Corruption in XBMC

$

0

There seems to be some kind of graphical corruption in XBMC with the new drivers ... icons/logos get corrupted in the interface and there are some other minor corruptions in lists (will upload images later when i get home).

I'm running the latest 64-bit drivers on two different systems both with an i3 (HD 4000) and both experience the same problem.

Operating system used is win 8 (one PRO and the other "vanilla" win 8). System 1 is runnig XBMC 12 and the other XBMC 12.1 and both are runnig the "Aeon Nox" skin .. same corruption in both.

Can someone else please confirm this issue.

CustomModeApp.exe 8.15.10.3165 offers color depth no greater than 32bpp

Even though Intel HD Iris Graphics such as 4600 or 5200 are expected to produce deep color (10bpc or above), I found out that the Intel-provided  interfaces, including the advanced screen with sync porch, back porch, etc... only offer 8bpp, 16bpp or 32bpp, thus the highest quantization per primary color is 8bpc (32bpp being 8 red, 8 green, 8 blue and 8 transparency),

I am connecting via DisplayPort going to a screen with 10bpc sink and a 10bpc panel.

The whole reason I am getting gen 4 Core is for the graphics, for static images (16-bit *.tif & *.png) and Windows 7 has full support for deep color, except that the only driver I can find for the Graphics 4600 is Intel.

Is there an alternate tool or configuration override method ?

Thanks !

Why is it always detected VGA1 as connector for Monitor0 even if I connect HDMI connectior?

And afterward, it can fetch the EDID for HDMI.

And I think it's the reason that the screen can't rotate right as expected when using HDMI.

P.S. It works perfectly for VGA connector.

Any clues?

Flickering screen and X-Server crashes

Hi there,

I'm experiencing problems with my i7-4770S graphics. The screen sometimes flickers, producing horizontal bars, about 100 px in height, moving up and down. The bars are not fully colored green, more like a chessboard with the normal background content and the occasional green pixel. The green pattern, in the same time, seems to move left or right. I was not able yet to capture it on camera. The flickering occurs in any OS, including BIOS setup.

Additionally, from time to time, my X-Server (Fedora 19, Linux 3.10.11) and/or single X applications crash.

Backtraces from Xorg.0.log.old and libxcb crash information from dmesg:

http://paste.fedoraproject.org/38958/
http://paste.fedoraproject.org/39554/
http://paste.fedoraproject.org/39553/

Hardware:

Asus H87M-E (C2)

Intel i7-4770S (bought it boxed)

G-Skill F3-10600CL9S-4GBNT (2 x 4 GB - worked fine on another Asus board)

Samsung SyncMaster 2333 monitor (works fine with other computers)

Does anybody know what exactly is happening and what to do to fix it?

Hard lockup when waking display up from idle

$

Mainboard: ASUS H87M-E (C2) and ASUS B85M-G (C2)

RAM: Corsair ValueSelect 2 x 4 GB DDR3-1600 CL11

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770S

PSU: FSP Fortron/Source Aurum Gold 400W (supports Haswell CPUs)

When leaving the computer unattended for half an hour or so, the monitor goes to standby. (Suspend/hibernate is not activated on the computer.)

When trying to wake the monitor by moving the mouse or pressing a key, the system hard-locks. The computer's reset button also does not work properly, it takes about 15 seconds for the system to reset (see video at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46726302/VID_20130926_192026.mp4).

Before I try to wake the computer up, the existence of IRC logs from the time it was idling shows that everything works as expected. The freeze occurs only when waking it up.

I tried two different mainboards, so it's unlikely that they are defective. The RAM passes hours of memtest testing.

Since the OS IMHO should not be able to cause such a bad deadlock, something else must be the problem.

What could it be? A defective CPU is very unlikely, at best.

Latest update for HD Graphics 3000 gives reduced performance

Hey there,

I've updated my HD Graphics 3000 with latest 9.17.10.3223 drivers and I experience a very bad performance in Games after updating. I was playing "Remember me" before the update and the game is now so lagging and gives poor, reduced performance after the update. I'm not complaining, I just want you guys to check it.

I'm a quick updater and I used to update my drivers as soon as the new drivers come out. So, I always look forward for new updates and expect at least a little increased performance after a new update. As a gamer I'll be pleased if I can help Intel graphics developing community.

Thank you.

Unable to find a VGA-driver for Intel Pentium G2120

Hello!

I'm wondering is there a way to find a VGA-driver for Intel Pentium G2120?

I was on Intel Download Center and submitted the following information:

1. Select a product family: Graphics

2. Select a product line: Desktop graphic drivers

3.Select a product name: Intel® Pentium® Processors with Intel® HD Graphics

Finally I was redirected to this page, but never found a download link there :-(

The OS is Windows XP 32-bit.

The motherboard is ASRock H61M-DGS.

I've also tried to install drivers from their download center (filtered by OS) - VGA driver ver:14.51.7.5421, but these drivers are not compatible (I got the error while tried to install it on Windows XP).

Could you help me please?

Thank you!

P.S. I cannot use Intel® Driver Update Utility because there is no Internet-connection on that PC.

Intel HD 4000 drivers for Windows 8.1 RTM

$

I have tried all beta and preview and official drivers for Intel hd 4000 after installing Windows 8.1 RTM on my sony vaio laptop, and none function.  The device manager shows that they have stopped working, code 43, and falls back to the basic Microsoft default graphics drivers.  This prevents me from adjusting settings and using multiple monitors.  When will Intel release official, tested drivers for the intel hd 4000 for windows 8.1 (64 bit)?  I understand the official release is not for a few weeks, but the RTM has been made available through MSDN early.  I can't imagine Intel is far off from having the drivers ready for the full release of 8.1.  What's the best way to stay on top of driver updates so that I can get my multi monitor support asap?

Black OPs 2 - Loading Issues.

As I'm not the only one with the issue, for the past several months I have been having issues with Call of Duty - Black OPs 2 map loading. The game in itself runs perfectly fine with the Intel HD 4000, but takes about a minute to two minutes just to load a map. This is on any game mode (single player, zombies, multiplayer), any setting (Low/Med/High), and with or without shadows. The game in itself runs around 50 FPS on High and without any hanging.

[Black Ops 2] [Intel HD Graphics 4000 - Loading issues] - YouTube

The video itself is choppy due to the recording software - had to record in a window instead of just in game to show that the game hangs for a minute or two, otherwise while recording in game, the recording cuts from the time it reaches the end, skips the minute of no activity/slowdown and into the game - or not into the game and back to the main menu.phics

Video was posted in late May, but is still relevant to this day even with the latest drivers (9.18.10.3257 - 9/11/2013)

I have tried contacting Treyarch/Activision in this regard, but unfortunately I am greeted with "That GPU is not supported."

Laptop Specs :

- Brand : Asus K55A

- Processor : Intel Core i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50 GHz

Older integrated graphics drivers for Windows 8 : we need them

$

I recently upgraded to Windows 8 Pro on my 2 PCs. Previously was running Windows 7 Pro.

One is a Dell 1525 latptop with the GM965 chipset and X3100 graphics.

To my surprise, no drivers are available from Intel for Windows 8 !

The stock Microsoft driver is buggy, has crappy OpenGL performance, won't allow proper resolutions on external monitors...

It might work for basic single display duties on grandma's laptop, but fails under any more serious scenario.

Morever, that much needed driver was available for Windows 7 and worked flawlessly (for me anyways).

So I tried the very same driver on Windows 8, but the install fails.

What is it that changed SO MUCH between Windows 7 and Windows 8 that make this driver not work anymore ??

It's not like we're trying to port a Windows ME x86 driver to Windows 8 x64 or something !!!

It's Windows 7 vs 8, dammit !

Or is it more a case of Intel not wanting to do anything at all to help their user base ???

Yesterday I checked my buddy's build for Windows 8 compatibility. The 7 years old GeForce is still supported by nVidia just as if it had been released last week.

Where are your drivers, Intel ?

Little but annoying problem with the HD4000

$

Hi,

i purchased two Samsung 770Z7E notebooks a few weeks ago for two friends of mine.

The 770Z7E supports two graphics adapter, the HD4000 integrated into the Intel Ivy Bridge mobile processor and a AMD Mobility Radeon 8870M

Everything works as expected but there is one issue which in my opinion could be related to the HD4000 because its the primary display adapter.

(The Mobility Radeon only kicks in for specific and graphic intense applications)

The problem occurs esspecially under Microsoft Word 2013.

If i try to point my mouse over a certain text in word 2013, it should show a box which displays the text and give me additional informations.

The issue now is that the box appears and disappears right after that, that happens so fast that i can`t see whats written in the box.

Sorry if i can`t describe it any better but i hope you can comprehend what i am talking about.

The reason why i assume that the problem might be related to the graphics driver/adapter is that if i try to reproduce the problem inside

a virtuial machine everything runs as it should.

I hope you have an idea what i can do to solve the problem. I installed the x64 graphic driver provided by samsung (9.17.10.2963).

If i try to install the latest driver version (9.18.10.3165) problems occur which seem to be related to the Mobility Radeon 8870M.

(Aero Glass will be disabled right after the systems boots)

Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

No DisplayPort 1.2 support?

Are there any plans to support DP 1.2 on the Intel HD 4000 graphics card? I'd love to be able to have USB over AUX and daisy chaining capabilities. Is there support now, or planned support in the future? Or do I just need to go with AMD for a video card?

Windows 8.1 driver issues

Hi, as the title suggests I'm having some problems with windows 8.1, only when playing games, at the beginning I had some low on memory warnings then few days ago a bsod related to igdkmd64.sys after 10 mins of playing, never had all these issues with win 8

my computer is a clevo laptop, 780m nvidia and intel 4600 as display adapters, I have the latest drivers for both (10.18.10.3316 for the 4600)

I update win 8 using windows store but I never had the code 31 or 43 issues

basically I'm having almost the same problems:

Optimus V 17.3" Windows 8.1 BSOD igdkmd64.sys

really, it can't be a coincidence.....

I try to install old 4600 drivers but that doesn't work, I also try the latest drivers available from clevo, no luck

In my opinion there are clearly some issues between intel drivers and any other 3rd graphic cards (amd or nvidia)

Also I have two doubt in my mind:

1 older graphics drivers for windows 8 can safelly be used with win 8.1 ??

2 when you install or reinstall intel drivers on a notebook is better to also install the drivers for the dgpu at the (almost) same time, even if you already had the latest drivers for the dgpu, or you can install only intel drivers with no problems ??

p.s. I'm from italy so I'm sorry for my mistakes

Display Driver has stopped responding and has recovered

Hi. I know this question has been asked many times, but many are unanswered. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, Window 7 64 bit. Just yesterday, my laptop kept blacking out, freezes and then unfreeze and this message would pop up saying, "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows XP(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered." It keeps happening around every 15-30 minutes. Sometimes, it totally blacks out. Other times, it unfreeze but the windows are blank. Someone please help me. The display adapter I have is Mobile Intel (R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family." Some people said online to update it and that might fix the problem. I went to the Intel website and updated the lastest one given, but the problem is still here. I've restored my laptop to a certain restore point, but still did not solve the problem. Suggestions and ideas? Thank you a head of time.

Driver hd4400

hey guys,

i have a new sony vaio 13 multi flip and first I updated my sony with windows 8.1. but somehow i have graphic problems. everything is super sharp (due to the high resolution), but  i some cases it seems that the sony thinks that there is a very low resolution (you can see the difference in the device manager; when i want to start google earth i get a message that it requires at least a 1024 resolution i my settings are lower). I've checked all possibilities to change the resolution, but everywhere the highest one was set.
So i thought: hey maybe the driver is not compatible with windows 8.1 and i just have to update my intel driver to solve my problem. Well, i downloaded the latest driver vor hd 4400 and when i want to install it, the installer says that this driver is not suitable with mine?! wtf?! Ok so i tried to figure out, why the programm thinks i dont have the correct driver. Maybe i have the wrong driver signature?! I dont know! therefore i am writing here, hoping someone can help me!

btw: the device managers says i have an intel hd graphics family graphiccard and i have the 10.18.10.3304 driver installed.

thx Yaconan

Asus Transformer Book T100TA: No option to maintain aspect ratio

$
0
0

The Transformer Book is a hybrid tablet/notebook running windows 8.1, and features a Bay Trail processor. The installed driver version is 10.18.10.3286.

I have several games that run in 640x480 or 1024x768 full-screen mode. My computer stretches them to fit without maintaining the original aspect ratio, which makes everything wider than it should be. I would like to be able to run such programs in their original aspect ratios, with black bars on the left and right sides, instead of being stretched out of proportion.

However, the only option the Intel control panel provides is to "Maintain Display Scaling" and thus stretches everything to fit the entire screen, regardless of the program's original aspect ratio. This seems like a very basic feature, and has been present in every laptop I've ever owned.

Thus far, I have tried installing several drivers from Intel's site, including the one indicated in the attached JPG --  win32_b_15333, which was recommended by Intel's own driver update utility -- both manually and via the provided setup program(s), but none will install.

Any advice regarding drivers, or any other tips or tricks that can accomplish what I would like?
