I have an Asus K55A with an Intel core i5 processor.

I installed windows 8.1 today and now my graphics adapter's driver is crashed. I cannot view multiple monitors or adjust my screen resolution settings as it is defaulting to the default microsoft driver.

I have updated to Driver Version:

10.18.10.3316

I still get this notice in the device manager:

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

Object Name not found.

Can anyone advise, as I MUST have multiple monitors for work.

Thanks

HD 4000 Windows won't boot after installing driver

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my system. I am fairly convinced it's an issue with the integrated graphics. From searching the forum it looks as though many people are having similar problems, but as of yet I've seen no solution.

My problem is very similar to the one described here: https://communities.intel.com/message/168321

My system setup is a follows:

+ Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H Rev 1.1 motherboard

+ Intel Core i5 3570K CPU

+ 16GB (4x4GB) Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600 memory

+ OCZ Vertex Plus+ SSD

+ Corsair CX600M PSU

+ Windows 7 64 bit

The whole problem started when my motherboard failed initially when some of the VRM components blew up. I've since had the motherboard replaced (twice) but am now having the issue with the integrated graphics. I should mention that I RMA'ed the CPU and RAM but both where returned as non-faulty.

Anyway I performed a fresh install of Windows 7 and installed all the chipset drivers that came with my motherboard (with the exception of the HD 4000 driver). The system worked fine, booted reliably etc. However once I install the HD 4000 graphics driver the system no long boots into Windows, instead it hangs and I get a black screen. It seems to be getting stuck at 'classpnp.sys'.

Now, booting into safe mode and disabling the HD 4000 driver solves the booting problem. I am then able to boot normally. Graphically everything appears fine using the Standard VGA adapter driver provided with Windows. As soon as I re-enable or re-install the HD 4000 graphics driver the system hangs again on boot up.

I've tried countless uninstalls, installs, different driver versions and nothing works!

I've no idea how to solve this issue. I've contacted Gigabyte and am waiting on a reply from them.

Regards,

Simon

any attempt to use i5 native HD graphics fails consistently

Environment:

i5 processor i5-3470 @ 3.2 GHz, '2500' graphics

Win7PRO-64

Gigabyte motherboard: GA-B75M-D3H ver 1.1

8 GB RAM

All attempts at using the Intel HD graphics capability, including the very latest Intel drivers, dated January 2014, cause BSOD upon reboot.

Must go back to safe mode, delete the driver in its entirety, and revert to VGA.

I have tried a different motherboard, different RAM, many deep parity check scans, you name it.

This has been a consistent failure, and has been so, has never worked, for ANY of the HD drivers issued, since I assembled the computer about a year ago.

Well, the computer runs perfectly otherwise!  But I cannot run programs such as Google Earth, or, any of my CAD software.  I do not use this computer for gaming.

Is there any hope that a driver will someday come out that will enable the on chip graphics, or, should I just give up and buy some other computer?

Intel HD Graphics issues

Hello, recently I've been having some issues with my Intel HD Graphics 4600. These issues first occurred when I installed the optional update called:

Graphics forum.png
(Sorry it's in picture format)

I installed it with Bitdefender, after when I restarted my framerate dropped in games and buttons that change colour when you hover over them, they took longer to change colour, for example:

This became annoying very quickly, I uninstalled the whole driver and reinstalled it with Driver Booster, that didn't work so I uninstalled it again and I tried to install it again but downloading the drivers only from the Intel website, this has lead me to another problem. When I installed the first base driver (Driver Version: 10) and then tried to install the update for it (Driver Version: 10 to 15) it didn't update when I restarted.

If you could please help me I would be most grateful. Thank You

black screen on monitor using hdmi with intel hd4000

I'm banging my head for two weeks now , trying to find a solution for this issue.

After reading the posts here, i see that I'm not the only one having it.

my laptop is Lenovo S440, comes with switchable graphics (amd+intel hd)

when i connect a monitor using hdmi cable to the hdmi port i get a black screen on the monitor.

seems like the monitor get some signal from the laptop, but it stays black.

installing latest driver from lenovo or intel site didn't work as well as trying to upgrade the amd drivers.

also, i've disabled the switchable graphics from bios, to make sure only intel graphics are used - still the same black screen.

also trying to use different cable and monitor - still the same.

is there any cure for this ???al

I have an Intel DH87RL motherboard with a Haswell CPU and Win8, and I have the issue with the HDMI audio device disapperaing aftaer standby or turning off the AC reciever...

I have followed the instructions here https://communities.intel.com/message/218663#218663 with no Lock - I have the newest BIOS from 12/04 and also the newest drivers - 3345.

I don't have the issue with the previous driver, but then I have other issues.

So as stated in the thread above I'd like to ask my mobo manufacturer if a new BIOS is on the way?

Windows *7/8/8.1 GFX Driver Version 3412

Greetings everyone!

We have officially launched our latest driver supporting 3rd and 4th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® HD/Iris™ Graphics for Microsoft* Windows 7, 8, & 8.1.  The version is 3412 and is available at the following locations.

32-bit: Driver Download here - Release notes here

64-bit: Driver Download here - Release notes here

Also; Windows* 8/8.1 Graphics FAQ.

Please provide only constructive feedback here.  Harassing comments, needless insults and personal attacks are not permitted, and will be promptly deleted.

If there are issues that carried over from previous drivers that you are still experiencing, feel free to announce them again here.  I'll give a good list here though;

  • Some users are still experiencing either black screens OR Code43/31 issues on systems that utilize either 3rd party graphics cards or are using Intel-graphics only systems.  If you are still having this issue, please provide that information here alongside an updated dxdiag report, and your system/motherboard model.
  • Sonic & All-Stars Racing* - This game was previously experiencing black screens during game-loading an character-loading.  These issues should be resolved with this driver.
  • Netflix* experiencing screen distortion and loss of video/audio quality while being played in 5.1 sound.  This issue has not been able to be reproduced internally, and therefore we have been unable to diagnose the issue.
  • Pokemon TCG Online* - This game is experiencing intermittent crashes at random times during game play and menu navigation.  This issue has been reproduced internally and we are attempting to diagnose whether this is an application failure or graphics driver failure.
  • Display Audio Loss over AV/R or locally when a system goes to sleep/standby.  This issue has been partially resolved.  We have released BIOS updates for affected 8 Series boards/NUC's which resolves the issue.  For users who are still experiencing the issue on non-Intel manufactured systems/boards, refer to the instructions in this thread;  HDMI Audio Loss - Call To Action
  • Display Audio Loss over AV/R or locally when a system goes to sleep/standby.  This issue is still in the process of being resolved.  The resolution is not the same as what we provided via BIOS update for the 8 Series boards/NUC's, so it has not been a simple fix.
  • Low Memory errors.  If you are still experiencing this issue with this driver, please provide that information in this thread alongside an updated dxdiag report and Intel Graphics Report.

if I have missed any, it is not because we are not aware of them!  However, please feel free to remind me of them regardless.

If you are having trouble with installing the driver, it can be for various reasons.  Most commonly, it is because your system currently has a driver that was installed by your OEM, and those drivers present various error messages to the effect of "this driver is not suitable for your computer because your OEM said so!".  If that is the case, you should follow the Manual Driver Installation instructions to install your driver (this is prefaced by downloading the .ZIP version of the driver from the links above).

I ask that you preface the feedback with aboldedheading so that it will be easier to identify, example: Control Panel: It would be cool if X was added.  BUG: This application is now crashing and it didn't with the last driver!

I also ask that you keep focused on this specific driver.  Any off-topic/off-driver/off-product comments will be promptly deleted!  If you have any issues with installing the driver, or are unable to get to the driver download pages linked above, please submit those comments in an original thread. Also, please do not message me or any of the other Intel representatives directly about issues with the driver, keep them in this thread - it will be checked daily.

Thank you for your feedback and contributions!

Windows 8/8.1 Intel HD 4000 Laptop Graphics Driver Problem!!!

$

Hello!!!

I'm in in urgent need of some assistance concerning Intel® HD 4000 drivers for Windows 8/8.1 (x64)  Here are my specs:

Asus K55A Notebook

Intel Core i3-3110M @ 2.40 GHz

Intel HD 4000 iGPU

Samsung 840 SSD 250 GB

Kingston HyperX 8 GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz

Windows 8.1 Pro (x64) RTM Build 9600 (CURRENT OS)

The problem is as follows... Originally my notebook came with Windows 8 (x64) Single Language GDR version on a 750 GB HDD... And HD 4000 drivers were v9.x (2828) I updated to v9.18.10.3257 and then Windows 8 updated it normally up to v10.18.10.3412... Now I noticed that with the v9.x(3257) driver I had Dx11.1 installed and hardware support for Dx11.1 and WinSAT ran and showed the Dx10/11 Graphics, DWM and Gaming scores... When Windows updated to the v10.x(3412) drivers... DirectX dropped to 11.0 hardware support, when my hardware actually supports 11.1...

Here's the doozy... On my SSD I have a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro (x64) RTM version Build 9600... And Windows 8.1 is FORCING me to install HD 4000 driver v10.x(3308) And WinSAT Graphics scores have dropped from a Gaming Score of 6.9 to 5.1 and the Dx10/11 part of the tests are no "0" and DirectX is now 11.2 installed and Hardware support is 11.0... I repeat my hardware supports Dx11.1 as it would show on Windows 8 running the v9.x series drivers... What is the deal??? Am I missing something??? I have horrible Windows 8.1 Desktop graphics quality... IE 11 and anything in Metro or "Change PC Settings"  have very, very poor quality... all the letters are highly pixelated and distorted... On the desktop screen the icons are really blurry and the text is fuzzy... I don't get it!!! My notebook LED LCD screen is HD LED at 1367x768... HD 4000 is set to High Performance Mode... Why is it that with Windows 8 it does update to HD 4000 drivers v10.18.10.3412 from Windows Update and with Windows 8.1 Pro... Windows Update forces me to use v10.17.10.3308... How is that possible since its the same notebook!!! The only difference is me swapping the HDD with Win8 Single Language OEM to the SSD with Win8.1 Pro... I mean its the same exact hardware!!!

Any and ALL advice is greatly appreciated... THX in advance!!!

Message was edited by: J Sebastian Inigo **UPDATE** I noticed that on Win8, it updates HD 4000 with WDDM Graphics Drivers... And on Win8.1 Pro they're not WDDM... And I can't update manually because it says I do no meet the minimum requirements... WinSAT aborts DX11/11 Assessments due to the graphics driver not being WDDM...

I have an Problem with my HTPC. The System is an fresh installed (no Upgrade from 8.0)  Windows 8.1 (64 bit) System.

Hardware:      Asus H87M-Pro Board with latest Bios 0906

                    Intel i5 4570s with hd4600 Graphic

                    LG 60LA7408-ZA TV

The TV is direct connected with an HDMI cable (no HDMI switch or amplifier).

Software:       Windows 8.1 64 bit German with Media Center (all drivers up to date)

Intel Graphic driver Version 3316 (installed from zip in Device Manager)

The Problem: If I start the PC (TV is on), all works fine. If I change the Input on the TV or Power off the TV, the Sound is lost. After reconnect, the Audio Settings show the HDMI Sound as not connected. Reconnecting is not possible. Disconnecting  HDMI Cable and Reconnect Cable does not work. If i Reboot the PC, all works fine.

I have checked this with 3 HDMI cable, the original Driver from ASUS, the Driver from Windows Update, the Driver from your downloadsite and with the driver found here on board.

intel, please correct this, Thanks!!!!!

I attached 2 Files created with dxdiag (with and without sound).

Thanks for help.

HD 3000 driver forced subpixel antialising after update to 9.x version

$

I have Lenovo X220 notebook (Core i5, HD 3000), Windows 7 x64 SP1. I can't stand any kind of antialiasing so I use Windows Classic theme and have ClearType disabled in Performance Options.

After video driver update from version 8.15.10.2769 to 9.17.10.2843 (Lenovo specific versions) I noticed the black text on grey background is blurry and some kind of antialiasing (different than the Windows one) was applied after the update. I couldn't find any way to disable it, no such option in Intel Graphics panel. The only way to get rid of it was rollback to old 8 version. Notice I'm talking about Windows desktop, not a 3D games.

Is there any solution for it (at least edit a value in registry) ? I don't want to use older (possibly buggy and vulnerable) version but this kind of forced antialiasing is blocking issue for me. Attached screenshot (poor image quality) shows the difference, it needs a fullscreen view. Notice the forced red "ghosting" on the right edge of black pixels.

IntelDriver.jpg

More observations. It affects all output on the notebook display, not a text rendering only. For example BMP or PNG image with screenshot of Start menu without antialiased text also looks blurry now. On the other hand digital output to external monitor is not affected (not blurry). It seems as the new driver set some kind of hardware antialiasing (or less sharpness) in the notebook display controller, is it possible ? I've tried all advanced Intel Graphics panel settings and nothing helped.

The change (non-blurry to blurry text) happens in the middle of a new driver installation, even before restart.

Thanks.

Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 lags, help please?

I'm not really a tech sort of person so I'm not really sure how to go about this because all the terms for what board and what drive thingy are unfamiliar.

Product name: HP ENVY 4 Notebook PC

Serial No.: CND225Y78Y

Product No.: B6V27PA#AB4

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1

Micrprocessor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3317U CPU @ 1.70GHz

Graphics device 1: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

This laptop was running fine for quite a while after I started using it, but a few months ago, somehow it started to lag really really badly every time I switch on the laptop. I noticed that after a long while, there's a pop up that says:

Display Driver stopped responding and has recovered

Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows 7(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

I've tried searching on how to solve this issue and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it still lags for a long time whenever I switch on my laptop. This lag really gets in the way when I need to do my work.

Some help would be truly appreciated.

Cannot get anything higher than 1080P out of Toshiba HDMI port

$

Hi all,

Hoping for some help- I've picked up a Toshiba P75-A7200 laptop, and the specs state that the HDMI port will support up to 4K out.  The unit has Intel 4600HD graphics, so that supports 4K also.

I've got a ViewSonic VP2770-LED monitor (1440P) and would like to run it at its native resolution of 1440P.

I have tried three different HDMI cables, each claiming 1.4a support.  The monitor works great at 1440P via both dual-link DVI and DisplayPort (neither of which the Toshiba has).

I've tried the latest Toshiba display drivers, the latest Intel display drivers, Windows 7x64, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 pro, with no success.

When I try to enter 2560*1440, 32-bit, at 30, 40, 50, or 60Hz, (using the CustomModeApp utility) I get  'resolution selected exceeds maximum bandwidth' error.  Based on the 4K support, I shouldn't be anywhere near the bandwidth limit.

Any ideas?  I'm stumped.

Haswell 4400 no XP/2003 driver... INCREDIBLE!!!

Hi...

I've recently been contacted for the upgrade of several computers in a small company (~20 PSs)

After surveying the market I decided for Upgrade the core PCs with a new Board+CPU+Memory

I've decided for boards with Intel H81M chipset, Intel CPU i3 for the Workstations and i7 CPU to the 3 Servers...

Bought the material, replaced the old material... updated the drivers ---> THEN... ---> BIG PROBLEM...

no Windows XP or Windows 2003 drivers for  the graphics card... ?What... can't be true

I can't believe this fault from intel... this 2 Operating Systems still have millions of users...

There is no possibility of upgrading to Windows 7 ou 8 at this time... and no Will too... the installed OS's do the

job OK... and the users are happy with them...

Scanned the internet for some solution for this problem... but again...

I CAN'T BELIEVE INTEL HAS NOT DONE DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS XP/2003 (NT5x)...

Please someone point me to a solution... I dont want to buy 20 vga's just because of the driver issue...

Hello Graphics Communities!

For a very long time now we've been trying to track down, diagnose, and correct an issue that seems to be happening all across the board with Intel® Graphics.  Users, for various reasons - seem to have issues with OEM systems (and Intel® NUC's) losing their display for different events.

  • Installing new drivers
  • Rebooting
  • Computers idling, going into sleep or hibernation
  • Other random events

We have run into a stumbling block in fixing this issue, and that is that we are unable to reproduce the symptoms above.  We have ordered exact-matching systems, displays and cables - and matched our configurations to those of the users having problems, and we are completely unable to reproduce the problem.  The issue is complex, but in this particular case - it stems from the fact that two users with the same configuration are not guaranteed to have the problem, it varies from user to user, system to system, display to display.

What we at Intel® are asking now though is 2-fold.  If you are one of these users (or a business) experiencing a consistent black-screening issue as mentioned above, we would like to procure your COMPLETE system configuration.  This means, we want you to ship us (at our expense) - the System (desktop or laptop), display (TV, monitor) AND the cable (hdmi, dp, dvi, vga) used by your system when it starts to have a blackscreen failure.  If you are willing to do this, you should be aware that we will keep your system for an extended period, and will compensate you by replacing your setup.

NOW!  Even if you are not willing to send us your system, and would just like to inform us that you have a black-screen issue.  That is okay too. Even if you have already submitted this info in some of our other black-screen threads, feel free to submit it here too.  Please submit the following information into this thread so that we can continue to document all possible instances of it.  Just copy and paste the below list and put in relevant information (completely!).  *NOTE* If you have not already done so, please update your BIOS and Display Driver to the latest version available.  We cannot accept a report of a failing configuration that is not up to date.  Additionally, if you are running your display through a 3rd party device such as a projector or an AV/R (receiver), you need to show that the problem still occurs without the extra device connected (a direct connection from system to display is required).

Are you willing to send your system to us? (Yes/No)
Is your system a laptop or desktop?
If desktop, is it custom built, or manufactured?
If desktop, what is the make/model of your motherboard?
What is the make/model of your system? (COMPLETE model name required)
What is the model of your CPU?
What is the make/model of your failing display(s)?
If laptop, is your built-in display failing? (Yes/No)
What is your operating system?
Is it a 64-bit or 32-bit operating system?
What display driver version do you have installed?
What type of connection are you using? (HDMI, VGA, DP, DVI?)
What happens that results in the blackscreen failure?

Any/all information is valuable.

Thank you for your information & cooperation!
