GMA 500 in Acer Aspire One Windows 7 driver still works under latest windows 10 update

$

This entry is to confirm Intel GMA 500 in Acer Aspire One Windows 7 driver still works under latest windows 10 update

windows 10 has updated Acer Aspire One A0751h-52Yr today to 1607 (KB4010250) (today is 08-March-2017)

I was fed up with the restricted screen size of the windows 10 built in driver, and researched (on this site) for a solution.

This Solution worked first time, I now have 1366x 768, even the colours look better.

I found "GMA 500 is not compatible ......etc."  but it is locked for me to enter this update. GMA 500 is not compatible with Windows 10. Is there a new driver available or under development?

The instructions there are : Thanks to Techpotato.

Answer 11.

Techpotato  06-Apr-2016 17:27  (in response to Arieljd)

I know this thread is old, but it is the highest ranked on Google for the Intel GMA 500, so I figured that if I replied here it might help people.

There is  a generic GMA 500 driver from Intel for 32 bit Windows 7 that has worked for me on netbooks under Windows 10:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19155

Unzip it onto a memory stick and plug it in.

On the Windows 10 target machine:
1.Right-click on the start icon and choose "Device Manager"
2.Expand "Display Adapters" and right-click on the generic display device
3.Select "Update Driver Software..."
4.Select "->Browse my computer for driver software"
5.Click the [Browse] button; select the folder containing the extracted files
6.Click the [Next] button
7.Wait (it is probably an under-powered netbook, after all).

This driver actually worked better on Windows 10 than the OEM driver (Fujitsu) worked on Windows 7.

Thank for reading

Intel HD 520 and OpenGL compatibility issues

$

Dear support community,

My company develops specialized CAD software. Very rarely, we run into compatibility issues with OpenGL and certain graphics cards or chipsets. In the past 15 years, there have only been one compatibility issue with the Nvidia Quadro K1100 series card and certain sets of NVidia drivers.

Recently, we were contacted by a client who is having trouble with our CAD software on an Intel HD Graphics 520 chipset. After some troubleshooting, we have found that the program crashes on the initialization of the OpenGL context (API function wglCreateContext(...)). Some research on the Intel HD 520 chipset/drivers shows that there is extensive OpenGL compability problems with this card and many popular games, CAD programs, screensavers, etc.

Suspecting a bad set of drivers, we asked our client to update to the latest drivers (15.45.10.4542, Download Intel® Graphics Driver). There was no change and the program still encountered an error (Error -2147417848 (&H80010108): The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.). We also developed a OpenGL text program, which shed more light on the error and instead gave a BEX error (see attached image, sorry it is in French). Now, it is not possible for VB6 to create a BEX error on its own, therefore this must be happening inside the graphics driver routines...

Next, we asked our client to update to the BETA drivers (15.45.12.45552, Download Intel Graphics Beta Driver [15.45]). The client was able to run our CAD software - however other CAD software on the client computer was no longer functional.

Any guidance or driver recommendations would be very helpful. These errors are very rare, but extremely frustrating to resolve.

Best regards,
Adam Kaplan

Using Windows 10, and the Netflix app my system first flashes then crashes when starting the netflix app. I have found the issue to be similar to this issue here: Intel HD Graphics 530 driver crashing However I have not been able to update the driver. I receive the following error when I try to: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements Intel graphics. I attempted several solutions listed here: Installation Error Messages for Graphics Drivers . However none worked. I would like to know if there is a solution I could do in order to fix the Netflix App issue?

And moved it into the C:\windows\system32\drivers and the 5 people I have done this to,have yet to repeat the BSOD, even dioing the exact same things, sharing screen, using Web cam hosting multiple users, and not 1 has BSOD.

Now the file is from another see attached, and not always a newer sys file, some times older.

HD Graphics 500 can't do UHD 60hz 4:4:4

$

Hi

I can do UHD 60hz 4:2:2 on my Philips 43PUS6101/12 (HDMI set to 4:2:2/4:4:4).

But I can't get the HD Graphics to do UHD 60Hz 4:4:4 8bit.

Currently it's in 32bit mode (=10bit, right?)... so that would be over HDMI 2 Spec (UHD 60Hz 4:4:4 10bit not possible).

So where is the 24/32 bit pulldown, or how can I force 4:4:4?

eye strain

hello,

I have a Notebook with Intel Core i7 4710 - Intel Graphics 4600 and external Nvidia Gforce GTX 850M for about 2 weeks now. I connect the Notebook on two different places per HDMI with nearly three year old lg monitors. With my old Notebook (Intel Core2Duo and Nvidia Gforce 9500GT) I had not any problems with this two monitors. However when I connect one of the two monitors with my new Notebook I get eye strain and headache. Of course I use the right resolution FullHD and tried out different brigthness and contrast adjustments in intel graphic properties. OS is Windows 7 Prof x64  and the newest drivers are installed. Version:15.33.22.64.3621
Nearly two months ago I purchased an other Notebook with Intel Core i7 4700MQ - Intel Graphics 4600 and Nvidia Gforce GT755 M. I had the same problem there and so I sent it back, because I thought that the Notebook has an defect. I tried out Windows 7 and Windows 8 and had the same eye problems in the two different OS.
Now I do not really know what the problem exactly is, because I have these problems with two different Notebooks on two different external LG Monitors and the integrated Displays of the Notebooks. But I thinkt the problem is the Intel HD 4600. Maybe that there is something wrong with the driver.
Do you have any ideas about this? Couse  I can't purchase and send back new Notebooks all the time.

I have bought an HP pavilion 550-265ng that has as graphic card an Intel HD Graphics 530.

If connect the computer to a Samsung 4K TV the lagging is too hard that it is impossiible to use the PC. No problems with an HD Monitor 1080p. I tried almost of configurations 1920x1080, 800x600, 4K with serveral refresh (29 Hz, 50 , 60, 30) but the behavoir is always the same.

I have already contact to HP Support and we updated every driver that we could.

Maybe, this issue is related with:

screen turns off- and on if PSR is enabled

I have the problem that if Panel Self Refresh (PSR) is enabled in the Intel driver settings, which is the default setting, my panel switches off- and on every few seconds (when not using the computer). When PSR is disabled, the issue does not appear. Nevertheless, I would like to use PSR to have a higher battery life, so the issue should be fixed. I already swapped the display without success.

Intel HD 4600 4k Mouse Lag(Potential bug)

Hello,

I've recently been using a a 4k screen (Samsung U28E590DS) hooked to my laptop through MiniDP 1.2, however I've been experiencing some terrible mouse lag issues.

Steps to reproduce problem:

-Start a cpu intensive program (In my case I discovered this while using Prime95 with Blend test)

-Notice how the mouse moves perfectly fine while it's inside any windows.

-Move the mouse to a location on the desktop(wallpaper) and notice how it suddenly lags.

Changing the power profile to High Performance does not have any effect.

In my case I had set in the nVidia control panel the preferred graphics processor to High-Performance NVIDIA processor however, this too did not fix the problem.

With these settings and with Intel XTU open I was able to notice than when the mouse is inside any window the Intel HD 4600 is at 600MHz while when the mouse hits the wallpaper it jumps to 1300MHz and starts lagging.

The Intel HD 4600 is listed as compatible with 3840x2160@60Hz so I would not expect this kind of issue, how do I solve this very annoying problem?

UPDATE:

I've now noticed that this happens even during normal usage like watching a youtube video. If the mouse moves on the wallpaper the mouse and the video start to have micro stutter.

UPDATE 2:

It would appear that I have found a temporary workaround. Killing and restarting the process dwm.exe(Desktop Window Manager) seems to solve the lagging problem.

System configuration(XMG P504):

-Windows 10 64bit

-Resolution: 3840x2160@60Hz

-Intel i7 4810MQ

-nVidia gtx 870m

-Intel Driver version 20.19.15.4501

-nVidia Driver version 378.66

Halo PC graphics corruption still present on latest drivers

A thread was created less than a year ago talking about this very same subject, located here: HD 530 - Halo PC stretched textures

It was closed because the bulk of the issues were solved with new drivers, and that was that. Unfortunately this wasn't fully fixed. I am on the very latest drivers and I'm still seeing random corruption. I have screenshots that demonstrate.

Here's what the picture should look like: http://i.imgur.com/YtZYs94.png

And here's what it looks like when the Intel graphics start corrupting the textures, in the very same way the original thread talks about:

This at fully stock BIOS settings on a brand new i7 7700k and HD 630. I do not see graphics corruption like this in most of my games, but I have seen it in some other DirectX9 titles as well.

New Dell Laptop with Intel HD 520 video does not support Blender (3d software).  Dell site drivers are not supporting either.  When can I obtain the OpenGL drivers 2.0 or greater for this card?
