Problems with Intel HD 4600 - Screen all tored.

I tried to use Intel's HD 4600 graphics on my i7 4770k chip and ran into screen being all torn apart.  When I try to go into hd properties it freezes and gives me an error that hd 4600 crashed.  The second I uninstall and use standard vga graphic adapter everything works fine.  I tried installing drivers from my motherboard (Asus Maximus VI Hero), through windows update and directly from Intel, even tried beta drivers.  All have the same result.  I also had GFXeuiF (or something like that) give me a crash error as well.  Saw online that it could be related to .NET frame so I uninstalled it and re-installed with the same results.

Edit - Using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Edit 2 - When I take a print screen these rips are not there, just a clear picture of what I'm taking.

I'm attaching an image to show what it looks like.  These tiny boxes/rips move a little as I do things in the windows.

No audio through HDMI with HD 4400

Hi everybody. I have a sony vaio Pro 13 with Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 and windows 8.1. When connecting the laptop via HDMI to the TV i can see the video but not sounds. In the Audio settings i can clearly see an HDMI device but it's always NOT PLUGGED IN.

Anyone can help me?

I can all the driver audio and video update, and the only issue that i can notice is that is impossible for me to install the HD graphics 4400 driver version 15.x because my computer is "not suitable" . I have the version 10.18.10.3304

ArmA 3: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED seems driver related

$

Hello,

Ever since ArmA 3 was released as an alpha back in March, it plagued me (and quite a few others) with these apparently random DirectX 11 crashes (either freezing or CTD):

"D3D Error - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED"

"Display Driver Stopped Responding and has recovered."

A few days ago I, acting on a hunch, installed an old driver (15.28.7.64.2867) from October(?) 2012 and was able to play the game without any crashes in area's/maps that were unplayable before.

Working my way up (I have some, but not all drivers released) I found that the drivers up to 9.17.10.2932 (December 2012) perform flawlessly, while 9.18.10.3071 (March 2013) and later tend to suffer from this issue.

So while installing the latest drivers is recommended as a starting point for every glitch, in this case it is not going to get you anywhere: it seems that every iteration has inherited a flaw that was introduced somewhere during that period (December 2012 - March 2013).

I hope this in some way helps you to tackle this issue, and allows me to have my graphics driver up to date in the near future...

These 'tests' were performed, ceteris paribus, on this machine:

Intel i7-3770K@3500|3900 (HD 4000@1150)

MSi Z77A-GD65 (UEFI: 10.11ß)

32GB Corsair Vengeance@1600

Windows 8.1_x64

All drivers were up to date.

HD 4000 Windows won't boot after installing driver

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my system. I am fairly convinced it's an issue with the integrated graphics. From searching the forum it looks as though many people are having similar problems, but as of yet I've seen no solution.

My problem is very similar to the one described here: https://communities.intel.com/message/168321

My system setup is a follows:

+ Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H Rev 1.1 motherboard

+ Intel Core i5 3570K CPU

+ 16GB (4x4GB) Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600 memory

+ OCZ Vertex Plus+ SSD

+ Corsair CX600M PSU

+ Windows 7 64 bit

The whole problem started when my motherboard failed initially when some of the VRM components blew up. I've since had the motherboard replaced (twice) but am now having the issue with the integrated graphics. I should mention that I RMA'ed the CPU and RAM but both where returned as non-faulty.

Anyway I performed a fresh install of Windows 7 and installed all the chipset drivers that came with my motherboard (with the exception of the HD 4000 driver). The system worked fine, booted reliably etc. However once I install the HD 4000 graphics driver the system no long boots into Windows, instead it hangs and I get a black screen. It seems to be getting stuck at 'classpnp.sys'.

Now, booting into safe mode and disabling the HD 4000 driver solves the booting problem. I am then able to boot normally. Graphically everything appears fine using the Standard VGA adapter driver provided with Windows. As soon as I re-enable or re-install the HD 4000 graphics driver the system hangs again on boot up.

I've tried countless uninstalls, installs, different driver versions and nothing works!

I've no idea how to solve this issue. I've contacted Gigabyte and am waiting on a reply from them.

Regards,

Simon

Official Black-screen thread - We need your help!

Hello Graphics Communities!

For a very long time now we've been trying to track down, diagnose, and correct an issue that seems to be happening all across the board with Intel® Graphics.  Users, for various reasons - seem to have issues with OEM systems (and Intel® NUC's) losing their display for different events.

  • Installing new drivers
  • Rebooting
  • Computers idling, going into sleep or hibernation
  • Other random events

We have run into a stumbling block in fixing this issue, and that is that we are unable to reproduce the symptoms above.  We have ordered exact-matching systems, displays and cables - and matched our configurations to those of the users having problems, and we are completely unable to reproduce the problem.  The issue is complex, but in this particular case - it stems from the fact that two users with the same configuration are not guaranteed to have the problem, it varies from user to user, system to system, display to display.

What we at Intel® are asking now though is 2-fold.  If you are one of these users (or a business) experiencing a consistent black-screening issue as mentioned above, we would like to procure your COMPLETE system configuration.  This means, we want you to ship us (at our expense) - the System (desktop or laptop), display (TV, monitor) AND the cable (hdmi, dp, dvi, vga) used by your system when it starts to have a blackscreen failure.  If you are willing to do this, you should be aware that we will keep your system for an extended period, and will compensate you by replacing your setup.

NOW!  Even if you are not willing to send us your system, and would just like to inform us that you have a black-screen issue.  That is okay too. Even if you have already submitted this info in some of our other black-screen threads, feel free to submit it here too.  Please submit the following information into this thread so that we can continue to document all possible instances of it.  Just copy and paste the below list and put in relevant information (completely!).  *NOTE* If you have not already done so, please update your BIOS and Display Driver to the latest version available.  We cannot accept a report of a failing configuration that is not up to date.  Additionally, if you are running your display through a 3rd party device such as a projector or an AV/R (receiver), you need to show that the problem still occurs without the extra device connected (a direct connection from system to display is required).

Are you willing to send your system to us? (Yes/No)
Is your system a laptop or desktop?
If desktop, is it custom built, or manufactured?
If desktop, what is the make/model of your motherboard?
What is the make/model of your system? (COMPLETE model name required)
What is the model of your CPU?
What is the make/model of your failing display(s)?
If laptop, is your built-in display failing? (Yes/No)
What is your operating system?
Is it a 64-bit or 32-bit operating system?
What display driver version do you have installed?
What type of connection are you using? (HDMI, VGA, DP, DVI?)
What happens that results in the blackscreen failure?

Any/all information is valuable.

Thank you for your information & cooperation!

i3 HD Graphics and pixel shader 3.0?

$

I'm trying to play a game called Magicka.

They say it doesn't support integrated graphics.

When I asked if a laptop with integrated graphics could ever run the game,

someone said:

"Magicka is using pixelshader 3.0, which means that it depends on running  programs on the GPU that your hardware simply can't support.

Except for a rewrite of the rendering engine, I can pretty certainly say that the answer is no."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

So is this accurate? Does my i3-m350's integrated graphics not have pixel shader 3.0?

Could I use this as a work around? http://transgaming.com/business/swiftshader/

Do I have any hope of playing this game?

Bless you!

Hello,

I just bought FIFA 13 for my computer and when I try to play it, it freezes after every 10 seconds and says that Intel display driver has stopped working and has recovered. I can play it for max 2 min then my computer crashes. Can somebody help me with this, because I would really like to play FIFA.

Intel HD 4600 - DVI only, no HDMI video

I have followed all of the recommendations I have seen on the forums and still have the same issue.

I have an ASRock H87 Pro4. I use the DVI out to one monitor, and the HDMI out to another. They are both Asus VS228s running 1080p at 60Hz.

I am no longer able to use the HDMI port, only the DVI port works in Windows.

I have tried the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Updated BIOS
  2. Installed the latest graphics drivers (the second display worked after the installation, didn't work after rebooting)
  3. Uninstalled the graphics drivers. (the second display worked, but without the driver it ran at 640x480 or 800x600, didn't check)
  4. Installed the latest graphics drivers (again, the second display worked after the installation, didn't work after rebooting)

The HDMI port works while in the BIOS screens and bootup screen of Windows, but goes black immediately after beginning to load the login screen.

Color control options lack definition

Dear Intel developers,

Could you please consider adding more precise controls for the color settings?

Its hard to calibrate anything with such huge steps in gamma, contrast and brightness.

My suggestion would be to decrease minimum step size by a factor of 10x:

- Gamma: 0.01

- Contrast/Brightness 0.1

Thank you for your consideration.

How can I set the default "Output to" monitor on a laptop

$

I have an Asus N series laptop running windows 8.1 with  monitor . All my drivers are up to date.

When I restart the machine the monitor has a strange yellow hue that looks terrible. When I switch the Graphics Output > Output to > Digital Display the color looks great. But every time I restart my machine it defaults back to the yellow color even though there is a check mark next to Digital Display.

Why is this happening?

Cannot get anything higher than 1080P out of Toshiba HDMI port

Hi all,

Hoping for some help- I've picked up a Toshiba P75-A7200 laptop, and the specs state that the HDMI port will support up to 4K out.  The unit has Intel 4600HD graphics, so that supports 4K also.

I've got a ViewSonic VP2770-LED monitor (1440P) and would like to run it at its native resolution of 1440P.

I have tried three different HDMI cables, each claiming 1.4a support.  The monitor works great at 1440P via both dual-link DVI and DisplayPort (neither of which the Toshiba has).

I've tried the latest Toshiba display drivers, the latest Intel display drivers, Windows 7x64, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 pro, with no success.

When I try to enter 2560*1440, 32-bit, at 30, 40, 50, or 60Hz, (using the CustomModeApp utility) I get  'resolution selected exceeds maximum bandwidth' error.  Based on the 4K support, I shouldn't be anywhere near the bandwidth limit.

Any ideas?  I'm stumped.

Hello,

I am trying to update my graphics driver to the latest version. I keep using the Automatic Intel Update Utility software and it tells me that this is the driver that i need to update to: Intel® HD Graphics 400015.33.14.64.3412 (10.18.10.3412) and it tells me my current version is 8.15.10.2626, however whenever I try to update to the newer version it gives me I believe 3 different error messages (randomly chosen) such as: "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer. Setup will exit."  or "The operating system is not supported".

I have tried hp's site as well and they dont have an updated driver version for my computer.

Loss of HDMI audio on DH87RL

I have an Intel DH87RL motherboard with a Haswell CPU and Win8, and I have the issue with the HDMI audio device disapperaing aftaer standby or turning off the AC reciever...

I have followed the instructions here https://communities.intel.com/message/218663#218663 with no Lock - I have the newest BIOS from 12/04 and also the newest drivers - 3345.

I don't have the issue with the previous driver, but then I have other issues.

So as stated in the thread above I'd like to ask my mobo manufacturer if a new BIOS is on the way?

LVDS/eDP question

For the LCD/engineering experts

When I open the intel graphics control panel on my latitude e6440 notebook it shows the LCD as an embedded display port device. However, my notebook uses a LP140WH2-TLTB panel which is a 40 pin LVDS display NOT an eDP display. The port on the motherboard side is also labeled LVDS and has a 40-pin connector. I was wondering why there is a discrepancy...

Some possible explanations I've thought of:

1) the control panel is wrong and my notebook motherboard can only run LVDS

2) LVDS is being run over the eDP connection

Anyone else have any other thoughts? I was hoping to run a eDP panel on this notebook in the future but it looks like that may not be possible.

Windows 8/8.1 Intel HD 4000 Laptop Graphics Driver Problem!!!

$
0
0

Hello!!!

I'm in in urgent need of some assistance concerning Intel® HD 4000 drivers for Windows 8/8.1 (x64)  Here are my specs:

Asus K55A Notebook

Intel Core i3-3110M @ 2.40 GHz

Intel HD 4000 iGPU

Samsung 840 SSD 250 GB

Kingston HyperX 8 GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz

Windows 8.1 Pro (x64) RTM Build 9600 (CURRENT OS)

The problem is as follows... Originally my notebook came with Windows 8 (x64) Single Language GDR version on a 750 GB HDD... And HD 4000 drivers were v9.x (2828) I updated to v9.18.10.3257 and then Windows 8 updated it normally up to v10.18.10.3412... Now I noticed that with the v9.x(3257) driver I had Dx11.1 installed and hardware support for Dx11.1 and WinSAT ran and showed the Dx10/11 Graphics, DWM and Gaming scores... When Windows updated to the v10.x(3412) drivers... DirectX dropped to 11.0 hardware support, when my hardware actually supports 11.1...

Here's the doozy... On my SSD I have a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro (x64) RTM version Build 9600... And Windows 8.1 is FORCING me to install HD 4000 driver v10.x(3308) And WinSAT Graphics scores have dropped from a Gaming Score of 6.9 to 5.1 and the Dx10/11 part of the tests are no "0" and DirectX is now 11.2 installed and Hardware support is 11.0... I repeat my hardware supports Dx11.1 as it would show on Windows 8 running the v9.x series drivers... What is the deal??? Am I missing something??? I have horrible Windows 8.1 Desktop graphics quality... IE 11 and anything in Metro or "Change PC Settings"  have very, very poor quality... all the letters are highly pixelated and distorted... On the desktop screen the icons are really blurry and the text is fuzzy... I don't get it!!! My notebook LED LCD screen is HD LED at 1367x768... HD 4000 is set to High Performance Mode... Why is it that with Windows 8 it does update to HD 4000 drivers v10.18.10.3412 from Windows Update and with Windows 8.1 Pro... Windows Update forces me to use v10.17.10.3308... How is that possible since its the same notebook!!! The only difference is me swapping the HDD with Win8 Single Language OEM to the SSD with Win8.1 Pro... I mean its the same exact hardware!!!

Any and ALL advice is greatly appreciated... THX in advance!!!

Message was edited by: J Sebastian Inigo **UPDATE** I noticed that on Win8, it updates HD 4000 with WDDM Graphics Drivers... And on Win8.1 Pro they're not WDDM... And I can't update manually because it says I do no meet the minimum requirements... WinSAT aborts DX11/11 Assessments due to the graphics driver not being WDDM...

Hi,

I have an Problem with my HTPC. The System is an fresh installed (no Upgrade from 8.0)  Windows 8.1 (64 bit) System.

Hardware:      Asus H87M-Pro Board with latest Bios 0906

                    Intel i5 4570s with hd4600 Graphic

                    LG 60LA7408-ZA TV

The TV is direct connected with an HDMI cable (no HDMI switch or amplifier).

Software:       Windows 8.1 64 bit German with Media Center (all drivers up to date)

Intel Graphic driver Version 3316 (installed from zip in Device Manager)

The Problem: If I start the PC (TV is on), all works fine. If I change the Input on the TV or Power off the TV, the Sound is lost. After reconnect, the Audio Settings show the HDMI Sound as not connected. Reconnecting is not possible. Disconnecting  HDMI Cable and Reconnect Cable does not work. If i Reboot the PC, all works fine.

I have checked this with 3 HDMI cable, the original Driver from ASUS, the Driver from Windows Update, the Driver from your downloadsite and with the driver found here on board.

intel, please correct this, Thanks!!!!!

I attached 2 Files created with dxdiag (with and without sound).

Thanks for help.
