i always have to enable vsync and i keep getting msgs in the taskbar saying i'm not using my optimal resolution which it thinks is 1920*1080 even though i have a hd ready tv which is set at 1280*720. if i try and run 1920*1080 in games it doesn't work just resets back to native 1280*720. i did a scan on the intel site and have the latest drivers. the 4000 is only integrated i know but i've seen youtube vids of people running better games than me and a lot more smoothly. I'm at my wit's end here, anyone got any ideas?  cheers
