Have bought 2 Asus Zenbooks with same problem in last 2 wks.  i5-6200U processor, 64 bit Windows10 preloaded, HD Intel Graphics 520 - Screen will go black, then recover and  message pops up "Display Driver Intel HD graphics driver for Windows 8 stopped responding and has recovered."

Intel HD 4600 - DVI only, no HDMI video

I have followed all of the recommendations I have seen on the forums and still have the same issue.

I have an ASRock H87 Pro4. I use the DVI out to one monitor, and the HDMI out to another. They are both Asus VS228s running 1080p at 60Hz.

I am no longer able to use the HDMI port, only the DVI port works in Windows.

I have tried the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Updated BIOS
  2. Installed the latest graphics drivers (the second display worked after the installation, didn't work after rebooting)
  3. Uninstalled the graphics drivers. (the second display worked, but without the driver it ran at 640x480 or 800x600, didn't check)
  4. Installed the latest graphics drivers (again, the second display worked after the installation, didn't work after rebooting)

The HDMI port works while in the BIOS screens and bootup screen of Windows, but goes black immediately after beginning to load the login screen.

Isuues with graphics driver on Win7

Hello everyone!

I have issues playing videos from the internet.(streaming). They just don't seem right, the video is splitted into multiple blocks that are unsyncked. I only have the issue with online videos. (and sometimes, maybe while scrolling fast,..)
I did everything I could, but there is one thing that failed and failed:
trying to update my Intel graphics driver.
I have a laptop with Intel Core i5, 3rd gen. Intel HD graphics 4000.
First I had a old driver installed, after that I updated the driver. Now it is still now the newest. I tried more ways:
1) installing via Intel driver Update Utiliy

2) installing from exe

3) installing from zip

I got multiple errors or bad situations:

-driver updated, but not to the latest version

-computer is not compatible

let me emphasize the first one:

especially Intel Update driver utiliy tell me that I have version 10.x.y.... installed and that version 15.x.y.. is available. no matter what I do, while installing, the driver will install the audio driver and the the 10.x.y version. No 15. If I run intel update utility 10 times, each times installing, I am stuck at the same version and it tells me a newer one is available,..
Any help would be apreciated.

Thank you!

Intel Display Audio and Hyper-V

A week ago I setup a new machine with a Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 motherboard and a Intel i5-4590 processor running Windows 10 Pro. I have all of the latest Intel drivers for video and the hdmi audio driver. I use the machine for a media server connected to my Samsung TV via HDMI. I had been having trouble with the Audio not working over HDMI. I had uninstalled and reinstalled the video/hdmi drivers many times with no change. I have a spare Nvidia graphics card that has HDMI audio that I tried and this card and the audio works fine. After some research and trial and error I uninstalled Hyper-V and the Intel HDMI audio worked fine after that. Are there any beta intel Display/Audio drives to try to see if they will work in Hyper-V on Windows 10? And just to confirm I had tried the latest driver from Intel as well as the motherboard manufacture. I had even tried an older Intel HDMI audio driver but that did not change the results when Hyper-V was installed.

Thank You.

I recently bought an alienware.

I have an intel core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz.

Its running Windows 10.

With the NVIDIA GeFore GTX 970M.

I purchased SW Battlefront and I went to play it but I received this message: Detected intel driver version #1 10.18.15.4256 07/17/2015 00:00:00 #2 10.18.13.5362 07/12/2015 00:00:00. The recommended driver version is xx.xx.14.4264 or later. Please update your drivers at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/ before playing the game.

But my computer and the Intel Driver Update utility claim that my drivers are up to date.

display driver stopped responding and has recovered error

I bought a new star wars special edition computer on the 5th of November and immediately had this error start popping up on the screen from the right just above the time area the first day I got it. It came with a free service of free lifetime tech support, so I started calling them. I called them like 6 times and they told me it could be several things, first it was a pop ups, it wasn't, then it was outdated drivers, it wasn't, then told me they couldn't fix it, that I had to call HP because that's who made the computer. So I called HP, they told me they could fix it and tried whatever, then said that it would fix itself IF I restored the computer to factory specs, so I did that, and it did NOT work. They told me they would send a tech out to repair it IF it did not, and then when they called the next day to check in on it they told me they didn't have the parts to send a tech for that specific part, so they lied to me. It's a brand new computer, yet they originally told me well you don't have an in home warranty ?? So I said so what would you have said if I DID have an in home warranty? Oh I'm sorry we don't have the part we can't send a tech? I don't believe you don't have the parts for that part but they told me they have the parts for everything else for it but that. So I reordered another computer from QVC, and prepared the other computer to send back. I JUST got the 2nd computer on the 25th of November, yestereday about noon. I've been working on that computer and adding things to it and updating it all day and getting it ready and then just less than 20 minutes ago the same damn message just appeared on THIS one. There is NO WAY that both of these computers have bad display units, there has to be something else simple that everyone else is missing that is causing this message to keep appearing.  I took a picture of the message at one point when it happened on the 1st computer, it comes up and will cause a black screen then I have to click on it or opposite click on my wireless mouse to get the black screen to clear before the black screen will go away. What is causing this????  Someone please help me??

display driver message that it stopped but recovered.

Why do i get a repeated  notification that says something like this:" display driver for intel hd graphics for windows  8(r) has stopped working but has recovered." I have a new windows 10 PC. What can I do to correct the problem.  I am not expert but Dell's tech person,  who did try to find a solution, apparently  isn't either.

Intel HD Graphics 4600 (Asus G750JM) connected to BENQ XL2420T (120Hz capable monitor) via Displayport would only go up to 1920x1080 @100Hz and no option to go @120Hz.

Hi

I have an ASUS G750JM running i7 4710HQ and 2 GB Nvidia GTX 860m with Intel Graphics 4600 integrated.

I recently bought a BENQ XL2420T which supports 120Hz refresh rate.

On the display settings, connected via mini displayport to displayport cable, it can only go up to 1920x1080 @100Hz. There is no 1920x1080 @120Hz option.

Please Help.

Samsung TV screen, connected to PC via HDMI, is blinking each 2-3 seconds.

Hello,

My PC is based on Intel  Core i5-4460 CPU with Intel HD 4600 Graphics. I'm trying to connect via HDMI my Samsung UE32SS5500 TV as a second monitor. However, rthe TV screen is blinking. I've been trying to choose appropriate resolution and frequency via Intel HD Graphics Control Panel, but the screen continues blinking.  I inquired for supported modes in TV Manual, but it doesn't help.

Can anybody suggest something?

Thanks in advance

Dear Community,

I've been redirected here from Intel support, the case ID is 8001269420. They said "a graphics agent can pull up all your information and continue helping you with your issue." I'd be really grateful if such an agent would turn up and help, as I'm trying to solve this problem since about 2 months now. I can reproduce all the information regarding the issue here, but would prefer not to do so f it's not needed.

Thanks,

Herr S

How can I create a custom resolution on a laptop ?

$
0
0

Hello :-)

I'm new and I'm French (sorry if my English is not good, I will do my best). I would like to know how I can create a custom resolution.

My config :

CPU : Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40Ghz

GPU : NVidia GeForce GT 740M (+ Intel HD 4600 chipset with Optimus)

RAM : 4 Go

OS : Windows 7 Pro 64 bits

My PC is a Toshiba Satellite L50-A-1DG.

There aren't any options in the NVidia Control Panel for that. So I suppose that it should be in the Intel HD Control HD because the desktop is managed by the Intel chipset apparently.

But no options too. It's like on this picture (left NVidia ; right Intel HD) :

http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/46/1447456166-config-nvidia-intel-hd.png

I explain why I want to create a custom resolution. It's for some old games with 4:3 aspect ratio. With my native resolution (when I plug with my TV) I have a stretched image in 1920x1080 for these games, and I want to have a no streched image, so in 4:3 and a resolution of 1440x1080 (or 1920x1080 with black bars on the sides).

I tried on my other PC with an AMD card, and it was extremely easy to create.

I think with NVidia it shouldn't be very harder, but I'm on a laptop with this bad Optimus technologie and as I said, apparently the resolution is managed by the Intel HD chipset and not the NVidia graphic card... :-/ And so I don't know if i must search in NVidia Control Panel or Intel HD Control Panel or if I can do what I want.

So, if someone could help me please, it would be cool ! Thanks ;-)

Support for Intel HD Graphics on the Intel Graphics 520

I am probably going to sound like a broken record or be one of many who has mentioned this, but, I am encountering the occasional screen flicker and my HD Graphics drivers for Windows 8 failing in Windows 10. Is there any word on updated drivers specifically for Windows 10 and when might those be available? I am running the i7-6500U if that helps at all. Any answers are greatly appreciated.

When will "Forced Application Scaling" feature be available to Windows 10 users?

$

I recently bought a 14" Razer Blade QHD+ with an Intel i7-4729HQ. The conflict I'm having are with poor game application scaling as texts appear to be larger (i.e. League of Legends) or smaller (Smite, DOTA 2) and I have to adjust the resolution accordingly below 3200x1800 which is the best resolution for my display.

When will the feature be available? Will it be bettter if I just downgraded to Windows 8?

Regards,

Gabriel
