Description

Provide a detailed description of the issue

Display output in Windows is only 6-bit. This causes terrible color gradients and is completely unusable for any kind of work with images. I cannot downgrade the driver to a working one (August 2017 according to internet) because my processor is too new.

Intel UHD Graphics 620 issue with YouTube 4K@60Hz

Hello,

I have issues viewing YouTube content in 2160p at 60 Hz. The video is stuttering and YouTube's "statistics for nerds" reveals that about one third of the frames are dropped. I have a steady internet connection of about 60 Kbps and the buffer health is around 10 s. Thus the problem seems not to be with my connection but rather with the playback of the content. The stuttering is worse when viewing in fullscreen but noticeable otherwise as well. When switching from 2160p to 1440p the stuttering is reduced but some frames are still dropped (in fullscreen).

I'm using a laptop with an Intel Core i5-8250U, Intel UHD Graphics 620, 8 GB 2400 Hz DDR4 RAM and an external (extended) monitor. The external monitor runs at 3840x2160 resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate while the laptop monitor has a resolution of 1920x1080 and is also running at 60 Hz. I've tried connecting the monitor with an HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 with similar results. I'm using Windows 10 Education (10.0.17135) and graphics driver version 23.20.16.4973.

Intel Pentium J5005 Graphics Report

Description:

I am currently having the issue of trying to play Rocket League on integrated graphics using the provided Intel UHD 605 Graphics on a Desktop computer provided by Acer, the Aspire XC-830. At the moment, everything works fine on the computer and I've done optimizations to make Windows run more efficiently alongside completely removing all unneeded software so that scrolling through the net and playing games at 1344x768 (65Hz) is easily done at an acceptable personal goal for an FPS rate. It brings me back to why I made this and I've legit tried almost everything to get rid of my issue that is the creation of random freezing and the FPS stuttering it brings along during the games and training sessions. It always happens and I've reinstalled the game and steam a couple times now. I've gone through the hardware, software, applications, windows services, and even all the drivers provided and still no success. To give a percentage on how often this happens while the game is opened, i'd say often 85% of the time. (I have also gone to Pysonix Support and they said that my system is under the requirements but that's not really the case imo and logically, this new computer should handle it considering the hardware specs.)

Hardware:

-Acer Aspire XC-830-EB11

-Only the Intel UHD 605

-EFP w/ VGA Connection used

-8GB of SODIMM ADATA RAM

Software:

Windows 10 Home

Steam

How to Reproduce:

1. Install Steam

2. Install Rocket League

3. Play / Training

4. Enjoy Freezing and Stutters

That concludes my report, help me asap.

UHD Graphics 600 video tdr blue screen

Hello,

I have a recent Dell Inspiro 14 3473. Whenever I try to run Microsoft Office, the computer crashes and gives me BSOD with message Video TDR Failure.

I have updated all drives on the system as well as updated the BIOS.

I ran a full system check and the only issue found was the Intel UHD graphics 600. The test failure is linked to the Primary Surface Test, with the error code WVC07-L5N.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks.

Windows 10 not using Intel HD 3000

Hello, I have an issue regarding my integrated graphics card. A year ago my dedicated GPU stopped working and I've disabled it so I can use my laptop without issues. I've tried to make it work again today, but with no results. Disabled it again, my system booted up, and then I've noticed that my Recommended resolution is 1024x768 (native is 1600x900), and I can only choose between these two. Then I started Deus Ex Human Revolution and the setup menu popped up (which opens when you run the game for the first time) and only display adapters I could pick were Microsoft Basic Renderer 1 and 2, and also my refresh rate was 64Hz. When I opened the game the performance was way worse before I tried making my dedicated GPU to work again. Doom (1993) OpenGL based source ports also don't work as "OpenGL is not accelerated!". What's even weirder is that the only display adapter in Device Manager is Intel HD 3000. Also, the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel and Driver & Support Assistant Tray aren't working. I know that it's not supported for Windows 10, but it worked just fine before my tomfoolery with the dedicated GPU. Is there a solution?

Washed out colors on external monitor

$

When I plug my external monitor into my laptop over using a USB C/Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter the colors are washed out. When I'm plugged the built-in HDMI port everything is fine. This doesn't affect the built-in display.

The major difference between the two configurations appears to be that when I use the built-in port the Nvidia graphics card drives the display, but when I'm running over Thunderbolt the onboard Intel graphics chip is driving the display.

Now, the really crazy part is that if I open up the Intel Graphics Settings > Display > General Settings and I change any option then immediately hit Cancel it fixes the colors. The next time I reconnect the display or reboot the machine colors will be washed out again.

I took a quick video with my phone. It's super fuzzy, but you can see that I change the scaling setting from Maintain Display Scaling to Maintain Aspect Ratio, then just click Cancel. The display gets noticeably darker as the colors get fixed.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwnuMK7rphU

I've updated both Intel and Nvidia graphics drivers (24.20.100.6025 and 397.64 respectively). Tried a different Thunderbolt adapter. Tried playing with the color range in the Intel settings. I've also noticed the Video settings seem to do nothing, so the color range settings probably aren't even taking effect.

I suspect there's a bug in the Intel driver.

HD Graphics 630 Screen Shutter Issue

Hello

I have a new Lenovo ThinkCenter M710q with an i5-7500T and HD Graphics 630.  It is plugged in with displayport to an LG 27UD58-B.  I have an issue where the entire screen will shutter every few minutes.  It's not consistently happening on the minute, but it does consistently happen.  I have seen better results with newer drivers but I can't seem to get it to go away.

So far I have tried the following.  None of which has seemed to help.

  1. Turned off display scaling
  2. Installed the following drivers
    1. 24.20.100.6025
    2. 24.20.100.6094
    3. 24.20.100.6136
    4. 24.20.100.6286 - this is where I am now

There are a number of options in the Graphics Conrol Panel that I can change.  Do you have any suggestions on what to try.

Thanks

-Adam

Is there a replacement for G41 Express Chipset

$

I have an older desktop that uses the G41. (uses a 775 Socket) which our "friends" at MicroSoft issues an update on 9-10-2018 that basically stopped the unit from working.  The video will flash a few times and then display a not supported message on the screen.  The unit was a Win 7 and then upgraded to Win 10 2 years ago.  I would prefer the least expensive option to get back on line.  I do not like using my laptop if at possible.

My options appear to be:

1.  Replace the chipset

2.  Replace the mother board, etc.

3.  Purchase a new computer.

Would appreciate any feedback.  The so called repair shops all want to sell a new machine at the $750 and up range.  I am on fixed income and not wanting to go that route!

Frequent FPS drops in GTA 5 with HD4600

I have been playing games for a long time now, but after updating to the latest drivers of HD4600 I am seeing flickering and FPS drops with FPS going from 30FPS to 5-10FPS for sometime and back to 30FPS. Also to get the screen tear and flicker issue in game I changed the Direct X in game to 11 from 10.1 and had to switch on Vsync. But even then the drops are frequent.

Was just checking for an update for Intel HD Graphics 4600 cause I have an i5-4460, but I found that the most recent update for the Windows 10 64-bit (20.19.15.4963) was missing. I noticed that the version for Windows 7 and 8 was recently updated, maybe it was removed in preparation for an updated Windows 10 version?

3D settings for screensavers?

Hi all

How can I set custom 3D settings for 3D screensavers? The screensaver itself doesn't include a setting for antialiasing, but I have the screensaver running on another system with AA under nVidia graphics. The Intel HD Graphics Control Panel only allows me to select .exe files not .scr files and I can't see how I can apply AA globally.

I have a Win10 x64 system with an i5 7200U CPU and 620 integrated graphics running 24.20.100.6286 drivers.

Thanks.

Intel HD Graphics 630: ASIO audio dropouts with single-channel memory

$
0
0

I have been having issues with audio dropouts when using USB audio interfaces such as Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen with Ableton Live 10 on my laptop.

Audio configuration in Ableton Live 10 as follows.

Driver Type: ASIO

Sample Rate: 44100 Hz

Buffer Size: 64 samples

System configuration as follows.

Operating System: Windows 10 Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.125)

Intel Graphics Driver Version: 22.20.16.4815

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700HQ

Memory: 1 x 16 GB DDR4-2400

If I start playing audio in Ableton Live, open some explorer windows by pressing Win+E a few times and then quickly press Win+Tab repeatedly I will get audio dropouts.

This occurs if I have a single memory module (1 x 16 GB DDR4-2400) installed in single-channel configuration.

If I have two of the same memory module (2 x 16 GB DDR4-2400) installed in dual-channel configuration, the memory bandwidth is doubled and the issue disappears.

So it seems the Intel HD Graphics 630 is bottlenecked by the memory bandwidth available in single channel configuration and that is adding latency to memory operations related to audio processing resulting in audio dropouts. Note that hybrid graphics systems are also affected even when the preferred graphics processor is set to the discrete GPU because the Desktop Window Manager always runs on the Intel GPU and there is currently no way to change this either in the discrete graphic card's control software or in Windows 10 (Insider Preview Build which adds settings to control preferred graphics for certain programs).

Could this issue be mitigated somehow for systems with single-channel memory configuration so the audio dropouts don't occur?

There should be a way to throttle the maximum speed of data being transferred between the Intel GPU and the system RAM according to the memory bandwidth available so there is enough memory bandwidth free to be able to process audio at low latency without dropouts. Unfortunately there are many systems that either have memory soldered on in single channel configuration or only a single memory slot in single-channel configuration so there is no ability to change them to dual-channel configuration.

Thanks.

Black (filled with windows background image) screen on submonitor HD630

Hello!

We are using video surveillance software with fullscreen mode on 3 monitors, connected to HD630 (Intel i7 7th generation) with Intel HD Graphics driver version 15.60.2.4901 and after startup all submonitor's screens become filled windows background color (black in my case). Seems like the window on the screen become fully transparent, but looks like any actions on transparent window's elements is working.

Main monitor's screen stay OK.

We also reproduced that issue on HD630 on i5-7500 and i7 6-th generation with 15.60.2.4901 driver version. Driver version 22.20.16.4664 do not have this problem.

As we check, all versions newer than 4664 do have this problem.

OS: Windows 10 Pro

Could you please help with the problem?
