Nuc7i7bnh: Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice - no sound in fullscreen

An old problem with this NUC - Intel Display Audio sound getting muted when games are played in fullscreen, has reappeared in this new game.

This was a major problem with many older games until a recent driver update seemed to fix it, but I've noticed it still happens in Hellblade (aswell as a few other games like Dying Light).

Again, when the games are played in windowed mode the sound is fine, it only happens when the games are played in fullscreen.

using from Windows Movies&TV, VLC, MPC-HC, K-Lite Codec Pack to PotPlayer,

PotPlayer perform best but still lag with average 10 FPS.

I've tried update my BIOS, Chipset, Graphic Card Driver from laptops and netbooks :: thinkpad t series laptops :: thinkpad t560 Lenovo PC Support

Still no improve.

I can play 4k content from Youtube just fine. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNJdPyoqt8U)

Memoria ram: 8G
Placa de video: integrada, intel hd graphics 630

placa madre: GA-Z270X-ULTRA GAMING.
fabricante de la placa madre: gigabyte technology co

Our Service Desk environment is rolling out new devices.

Dell Latitude 7480 Laptop

    • i5-6300U @ 2.4GHz
    • HD Graphics 520

Dell WD15/K17A Docking Station

    • VGA port x1
    • HDMI port x1
    • Mini DisplayPort x1

These are the two options we have for monitors. Not everyone has option 2 so we need to know how to make all three monitors work on both setup options.

Dell P2210 Monitors x3 max resolution 1680 x 1050 **(OPTION 1)

    • VGA port x1
    • DVI port x1
    • Displayport (not mini) x1

Dell P2417H Monitors x3 max resolution 1920 x 1080 **(OPTION 2)

    • VGA port x1
    • HDMI port x1
    • Displayport (not mini) x1

Our drivers are fully up to date.

We are using Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit.

We have tried several adapter combos and are in need of guidance.

On my device I have a VGA connected to my main display, an HDMI>VGA adapter connected to HDMI port of dock and can run 2 monitors. That said as soon as I connect a mini display port to display port cable for my third monitor it will ONLY display in 680x450 resolution. The other 2 stay at 1680x1050.

Can anyone please advise which cables we would need for a three monitor setup.

We are losing a lot of productivity with the lessened visual real-estate.

Intel HD Graphics installs fine but won't switch to driver

I have two Optiplex 3010 machines with identical configurations. Both were recently replaced and re-imaged to be redeployed elsewhere in the organization. One machine worked flawlessly. Everything worked exactly as I would've expected. The other... has given be immense issue trying to get it to use the correct video driver for multiple days now.

Windows properly images using DISM. Everything comes up. I install the drivers off of the dell website as usual, windows indicates all of the driver installations have been successful. Except, when I check in device manager the Intel HD Graphics 4000 display adapter is still using the default "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" drivers. So I tell it to update it's driver, I look at the list of drivers on the computer and the intel HD graphics driver that I installed is there. I tell it to use that driver. Windows goes through it's process saying "Installing driver Software" and then says it successfully updated my driver software and lists the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000... but when I click close device manager and the property window still shows "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" and the driver still shows as "vgapnp.sys", not the intel driver.

I've also tried...

Unzipping and installing the drivers from the dell site manually (by unzipping them to a folder, going through the driver update process, selecting have disk, browsing to the directory and selecting the driver there)

Letting windows update install the drivers it has

Downloading the drivers off of the intel website with the .exe installer and installing them.

Downloading the drivers off of the intel website with the zip file, unzipping them and installing them manually as above.

I've looked at all of the BIOS settings I can find to see if there's anything related to it.

I've tried installing drivers in different orders.

I've wiped the CMOS memory.

I've completely uninstalled the VGA adapter from the computer.

When I do so and reboot, it comes back up as "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)". Windows does it's driver software installation and ultimately tells that the driver installation failed. If I look in control panel I can find the "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)" and update it's driver. If I try to install the Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver, it comes back with a code 1 which is the microsoft error code that means there's no driver installed. If I tell it to install the "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" as the driver, it works perfectly and updates the driver to the standard VGA graphics adapter but once again, I still can't update the driver from there to the Intel HD Graphics.

I'm now on my 4th reimaging of the machine trying different things.

I can't even find someone online who's having the same issue. Lots of other similar issues where the drivers won't install or people don't understand how to force windows to install the very specific driver that they need... but every single source that I use for the intel drivers installs successfully. The driver appears in the store. Windows (with the single exception of completely uninstalling the device and letting windows pick it back up at reboot) always tells me that the install was successful and that it's going to use the new driver... but never actually does so. Eventviewer shows the installation of the new driver every time I do so without an error in the log.

How to reset Intel Display Driver to factory defaults

Hi all.  I have an Optiplex 3010 system with Windows 10 installed.  (Came with 7 but I upgraded in the free upgrade period).  It has integrated Intel Graphics, and I would like to reset all settings to Factory defaults as part of troubleshooting.  But when I uninstall the software from Programs and features or directly from the device manager selecting the option to delete the driver, when I reinstall with the software from Dell, or letting Windows install automatically it installs with the settings that it previously had, it never resets.  Is there a way to make a Brand new installation deleting automatically all previous settings?  Like a Factory reset install?  I even used DDU but same thing after reinstall.  Thanks.

I have a refurbished laptop with an Intel HD 3000 graphics adapter.  Running some programs result in an OpenGL error.  I have downloaded and installed the Intel Driver Update Utility software.  When I run it, I receive data confirming that my graphics driver is out of date.  (Installed version: 10.0.15063, Latest version: 10.1.1.14)  I then continue to download the update to C:/Users/Admin/Downloads and run it.  A progress bar appears, and upon completion the program asks me to restart my computer, which I confirm.  The computer restarts.  I open the program again, and nothing has changed.  The driver is still at the same version, and a new version is available.  I have done this multiple times.

I'am using intel i7-7700k processor with intel hd 630 graphics. My motherboard is gigabyte gaming 9 having display port 1.2.I'am using an LG 4k monitor 31MU97-B which supports a resolution of 4096*2160@60p via display port 1.2.When i connect my monitor to display port when booting starts bios logo will come and once the display driver starts loading there is no display output. There is an option in my monitor to disable the display port 1.2 mode. When i disable the display port 1.2 mode i'am getting display output at 3840*2160@30 frames per second(display port 1.1 mode).I'am also having a hdmi 1.4 input in my monitor through which i'am able to get 4096*2160@24 frames per second via motherboard hdmi output.

For testing the monitor i installed an nvidia geforce GTX 670 graphics card and i'am getting 4096*2160@60 frames per second via display port 1.2 output.I'am using the latest intel graphics driver.I also contacted intel support but only got the reply to contact LG.On contacting LG i got a reply that since it is working with graphics card it is not an issue with the monitor.I'am using a minidisplay port to display port cable supplied along with the monitor.

This issue is pending for more than 4 months.Kindly help

IGFXTRAY.EXE doesn't start in Win 7

Hello,

IGFXTRAY.EXE doesn't start in Win 7:

Usually this igfxtray.exe was auto loading at startup as a tray Icon in a taskbar, it was used to modify display's colors/ brightness/ hues etc.....

It started - when I once accidentally clicked on it to EXIT - but I also believed it should start again after next system reboot, but - NO, it exit once and disappeared,

# I am not able to RUN it from Taskbar, nothing happens....

# I am not able to launch it when I go to /system32 and click the igfxtray.exe - nothing happens...

However - IGFXTRAY.exe is still in place and working in my Another User account, but not in my main account;

Also - I am afraid it could be related to Registry (Regedit) problems which I recently had:

I few days earlier - I had problems with Registry - Corrupted Profile and several problems from this, but I imported a few chunks from another similar windows 7 - so I somehow (non-professionally) solved my major problems, but then I had a few other minor problems - like File Association incorrect or similar....

So - How to make igfxtray.exe run again?!

and - have you any suggestions about Registry entries for this application?!

I have a bunch of these machines all having the same issue.  I tried installing different versions of the 4400 series driver.  If the Video Controller (VGA Compatible) is installed the new driver installs but does not stick.  If I install the HD 4400 Series driver with no Video Controller (VGA Compatible) driver installed the HS 4400 Series driver will fail with error:  This device is not configured correctly. (code 1).

Huge Memory Leak + System Lockup with Vulkan on Dolphin Emulator

$

EDIT: For some reason Dolphin now just crashes instead of causing a memory leak. Read other posts for more info.

With the latest dev build (5.0-5077) of the Dolphin Emulator (and older versions as well), when using the Vulkan Backend, memory usage spikes up till there is basically none left all within 3 seconds of launching the game in Dolphin and then locks up the system. I can't move the mouse, CTRL + Alt + Delete does nothing and even the time freezes at the time of the lockup. I'm assuming that it's probably hitting the page file, until that fills up then the system really is screwed. I have to hold the power button till it turns off then turn it back on. I left it on for around 8 minutes after it crashed, but then I ran out of patience since it was still frozen. Also other people are having this problem on the dolphin forums and they say that it's probably a driver issue. Here's a link to one from a person with a Skylake CPU. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-massive-memory-leak-while-using-vulkan-with-intel-hd-520

Here is a screenshot with task manager open with the memory usage.

Sorry for the quality, I wasn't exactly able to take a screenshot for obvious reasons.\

This issue has been mentioned in various guises in five other posts now (and is identical to post 106294), but they have been closed off (unresolved) or are so mixed up that I can’t tell if it is the same thing or not. Therefore I am posting a new post with full details in the hope that Intel can do something about this issue.

I have two one-year old high spec PC’s. Both setups are pretty much the same (win 10 64 bit Enterprise fully up to date) except with the below differences:

PC1:
Intel i7 6th gen processor (i7 6700k)

Graphics: using the Intel HD 530 graphics on the processor

Onboard DP connection to 17” Dell monitor

Onboard HDMI connection to 3D TV

PC2:

Intel i5 6th gen processor (i5 6600k)

Graphics: using PCI express Radeon HD 6670 card

DVI connection on card to 17” Dell monitor

HDMI connection on card to 3D TV

I am using identical installs of PowerDVD 17 ultra (latest) on both PC’s.

I am testing with two 3D tv’s:

  1. 1) Samsung F6400 (active HD 3D TV)
  2. 2) LG OLED 55E6V (passive 4K 3D TV)

The problem is playing 3D iso (mounted) and 3D blu-ray discs (from my internal BD drive) to the LG OLED TV (2D is fine).

Everything works fine from both PC’s to the Samsung TV.

Everything works fine from PC2 to the LG TV.

From PC1 to the LG TV no 3D input is received by the TV.

If I take the graphics card (6yr old graphics card) out of PC2 and put it in PC1, there is no problem.

I have also swapped HDMI cables, HDMI ports on the TV, tried using WinDVD Pro 12, tried all different and latest intel graphics drivers (20.19.15.4624, 21.20.16.4534, 22.20.16.4729). Nothing makes a difference. Thus clearly there is an issue with the intel HD graphics or the way it works with 3D software to produce a 3D signal that can be recognised by the OLED TV.

More detail:

This is what comes up on the LG TV when starting a 3D Blu-Ray when all is working (ie. with the graphics card). This does not come up when starting a 3D blu-ray using PC1 setup. ie. with just the intel HD graphics:

When starting the 3D film on PC1 setup, PowerDVD gives the following message:

This does not happen when using the Radeon card, which also allows playing not in full screen as well.

When playing on PC1 setup with PowerDVD, the film actually plays in 2D first of all. Looking at the 3D display settings in PowerDVD, the screen is set to automatic and looks like this:

If feels like the correct setting is not being picked up here as for passive screens PowerDVD is supposed to use the Micro-polarizer LCD 3D (Row interlaced) option according to this:

http://www.cyberlink.com/support/product-faq-content.do?id=13870&prodId=1

So I changed it to this but this but all this does is create a 3D image, but still the LG TV does not see it as a 3D image, so does not engage the 3D on the TV (thus it’s like looking at a 3D film on a 2D screen).

On PC 2 setup or on PC1 with the graphics card installed, the PowerDVD setting is left on auto detect and it shows the HDMI 1.4 enabled 3D TV option as shown below (which works fine to the LG TV):

PowerDVD’s guide says this setting is supposed to be for active shutter glasses anyway, so I’m not sure why it is showing this setting anyway, when the LG TV is passive. But it works. When using the intel graphics, however, this option cannot be selected as it says that relevant hardware is not present.

Whilst testing with just the intel graphics I also saw these at different times (though i suspect these might be red herrings caused by my testing):

I also tried all sorts of different resolutions (4096x, 3840x, 1920x) and no difference to the original issue.

In summary, there is an issue (as previously reported) with intel HD graphics (and/or available software) with 3D iso/3D disc playback with LG OLED screens. The TV is just not seeing a 3D signal. Is this specific to LG? OLED? 4K? Passive? Is there the same problem with 7th gen intel processors? Can you replicate this exact issue? Maybe PowerDVD is having problems seeing the 1.4 connection of the OLED as it is 2.0 (should be downwards compatible though).

I have also tried to use WinDVD Pro 12 and have the same issues (actually even worse, as it won’t display a 3D blu-ray in 3D even with my graphics card in – but they don’t specify that it should work with intel hd graphics so maybe that is fair enough).

But PowerDVD saying that it works for 3D Blu-ray playback with Intel HD graphics – and indeed it does (with the Samsung). I can’t see from intel what it should do with regards playing 3D movies, eg. on passive displays – but I assume this is a basic capability of modern graphics.

All HDMI connections/cables are 2.0 or above with the onboard graphics to LG setup. I believe the Samsung TV is 1.4 and the graphics card probably is too.

It sounds to me like Intel need to talk to Cyberlink (as was going to be done according to one of the other posts - but it never went anywhere).

I think the key thing here is for someone to confirm whether they can get it working with a passive display, and more particularly, a 4K OLED.

I can help with any questions.
