Description

Provide a detailed description of the issue

Performance problems with 4K Youtube videos and performance problems with flash videos in general (regardless of resolution) in fullscreen.

4K Youtube stutters and it's being delivered via VP9 codec.

e.g. COSTA RICA IN 4K 60fps (ULTRA HD) w/ Freefly Movi - YouTube at 4k resolution

Normal flash videos have tearing and stuttering in full screen mode. In window mode they seem to be fine.

e.g. VIDEO/EC-RED-BULL-SALZBURG-UPC-VIENNA-CAPITALS | LAOLA1.tv

Hi Intel,

Couple of questions.

1. When do you estimate to have released an updated driver to cater for the Intel HD Fallout 4 graphics problems?
2. I have seen that you have released a beta version you recomend but I cannot find any beta that suits my computer:

Computer specs: Lenovo Yoga Pro 3

Windows 10, 64 bit

Intel® Core™ i7-5500U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.00 GHz)

Thank you for your help !

I have just installed Windows 10 on my MSI GP70 Leopard laptop, and there is a problem with the graphics driver update:  Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 - Error 0x800f022d , what can be done to fix this?

Intel HD Graphics 4000 and Windows 10 November Update (Build 10586) Compatibility

I am using the latest version of the 4000 graphics drivers (15.33.39.4276) on Windows 10 64-bit build 10586 (November update). I noticed some compatibility issues with the driver when running Photoshop CC 2015 and the graphics driver crashes/does not work properly after opening Photoshop. I also noticed that taskbar thumbnail previews disappear quickly when hovering the mouse pointer over that thumbnail preview, making it difficult to change apps by using the taskbar thumbnail previews. This same behavior does not occur with the latest drivers installed on Windows 10 build 10240. Is there any workaround for this besides going back to Windows 10 build 10240? Since the latest Intel 6th generation graphics drivers have been updated to support Windows 10 build 10586, will the latest version of Windows 10 be supported by the Intel HD graphics 4000 drivers in the future?

Intel Graphics Control Panel doesn't open after driver update

I have Dell Inspiron 15R running Windows 8 64-bit with switchable graphics (Intel HD Graphics 4400 + AMD Radeon HD 8850M). I was using the stock drivers for both graphics cards until today. I decided to do the driver update to the Intel card (version 10.18.14.4264) that I've been delaying for a while. The AMD card had no new updates so no change happened to it.

Both the cards are identified in the Windows Device Manager and seems to be working properly. The only problem now is that Intel Graphics Control Panel disappeared from my right-click menu and from the system tray as well. I can find it in the Start menu but whenever I try to open it, it just doesn't open anymore. The AMD Catalyst Control Center is working properly however.

This is strange because I used to have both working together without any problems before I update my Intel card.

My question is: Is that normal or is there something wrong with my system now?
Is it because I have switchable graphics so my system now disables the Intel control panel with the new driver version for instance?
Also, do I really need the Intel Control Panel anyway?

Thanks!

Minecraft is saying that the 'ig8icd64.dll' causing a driver problem. I have downloaded the newest version from my manufacturer's website. They are saying that you need to add Java Arguments to let Minecraft work, but if you NEED to do that to play a game... Some people don't know that and Minecraft needs to fix that. But, if i search for a update on Intels site then i download it and run it, but then my system is saying that it is not compatible with my computer!
I have:
ASUS Windows 10© 64 bit
Intel i7-5500U processor
Intel HD Graphics 5500
Downloaded version '20.19.15.4300' from ASUS's website, 4.4.0

CONCLUSION

Why the drivers from Intel's site are 'not compatible'?

And: When there will come a new update? Because it looks weird if Intel have not released version 20.19.15.4300 but my manufacturer...?

Why is there no driver listing for Intel HD 5600?

Intel HD 5600 (Intel Core i7-5700HQ)

I know I can just download the driver for 5500 or 6000, they basically support the graphic cards from the same generation, but why isn't there a listing for HD 5600? It is extremely frustrating and confusing, because it looks like Intel isn't taking this 5th generation CPU seriously, and it's definitely not because it is out-of-date. When i go to nvidia driver download page, everything is neat and tidy: choose your graphic card generation, model and there is the driver.

Another problem is that the driver is not updated very often, take version 15.40.10.4300 for example: this is the latest version (stable) I can find for my gpu. Now, in the search result page it says the date is Jan 28th, 2016, but if you click into the download page, it's now from Oct 26th, 2015! And if I scroll down, there are tons of "KNOWN ISSUES" that are waiting to be fixed. Right now it's March 13th, 2016, and not a single driver has been released yet.

Can someone from Intel take this issue seriously please.

Graphics corruption in Fallout 4 since 1.3 patch

$

Since Fallout 4's 1.3(.47) patch, I (and many, many others) have been experiencing texture issues that make the game unplayable. I have an Iris 5100, but the problem seems to be universal across all Intel GPUs, regardless of hardware.

XztZJmb.jpg

More images are in this gallery here. Basically, the textures stretch and warp, almost always obscuring your view and looking like a mess. It's interesting to note that this does not happen to player/character models, although it's difficult to discern what these textures originally were to begin with. Updating to the latest beta driver does not fix it (although I'd never seen the bright red texture glitch in the gallery before it, so... there's that).

I originally believed this to be a problem combining Apple hardware (I'm using a late-2013 rMBP) with the Intel GPU, which is not officially supported by Bethesda (the game's publisher), but since then I've encountered many people across the internet on other hardware who are encountering the same issue. In fact, there seems to be something about the 1.3 update that screwed up textures for a lot of people with integrated graphics, including those with AMD.

Someone will probably inevitably say that Apple has requested that all issues with their products should be directed through their support, but quite frankly, this doesn't seem like an Apple problem (and the Apple person I talked to agreed with me, saying they can only work to apply fixes within OS X). The game was made by Bethesda, runs solely in a Windows environment, and the common denominator seems to be the Intel GPU. Bethesda is aware of the problem, but are under no obligation to support users of hardware they never offered support to. While I don't know much about driver programming, I feel like this is an issue that will most likely be solved by you at Intel if it is solved at all. You also are under no obligation to solve the problem, and if you can't, no hard feelings (really). This GPU has felt like "the little graphics card that could", given the amount I've put it through, and this is the first game I've encountered that is entirely unplayable because of it.

I unknowingly solved the crashing problems already known by installing ENBoost, a utility that is known to boost performance -- for some reason it completely stops the crashing other Intel users have been experiencing. The game runs just fine on versions 1.1 (release) and 1.2, and I'm continuing to play the game thanks to downgrade patches, but any future content will be unavailable unless the issue is fixed.

I've attached the Intel SSU diagnostics, DxDiag, and DispDiag for reference, but a summary of my system specs is as follows: Macbook Pro Retina, Late-2013, Intel Core i5-4258U CPU @ 2.40GHz, Intel Iris Graphics 5100, 8GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro, graphics driver version 20.19.15.4380 (which I think is the beta driver? don't know what else it would be, since I turned auto-updates off and haven't installed another since). I was previously on the last stable release, which I found to run significantly better than the Apple-provided one that installs during Boot Camp.

Sorry for the info dump, I'm just really interested in helping to figure out a solution if possible. I know this has been posted about a few times as well, hope this isn't a problem as I didn't want to hijack any more threads. If there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know -- I'm hoping I'll be able to get some users not on Apple hardware to post their information as well. Thank you in advance!

With HD530 (Skylake) no shadow under mouse pointer

Hello to all,

I have an interesting problem which is pretty annoying. My system is with i5 Skylake with HD530 and W10.

IntelHD Graphics prefs has a setting for spectrum range, I had to select full spectrum range, and then the shadows appear until the next system restart.

Does anybody know how to turn on shadow below mouse pointer permanently?

Also in Photoshop my pointer looks weird, everything with the pointer is weird. I think my question should be addressed to Intel: Can you make the driver work 100%? A shadow is really the last thing I would be expecting to be an issue. Customers are paying quite big money for Intel products, so we expect quality products and services.

Thank you for any help.

Hi,

Is there anyway to upgrade the video memory with a Intel HD Graphics 5500? It says there's up to 3839 MB Dynamic Video Memory. Right now, I'm pretty sure its at 128 MB.

Thanks.

I have an ASUS AIO desktop computer with Windows 10 Home. It has an INTEL HD Graphics 2500; driver version 10.18.10.4358. Installed directX version 12.0, supported directx version 11.0, shader version 5.0, opengl version 4.0, opencl version 1.2. When I try to run Farming simulator 15 it keeps giving me the error: "Error: Could not init 3D system. Shader model 3.0 is required. Please install the latest video drivers." I have updated everything and cannot get past this error. Please help.

Random partial rendering with Microsoft Photo Gallery

Hello,

Photo display with Microsoft Photo Gallery is randomly corrupted : when switching photo, part of the previous one can stay on screen, mostly on upper section. It looks like the next photo is not finished rendering before it is sent to display.

The problem appeared with 15.40.12.4326 beta, based on the versions I was able to find:

15.40.04.4256OK
15.40.07.4279OK
15.40.10.4300OK
15.40.12.4326BKO
15.40.14.4352KO
15.40.18.4380BKO

Rolling back to 4300 solves the problem.

Specs :

Intel i5-6600K (Intel HD Graphics 530)

ASUS Z170-A

DVI display

Windows 10 Pro 64

The problem is present with regular operating frequencies (CPU stock and RAM@2133MHz).

Changing the amount of RAM dedicated to video unit changes nothing (tried 32M to 512M).

It has been previously pointed out by posts in this forum, but with different hardware:

You will find a screenshot of the problem and Intel System Support Utility XML report attached.

Hello,

Using windows 8.1 , just bought a new laptop, everything works great, I'm even writing from the laptop.

But when I try installing the drivers from lenovo support (intel hd 5500) , screen starts flickering and I can't see nothing, the only way to use the laptop is to restore it to the last point..

I tried like 3-4 versions of the drivers, yet nothing work.

The NVIDIA drivers work without any problem, but intel just gets  flickering...

Using windows 8.1..

Help!!

Intel HD Graphics 530 driver causing screen flickering

Dear Intel Support Team,

I have recently purchased a new laptop, a custom built X BOOK.

The laptop is fitted with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ quad-core and a  GeForce GTX 960M 2GB.

The graphics adapter is an Intel® HD Graphics 530.

The operating system is a Windows 10 Pro 64 bits.

I have a flickering screen problem that is very annoying, the screen keeps flashing on and off, even sometimes showing thin green horizontal lines and this doesn't

go away with a restart or a shutdown.

I disabled the adapter and everything worked fine.

I have the latest version of the driver for the 64 bit CPU architecture.

One thing worth mentioning, is that I didn't have the problem until I installed Visual Studio 2015 !!

I reset my operating system and everything was fine until I installed Visual Studio 2015 again.

Kindest Regards,

Ibrahim Najjar
